Szechwan Tasty proved to be an absolute delight for my taste buds. The spicy fish fillet was a culinary masterpiece, undoubtedly the best I've ever had. The beef Szechwan was equally delicious, showcasing the restaurant's prowess in delivering exceptional flavors.Despite its small size, the restaurant exudes a personable charm. The individual at the counter not only assisted with my order but did so with utmost politeness, enhancing the overall dining experience. Szechwan Tasty has earned its place as my go-to spot for all things Szechwan. I look forward to returning for more delectable experiences. A hidden gem indeed!

Serivce, excellent! Hostess was super friendly, engaging, and patient with sharing her recommendations on what to order. She was patient with our questions since it was our first time. I ordered the jalapeño chicken. It was delicious! I just could handle the spice after a while. It has a kick! The lunch special is a great deal and gives more than enough food.I would recommend trying this place out!

I recently dined at Szechuan Tasty and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. We started with the pork soup dumplings, which were delightfully soupy and bursting with flavor. The wrapper had just the right texture, making every bite enjoyable. Moving on to the main course, the Szechuan beef was a standout with its savory sauce and perfectly cooked vegetables - tender but not soggy or overcooked, with a slight crunch. However, the star of the meal was undoubtedly the spicy fish fillet. The fish was incredibly light and crispy, with a tender, flaky interior. Topped with spicy chopped dried chilies, green onion, and Szechuan peppercorn, it was a true flavor explosion. The service was both friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall positive experience. While the atmosphere may have been a tad plain, the exceptional food more than made up for it. I highly recommend Sichuan Tasty for anyone looking to indulge in authentic and flavorful Sichuan cuisine.

We were in town & our normal Chinese food spot was closed the day we were there so 8 of us came in here for lunch. The place was inviting, seemed clean & the team members were nice. All of us thought the food was just ok, we all liked their soups the best. I got the Szechwan Beef which was much better than their orange chicken & broccoli beef & jalapeno chicken. We were all bummed that they didn't offer soda from a fountain drink machine & only in cans (at a price gouging price). We may give this place another shot since it seems like people like this place.

Stopped here the other night to try. My friend I absolutely love authentic szechwan cuisine. Our favorite was Szechwan Palace at the former Chinese cultural center (r.i.p.). Unfortunately, our search continues. The service, efficiency, speed, and overall dine in experience was good! Friendly overall. The two dishes we ordered were the pork with bamboo shoots and the 2 piece water boil (we opted for beef & fish). Now, the water boil is supposed to be prepped in the true Szechwan style, meaning tongue numbing spice. I had to order an extra side of chili oil to douse onto my rice to even feel anything. My spice tolerance is slightly above average for an East Asian person. And I have had my butt kicked and handed back to me at certain Thai, Chinese, and Indian restaurant. So I'm definitely not a spice tycoon by the least but oh boy was I let down. The water boil's broth, soup, whatever you want to call it, was 70% oil, 20% sodium, and 10% spice. No tongue numbing effect at all. I've been to other Chinese restaurants without the "Szechwan" in their names that offered Szechwan inspired dishes with more tongue numbing spice than this place. Come here for friendly service and a very nice size menu. They even categorize it for you. Americanized dishes on one side of their menu, more "traditional" dishes on the opposite side.

I am reviewing again! I can't get enough of this place. I had the twice cooked pork (L26) lunch combo today and it was great! The pork had great flavor and the sauce had a hint of spice and saltiness. First time having this dish and I am hooked.

Szechwan Tasty Restaurant is a standout for top-notch Chinese food in the valley. It's known for authentic, bold flavors and a wide menu, from Kung Pao Chicken to Mapo Tofu. Our favorite dish was spicy fried fish.

I've been here a couple times and it's always been great. Fast service and food is always fresh and delicious. My first time here I tried the Water Boiled Beef and it was a super interesting experience with the mouth numbing Szechwan pepper soup base. If you like eggplant the Yu Xuang Eggplant is delicious. Today I went for their barbecue pork chow main which you can't go wrong with. The restaurant always looks clean and I've never had to wait to get seated. Portions are large, I recommend getting a couple of dishes and sharing family style.

Thanks to the Yelper that posted the previous pic of the braised pork! Once I saw it, I had to try it! So good! Tender, melt in your mouth deliciousness, in a nice brown gravy, big pieces of pork belly and a nice portion too! I also ordered the cucumbers in garlic sauce and it too was a winner! Service was friendly and prompt! Can't wait to come back to try some more dishes. If you are looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant in Gilbert, this is your place!

Tried this spot via UberEats and got the yangzhou fried rice, yuxiang eggplant, mapo tofu, and boiled spicy fish. Everything was as expected, the mapo tofu was a little salty but was fine with white rice. The eggplant and tofu was a bit extra greasy....otherwise no complaints here. If we are ever in the area I'd definitely want to try this spot in person for a fresher experience!
