Ou server Donny was very friendly, gave great suggestion on menu, and took good care of us.The pot roast is amazing!! We shared an order of the pot roast and a bowl of vegetable soup. We really enjoyed the meal.The place is very clean and nice.

Five of us went on a Sunday morning for brunch. Despite having a good-sized parking lot, a couple of us had to park along the curb or circle a couple times looking for a spot.We were added to the waitlist immediately and it took about 30 minutes to get seated. If you have smaller parties, they do have spots at the bar that seem to open up quickly based on the staff asking others waiting in line. Once seated, the waitress was wonderful, she was very prompt and polite, answering all our questions. Sweetmilk has a great collection of Southern breakfast staples from pimento cheese grits to French toast. Their portions are large, so come hungry. For my friends that placed orders with eggs and/or bacon, they do ask how you want them cooked. I got the southern breakfast bowl with fried chicken, pickled red onions, cheesy grits and a fresh biscuit. Absolutely delicious, every bite was well flavored. Definitely look forward to coming back for the sandwiches. The hostess recommended the club, mentioning that it was made with turkey breasts, not shaved or sliced turkey like what you get a the grocery store. Sounds amazing!

Trivia: Define sweet milk (hint:read the menu). Excellent service and accommodations. When I asked for the vanilla sweet cream cold brew with the sweet cream on the side, they brought me cream, vanilla, and the classic cold brew in separate containers. It was nice to make my own mix. I will admit that I thought the biscuit was a joke when the plate arrived. It was TINY. But it WAS tasty. But I had ordered the side of gravy thinking I could make my own sort of biscuits and gravy side, but this wasn't really possible since two swipes of jam and the biscuit was covered. The casserole was hot and full of flavor. No complaints other than the sheer heat/temperature meant some time was needed before it was consumable. Lots of natural light and a tiered dining room made for a cool space.

Fun spot for brunch, the restaurant is very open and bright. Our server was really friendly and knew the menu well. We started off with some delicious cocktails and ordered the Big Ol' Cinnamon Roll to share. Unfortunately it was very dry, our server noticed we had only taken one bite. When we told him it was very dry and we could not finish it he took it off the tab which we appreciated. Our entrees were very good and the portions are pretty big so come hungry!

I visited on a busy Thursday morning, but I managed to find a seat at the first-come, first-served bar, which has convenient hooks and outlets for charging electronics. They offer fresh-squeezed orange juice, which was a nice touch. My food arrived quickly and was wonderful. The single bathroom was very clean, and the open kitchen lets you watch the team prepare your meal. The biscuits with homemade jam were incredible!Considering how busy it was on a weekday morning, I can only imagine the weekend crowds. The bartenders, who also handle many to-go orders, were fantastic, so I tipped them extra. I would definitely return if I'm in the area again.

I've had to go to a low to no carb diet and unfortunately the menu is very limited for that. I ordered the 2 eggs scrambled with cheddar cheese and country ham. I'm posting this because of the country ham situation which I have a picture of. This was very unappetizing and honestly you shouldn't serve that big hunk of fat to the customer even though pork fat rules.

Has a chicken fried steak biscuit with gravy & crispy hashbrowns. Steak was breaded lightly and fried crispy on the outside. Inside nice and tender. Good flavor and the gravy was awesome. Nice black pepper sprinkled thru out. Biscuit was light and not doughy. Nice buttery taste. Hashbrowns were nice and crispy but tender on the inside. Very good flavor, not greasy at all. Washed it down with their sweet tea.

The Emery Commons development in Donelson has been a welcome addition to the Nashville 'burbs - and nothing seems to be more popular than Sweetmilk. Packed on weekends, you can expect a wait - but it's such a lovely and enjoyable place to eat, it's worth it. It offers both indoor and outdoor seating with open garage doors in nice weather so even indoor feels airy.As of posting, the team was still tweaking their menu, which includes all-day breakfast and lunch after 11. The menu tilts toward traditional southern fare with fried chicken and biscuits and the like. They are also adding "Hippie Toasts" for some lighter fare, to go alongside salads and their really tasty veggie soup. This would be a tough sell for vegans - but the staff and kitchen are super flexible and will amend to suit. Great for vegetarians with build-your-own veggie plates that can include eggs, avocado, salad greens and other non-meat options. It would be nice to have just a few meat subs to choose from - either Beyond or Impossible burgers and sausages. That would make this more vegetarian-friendly. *Shout-out to server Kelcie - who even tracked down the brand of gluten-free bread served. Rudi's, in case you were wondering.

10/10 food and ambiance! Highly recommend the breakfast casserole, the side buttermilk pancake, and the biscuits! Somehow the pancake is both crispy and moist and fluffy all at the same time - mind blowing and simply a must try!

Service was quick and efficient. Atmosphere had great vibes..Avocado toast was excellent! The Traditional breakfast was delicious!This will be our new breakfast spot to come to for breakfast.We want to try lunch there soon...
