Tacos & Dogos Don Nico

Birria kingdom found! This hole in the wall found in a non-descriptive strip mall turned out to be solid gold when it comes to birria!! I knew at first sight it was a good place when I arrived about 40 minutes before closing on a random Tuesday night (9:50'ish) in an attempt to satisfy my hankering for tacos and found the place bustling with patrons.Cashier was very friendly and helpful when I was trying to pare down what to order. She recommended the quesabirria in addition to the carne and birria tacos I had already ordered. Everything was delicious but the quesabirria will have me going back again and again! And, again and again! Generous portions and they don't skimp on the meat portions. While the salsa and condiments bar was understandably low shortly before closing there was just enough to add some additional flare to the smorgasbord ordered. The salsas paired well with everything! I will definitely be back and wouldn't hesitate to drive out of my way to go here.

The tacos were so good. Loved the carne asada and the pastor ones. The michelada was also nice and refreshing, I liked the chamoy and tajin on the rim. Our food came out fast and there were lots of tables inside. The staff were very nice too. Everything on the menu u was reasonably priced. Unfortunately I wasn't able to try the hot dog but that is their specialty so I will definitely try it next time.

Don Nico has been my go to spot for tacos for the past few years. They initially started out as a food truck, before becoming brick & mortar, and are currently working on opening a new location. All their meats are incredibly flavorful & tacos are loaded with a lot of it too. Here you can find a variety of Sonoran style hotdogs, various meats for tacos, quesadillas, lorenzas and more. I have yet to try their seafood, so I can't say much about that. Head to the salsa bar for a selection of a salsas & various condiments. The red molcajete style salsa is amazing!! Service is great and workers are always so pleasant & cheerful. Hands down the BEST taco at this small hole in the wall that will be sure to leave you wanting more.

Stopped in with some friends for a late night taco run. This place is located in a strip mall but the sign is easily seen from the road. We arrived 30min before they closed and they were decently busy. They didn't try and rush anyone out, they genuinely seemed like they were happy to feed everyone. I loved it!The store is small but has a rather large patio for outside seating. Not too loud inside and was perfect for friends to catch up and eat a plethora of taco!I got a Cabeza Taco, Asada Taco and a bean and cheese burrito. Everything tasted amazing, and they didn't skip out on the meat...the tacos were packed! The bean and cheese burrito was super good...a little pricey for just a bean burrito but I'd order it (everything) again. I didn't try the senora dogs but heard they were good as well from my friends. We loved this place and will be back!

Hands down great service! Fresh meat aaaand they hooked up my tacos keto style! (Cheese shell) the owner even came out and said that he had never made but wondered how they were. They were so good that I asked for one more We got hella food! Two asadoro hot dogs, a carne asada quesadilla, two tacos de birria, carne asada nacho fries, 3 keto tacos and two aguas. Total came out to $55, which isn't too bad. Although I'm 40 minutes away I just may take the drive out here. The service was awesome as well. The two young ladies at the register were really sweet and worked very well together. I feel like energy goes into food and when people are nice it makes your food taste better!! if you are in the area this place is a definite must for some fresh carne asada, pastor and birria.

Gave me two burnt buns, as you can see I tried to take off one already but the second one is just as charcoal and the bacon around the hot dog isn't done. I'm pissed and pregnant. This isn't ok

I love this traditional place. I love that I can get tacos at 9am, I love the sarape tablecloths, I love the amble outside seating area and I loved the cheerful service this morning! There's a Birria place that is my baseline against all others and THIS place reminds me of the other family owned place. You're gonna get down n dirty with the food here and it's heaven. My first bite of Birria went like a river down my arm and all over my hands with its juiciest filling and super tender shredded beef filling. Not gonna lie, I had....a moment. I ordered the quesadilla Birria as well as the Sonoran dog- they were loaded up and delicious!!! I can see myself chillin here on the patio all summer

I love this place. They have the best dogs and quesabirria on this side of town. More specifically, the West and South side both have slightly better options, but this is so great and so much closer than Avondale or driving down to Hermosillo that there's no question in my mind. Their carne asada is incredible too... Just go... You'll be happy.

I ate here a while ago and I think I had tacos and liked them. I remember the service being very friendly and they were again this time but the food was kind of gross. The salsa both kids I tried were way too salty almost like Tabasco but not spicy.The quesadilla had beans guac inside but it just didn't do much for me.Fairly average my guess is that I should have gone with a dog instead

Birria tacos were amazing, staff was attentive and amazing! Ambiance was authentic! I would definitely recommend the birria tacos and the Al Pastor tacos! Yummy!
