I never thought I would say the sentence, "I had indian infused tacos." But here I am, I did eat them, and I loved it. Gotta say I truly enjoyed my time at Taco Maya. The place was really creative and just different. They are not a big spot, but they seem to have a great deal of personality. What more do you want, right? Bigger doesn't mean better. We came Saturday night and sat by the bar. The music was perfect, upbeat but not loud. The bartender was incredibly helpful. He was chatty and engaging. I appreciated that he was able to provide some great suggestions for food and drinks. He seemed to put a lot of love and thought in his drinks, and it showed. Their waffle fries loaded with cheese, and their cauliflower tacos may have been the most amazing thing I have eaten. I can't wait to come back again. You should visit too my fellow reader, you will not be disappointed.

Was and amazing experience, with a friend. Service was awesome with a smile. What brought me here was the fusion of Indian and Mexican dishes. And they did not disappoint. I'll be returning.

I had the opportunity to share in great conversations over an Indian infused taco meal with fellow Yelpers this past Thursday. Taco Maya & Jhoom Bar did not disappoint, and with Summertime Chi around the corner, the food experience here promises to be delicious, fun, and entertaining. This isn't your regular taco experience. The flavors are inspired by Indian cuisine where you can turn down or turn up the heat! Don't think that the Indian inspired experience stops at the tacos. Oh no. The drinks are just as delicious, and with the various weekday specials or with the Flight option that is reasonably priced, you can come in and try them all. This Logan Square gem is not like the other locations. You are going to get something new and different, and are going to want to come back for more. Don't just take my word for it. Go experience "The Experience". It's a Vibe.

Tried to hit Lula today for lunch but they are closed on Tuesdays so we wandered over to Taco Maya & Jhoom Bar. The music was bumpin', the service was quick and friendly, and the tacos were so good!!! I already can't wait to go back. I can't stop thinking about the Nashville Hot Chicken taco. It was spicy and sweet and crispy and crunchy and drenched in sauce. The tacos were overstuffed and fresh. House music and delicious unique tacos...yes yes yes. Logan Square, you still have my taco-shaped heart!

Being that I sporadically visit Taco Maya - Rosemont, I was happy to see Taco Maya & Jhoom Bar as a hot new business trending in Logan Square because it is closer to my neighborhood on the west-side of Chicago. It was a must visit for me because I have had nothing but good experiences with the location in Rosemont.Since this portion of Logan Square neighborhood along Milwaukee Ave is always congested, I ordered online with yelp which is always convenient. I have never had beyond meat vegan chorizo, so I ended up ordering two of their veggie chorizo tacos w/ a jarritos! Ooouuu, the Grapefruit jarritos was so hard to pass up because it is my favorite flavor. The only option for parking I noted is along N Milwaukee Ave. During this visit, I was fortunate enough to find a parking spot directly outside of the restaurant which was pay by the plate. And I paid only $1.04 for no more than 25 minutes which I did not use entirely because I was in-and-out with my order.I encountered a gorgeous young woman at the register who I confirmed my order for pick-up with which awaited me. After confirming, she grabbed my jarritos out of the freezer, then directed me towards the salsa bar where I immediately looked for avocado salsa - mild which I have enjoyed in the past. Service: 4 (Good)Inside, Taco Maya & Jhoom Bar gave off a lively vibe with its lovely interior along with its folding glass doors open. I chuckled because being the savage I am rather than using the main door to enter, I walked through their folding glass doors instead which serves as an inviting feature to their dining area. Now as for dine-in, there are plenty of tables with seats available in the dining area. Even with only a few people inside during my visit, the atmosphere at Taco Maya & Jhoom Bar felt very enticing. As I left, I could not help but notice drivers looking more than once as they drove along Milwaukee Ave.Atmosphere: 5 (Great)As for my food, I must say that the veggie chorizo tacos were satisfying but would have dazzled my taste buds more with the right salsa or dressing. I think next time, if I do not order their Burrito Bowl, which I have enjoyed at its Rosemont location, I will try the veggie chorizo tacos with a different salsa or dressing. Food: 4 (Good)I would gladly order from Taco Maya & Jhoom Bar again in the future when in the Logan Square area, or if I get a craving for something ordered previously. Service: 4 | Atmosphere: 5 | Food: 4Recommendations: Burrito Bowl (No meat)~ Selfcare is healthcare. ~ Thomas G

Definitely a 3.5 as most of the food was solid but a few items I threw away after 1 bite. I wanted to try most of the Proteins to provide a thorough review:The GOODMaya Salad with ShrimpAlso Good:1 Nashville Hot Chicken Taco, Flour Tortilla, Pico de Gallo1 Grilled Chicken Taco, Flour Tortillas, American, Pickled Jalapeño, Grilled Onions, Rice2 tacos were good but for different reasons. The Nashville Hot was DELICIOUS because the chicken was fried perfect and the sauce was Damn Good! The slaw has too much mayo but it wasn't horrible The Grilled chicken was Nasty, however the pickled jalapeños, rice, and onions - all Extra Cost- were delicious and fresh! The BAD:Ground Beef Burrito, Suizo Sauce, Rice, No Beans The Beef is simmered in spices that were GROSS! burrito was missing the lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese which added to the disappointment. 1 bite and GarbageI had 2 sauces - the mild was sweet and good! The habanero sauce was liquid and no heatI'll return but try other items

Middling score because my experience was fine; I'd unlikely return though with so many options in the neighborhood. I made the mistake by checking Yelp and seeing 5 stars but not doing a deeper dive. It seems that there was a limited number of reviews and of those they were primarily from people who attended a Yelp event. The margaritas were good. The protein bowl was ok, as were the fries. Mixed reviews within my group on the churros. It was clean and spacious but overall uninspiring. The background music was loud enough that the waitress missed hearing that one of my dining partners had ordered a meal (too loud).

The place was empty when we arrived, but the Yelp reviews convinced us to at least stay for one taco. It is a recently opened establishment, so it makes sense why it isn't packed (yet). We ordered drinks (the margarita and a delicious vodka cumin prosecco thing), and we were immediately brought six different salsas with chips and seasoned cashews. All of them slapped, and this is coming from a well-salsa-ed Texan. We had four tacos: chicken tikka, samosa, masala potato, and cauliflower 65. Each of them were so well-seasoned and flavorful. The masala potato legit made me tear up, as it reminded me of true Indian street food. The samosa taco was so good that we ordered a second! The service was top notch. Everyone was incredibly nice and the server offered amazing suggestions for what to order. They seemed to truly love being there and making us feel welcome. They even insisted on a free churro dessert before we left! The ambiance feels a little more casual but we were into that. Their front windows open completely for a patio vibe and they had ample booth seating too. All in all, this is going to be a regular for us. I'm already craving it again and have plans to bring friends!

Creative, flavorful Indian-fusion tacos in a fun vibe at a rarely low price for the neighborhood. A new staple for me!I got 2 tacos (the tikka and cauliflower 65) for $8, and they were INCREDIBLE! The tacos are loaded with fresh herbs and the intense seasonings that remind me of homemade Indian and Mexican food. The staff was SO attentive and warm. They consistently checked on us but never hovered. You can tell everyone is deeply invested in Taco Maya's success. The indoor/outdoor patio vibe of the entire place is perfect for summer. The music is lit and the drinks are strong, so I could see this place popping at night.(Don't forget the churros for dessert, they're incredible!)

Came here for lunch and had a great lunch and great service. The menu is Mexican-Indian fusion and both styles were delicious. Ruchi was our waitress and was very helpful & attentive. Chips & salsa were provided & the chips have a good seasoning on them. I had the Samosa, Yucatán and Korean Beef tacos, which were all delicious but the samosa was my favorite. The spicy pineapple margarita wasn't too sweet and had good heat. Will return!
