Tacoma's No1 Fried Rice

I ordered takeout from this place and let me tell you something: best Asian stop in Tacoma, hands down. Kind of a small restaurant, but I always prefer takeout on Asian food for some reason anyways. The portion size was immaculate, the taste was incredible, and the service was great too. Fair prices and delicious food=happy customers.

I was in Tacoma for work and this place happened to be nearby and very convenient. They have a small parking lot but there's also street parking. It's a good size restaurant but it's not huge. The sign "Tacoma's No1 Fried Rice" caught our attention. But also, was recommended by some co-workers. When you walk from the parking lot, immediately you can smell the food coming from the restaurant. Smells so good.When you come in you are greeted by the person at the counter. You order the food at the counter and they bring your food to you. The food came fast and we still had plenty of time to walk around. Though they advertise the best fried rice, neither one of us had it. We had one of their many combos. My friend had the Teriyaki Chicken with steamed rice, salad, and egg roll. I had Teriyaki Chicken, with chow mein and steamed rice. It was a good amount of food for one person and It was delicious! The chicken was tasty and I almost ate all of my chow mein. I was happy the Noodles weren't over cooked. Both of us spent less than $20 for our meals. Can't beat that.

This is my to-go spot for a quick hot lunch in the Hilltop area. The food is always hot and on point. I wish they had a Kung pao/chow mein lunch option so I wouldn't have to buy the full Kung Pao serving, but you can't have it all. They still don't have indoor seating so you'll have to grab your food to go. Don't forget to ask for chopsticks!

I've been looking for a good Chinese restaurant in the area and came across Tacoma's No1 Fried Rice. I ordered the Lunch Bento special which I got with General Tso and Chicken Teriyaki. It also comes with 4 pieces of California Roll, 2 gyoza, 1 tempura, white rice and side salad. Both of the chicken (General tso and teriyaki) were fresh, flavorful and cooked perfectly. For $15, this is a great deal and enough for two people/meals. I also ordered the crab rangoons, which were okay but I like alot of filling and this was scarce. Overall, I'll be back to try other things from the menu.

They get four stars for what they are , good fast Asian food the garlic chicken wings are my favorite and so is the fried rice made with pork chicken and prawns . They are great for work potlucks because the food is predictable you know what you are getting and the portions are big. They do a really good job in general and for a quick grab and go they are fantastic

The pictures are of the large portion size which are really big! They had a clean setting area and nice ambiance. Bit pricey, good for group eating. Food was as expected.

It was very clean, we saw reviews and came to try it out. At first I was shocked w the front cashier is she was not nice. kept throwing the food containers back and arguing w staff. I figured sheesh shes gonna make sure its done right! But then we got home $20 rice per order, unseasoned, overboiled, not fried but boiled, and tasteless. Garlic chicken tasted regular fried w basic salt and light pepper and the sauce was mayonaise w a bit of garlic. This was soo bland. It was gross. our kid liked the teriyaki, but at 120 dollars you can bet I will cook at home next time. I won't return here!! So disappointing that I had to refry my food and season it before eating the rice. Ohhh and if you order crab be clear- its imitation not real crab!! Egg rolls were forgettable too.

The house chicken wings are outstanding. And the rice is not bad.the portion is was great don't miss out on this one. Service was fantastic. Small restaurant . In a part of town going through revitalization parking is tough.

Never been here until today. The restaurant was clean, they had a great menu board. It was an interesting time. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and pork lunch special w/Gyoza. The Gyoza came out fresh and hot 3 minutes after I sat down, I was impressed.What was lackluster was the teriyaki chicken, it came out room temperature and the sauce was cold. The pork came out hot however, wasn't that flavorful and wasn't very appealing to look at.All in all, I wouldn't say don't come here because I know there's gotta be better food.I would say order Chinese food here, it will probably be hot when it comes to the table.

Good service, ok food, and enormous portions. I was in town for an event and needed a quick bite. Good reviews and I took the plunge.On the plus side, I had two meals. A bit pricy but it's downtown Tacoma. Every costs extra, $2 more if you want it spicy which is a downer for me. I generally eat everything spicy and there are no condiments except soy sauce. A good amount of veggies with my yakisoba and no complaints on the flavor except for the lack of spice.If you need a quick meal, check it out.
