Taco & Burrito House

So yummy with reasonable price. I wish they could have bathroom. You may want to bring napkins for your hands.

I'm relatively new to the area and on the hunt for the best burrito in the Lakeview/Lincoln Park vicinity. I've tried a few, but this was my first time here. At first glance, this was an unremarkable burrito. At first taste, I had the same reaction. 3 stars, at best. Then, I tried their red salsa and that boosted it to 4 stars. That rating was supported by the fact that the burrito could stand up on its own! However, as I kept eating, the bottom of the burrito got greasier and wetter until it had a full blowout. Had to take away a star for poor construction. Would've been nice had they grilled the burrito to make it more durable. With a similar name, Taco & Burrito Express wins this Burrito Battle!

Convenient for a late night spot in Lakeview, but it won't leave you feeling satisfied. Got the carne asada burrito, for a 2nd time, and it misses all the marks. Lack of ingredients & flavor, along with a messy ride. You're better off getting the cheese quesadilla, which was totally fine.

Came across this place randomly since the sushi place a few blocks down had an extremely long wait. Definitely a hole in the wall Mexican joint. It had the standard items - tacos, quesadillas, tortas, burritos, nachos, horchata, etc. Ordered a steak taco and al pastor (pork) taco. According to the menu, all of the tacos have lettuce, cheese and tomatoes (definitely more for the American palate). However I only eat tacos with onions and cilantro so you can ask for that instead! Also ordered fries which seemed to have been fried to order.Overall not bad. I've had better tacos but at least they didn't skip on the portions of the fillings!

This place is not it. The prices are good but the portions are tiny. Not to mention I paid for rice in my burrito and didn't get any. I also asked for no hot sauce because I'm allergic to peppers and they put hot sauce in it anyway. Had to throw it out after waiting an hour for delivery. If you have any type of food allergies avoid this place at all costs. Also just spend a couple more dollars and get a much better burrito.

My food was good but my experience was not.I placed an online order and arrived to the store within 10 minutes. The man at the register told me "oh we didn't think you were coming so we didn't make your order". 10 minutes later they tried to give me someone else's order and when I showed them my receipt of my order, the man asked me if I still want my food??? Yes I paid for the food so why wouldn't I want what I paid for?Also the people preparing the food used their bare hands and no gloves which is disgusting.

We ordered two tacos and one chicken burrito for take out. Surprisingly good. My only suggestion is that the person who takes orders be ready to greet and take orders right away. And not talk on the phone for five minutes while customers are waiting.

Have been working the last couple days in the neighborhood. Went in today and ordered a steak burrito to go. Very friendly employees. But was really disappointed in my burrito. Can we atleast season the steak with something? Maybe some salt? Like something please! No napkins included. Cheap. Won't be back.

I've only had their Carne Asada tacos, but I get 3 at a time for lunch when I have a chance. This place has the best tortillas and I think they are handmade. I may get tacos from other places for different reasons, but I always come back to this place for their tortillas. Check them out, I hope you feel the same way.
