Sweet Violette

I've been getting my wife's hummingbird birthday cake from Violette for a few years now and I keep coming back because every single time the cake turns out prefect, the quality has never wavered, and my wife, family, and myself absolutely love it!!I'm very glad I found Sweet Violette and will continue to get my cakes from her!!

My family and friends were fans of Kingfish Cafe when it was around. I recently found out that the cake slices being sold at Miro Tea in Ballard were by the same in house pastry chef that made the cakes at King Fish. My friend loved this cake so much back when he turned 40 he had the cake ordered the cake for his party from the cafe. He is visiting from LA and I had told him about finding out where to order his favorite coconut cake from. I'm sure he had a slice between his 40th birthday till now that he's 59 but he was so excited when I told him I had to order. We were having a small gathering of friends at his brother's during his stay so I placed an order for a 6 inch. I personally couldn't pick it up, but my friend who loves the cake did.Pick up went smoothly and the cake was wrapped in a plastic wrap which was nice. It was a warm day and I told my friend to make sure to have a cooler of sometime. We could not have been happier with the cake was as good as he remembered. Everyone loved the cake. Thank you for making my friend so happy!! I've picked up a couple slices from Miro for friends of the hummingbird and Blackout cakes. I'm afraid to buy a slice for myself cause it will be too easy to go back each time. The cake was moist and it wasn't overly sweet. There was still a quarter of the cake left for my friend to enjoy after the gathering. Thank you for making the visit so special.

Amazing Gluten free and Vegan cake! Wasn't too sweet, the cake wasn't too doughy and it had really good flavor. I got the vanilla cake with lemon buttercream and it was delish! 8" cake is too much for 7 people hahaha

My husband and I want to give Sweet Violette the highest rating possible for the absolutely most incredible cake we've ever had and it was for our wedding celebration. They turned out so beautiful how they were decorated them with orchids which created the most beautiful display of the cakes. The taste of the cakes were out of this world and our guest at our wedding are still complimenting them. We had just returned from getting married in Maui so our cake choices were a pineapple upside down cake (which was the best we have ever had), lavender buttercream, coconut buttercream, vanilla buttercream, coconut trifecta, and vegan gluten free vanilla. The buttercreams and the cake was light, fluffy, and absolutely incredible flavor. The only issue is we had was that we had a hard time stopping eating the cake ;)Thank you, Sweet Violette

Violette is a master at her craft and it is evident when you meet her that she truly loves baking. She is innovative and likes coming up with new ideas to bake treats that delight everyone, even people with allergies to dairy and gluten. She has a variety of options for any special occasion large or small and goes out of her way to make her clients delighted. It was our pleasure to have her cater desserts for our outdoor wedding. We plan to be repeat customers to support her small business and taste more great things.J and S

Thank you so much Violette! You absolutely made my friend so happy that she was thought of, so you have my extreme gratitude! I called Violette the day before, and she was kind and flexible enough to not only make it for the next day, but also delivered it for me! I am stationed at Nellis AFB, and so I needed someone in Seattle I could trust to carry my request out for me while I couldn't do it personally. Violette did that and more, listening to the details, researching the colors, and creating it. She absolutely loved it! If you need a cake, you couldn't be in any better hands! Loved our red velvet cake for my son's first birthday! I asked for rock n roll themed cake in red/golden colors. Sweet violette did an amazing job putting our cake together!! Lovely!!

So delicious! The best gluten free cake I have ever had. I can't eat gluten so it was important to me to have a gluten free cake at our small wedding. My family was so surprised when they found out it was gluten free... everyone absolutely loved it! Viollette did such a great job communicating with us from the time we ordered the cake to the time we picked it up. We had a vanilla cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting. I wish I had a picture of the full cake, but the wedding day got away from us. Here is a quick picture I took after picking it up to give you an idea of the beautiful rosette design. I'll definitely be back in the future!

Needed a last minute vegan cake for a friend who I was unaware had an egg allergy. Took the order a couple days before and delivered to the venue. Was delicious!!!
