Sweet Retreat & Espresso

We just got on the island and parked in front of this place, in downtown, that was advertising breakfast Burritos. Just really a hole in the wall place that shouldn't be overlooked. We decided on breakfast bagels sandwiches and a raspberry latte. Dave was friendly, funny and great. We had a great talk with him finding out he grew up where we used to live in WA. The food and drink was fantastic. Great experience for just getting here. Thanks so much!

Great place to grab a quick pick-me-up! Sweet Retreat is a walk-up stand along downtown in Roche Harbor, making it really convenient. We were trying to find flavored Red Bulls, but they didn't have them. Instead, they had plant-based energy drinks that mimic the flavor Red Bulls... They were actually really good! I'd say it gave us just as much of a buzz as a Red Bull would. They've got a pretty large menu as far as drinks AND food goes. We didn't try any of the food, but they've got a ton. Ice cream, breakfast sandwiches, burgers, sandwiches... Not bad for a little walk-up establishment!

The owner was so welcoming! The drinks were right on too. White chocolate mochas and we will be coming back JUST to try his breakfast sandwich. Asked a few local girls about the breakfast and they unanimously said they love this place. I'm so impressed by the love they put into everything they prepare.

Great place for a quick bite and latte. The firefighters war here and that was good enough for me.Friendly staff and quick service. The best bite was the croissant breakfast sandwich. Add the potatoes for 50 cents more.Great latte. They know everyone in town.

The chipotle sauce on their breakfast burritos keeps me coming back weekly!! My favorite breakfast spot in Friday Harbor.

great service and great tasting breakfast sandwiches. Person working the day I came was awesome. There was still snow on the ground and they came out to my car took my order and brought it out to me. WONDERFUL!!!!!! Customer service and this was 15 minutes before they even opened. Definitely coming back here again.

Don't let the little shop in the alley way fool you. Fast service, great breakfast for the price, and friendly staff. No outdoor seating, so take your breakfast to go, but perfect to eat and stroll around town. Add the chipotle sauce to your sandwich, delicious!

OMG! This is our new favorite place in Friday Harbor. Our group ordered a variety of breakfast sandwiches that were cooked to perfection. Not only that, but the service was quick and the owner Dave and his daughter were both extremely friendly. We ordered the Lotus energy drink and an iced white mocha that were both delicious. The breakfast sandwich with potatoes and Dave's sauce were a personal fave. Definitely coming back!

You have to get a breakfast sandwich here!! And make sure to get the chipotle mayo sauce and potatoes in it - OMG. Iced coffee and smoothies were also unreal. Seriously - if you're deciding where to eat while on the island this is the place. Owner was super nice and friendly as well

Wonderful experience! Such a cute coffee place to order quick to go breakfast. The breakfast sandwich with croissant, eggs, cheese, and potato was delicious. The guy in the kitchen was so nice and friendly. We were impressed at how fast they were able to get breakfast sandwich and coffee to us. Definitely would come back.
