Sweet Cakes

I've ordered cakes from Sweet Cakes twice now, and both times everything has been fantastic - great communication, friendly service, reasonable pricing, and delicious cake. My daughter had a very specific request for her birthday: chocolate cake with salted caramel filling and frosting. Luckily, I knew just who to call.

Absolutely incredible!I am at a complete loss for words at how amazing these folks are! They made my a gem wedding cake for us and it was literally the prettiest cake I have ever seen! I did several cake tastings but Dena and her team were the best to work with!From the presentation of her cake tasting to the warmth and kindness in her approach! I knew instantly that she was the one I wanted to work with! I had gone to so many cake tastings but no one was as personable and kind as Dena was!From the taste, to the presentation, to the personal touch by giving us a cake stand to use! Sweet cakes is off the charts amazing!I highly highly recommend them!I personally vouch for them!Here is a pic from my phone that doesn't do justice to how gorgeous it was in person!

Absolutely love their gluten-free options! The s'mores bar is great ~ would recommend to anyone with gluten intolerance

I just called into ask about cakes and the answer was "We don't have any cakes and we don't know when we'll have them."I need a cake for an upcoming event and this isn't urgent but apparently - indefinitely- they won't have cake. Amazing. Me: Ok. When will you have cakes?Sweet Cakes: It's fairly hot and we won't have any. Me: ?? When will you have cakes?Sweet Cakes: We won't have any cakes. It's laughable what the difference between that answer and literally any date in the future means for communication. I can see why the rating for Sweet Cakes are tarnished. It's fairly hot, and I won't have any good reviews for you, Sweet Cakes. Maybe next time...

Hands down the best gluten free and dairy free cake I have ever had in my life--both my boyfriend and I have allergies to both. I had a cake specially made for my Law school graduation in May (see pictures below) and had to return for my boyfriends specially designed cake as well--gluten free and dairy free too! The staff are so sweet, and the cake designers are so flawless with their work! Definitely keeping them in mind for future events. In each cake design, they brought my vision to fruition and the best part is that no one knew it was a GF/DF cake!

It's hard to find a birthday cake when you have a dietary restriction. I've tried a number of gluten-free bakeries in the Seattle area, but Sweet Cakes was the first bakery that truly impressed me with the quality of its gluten-free offerings (and that's despite not being an exclusively gluten-free operation, which is saying something). Other places try to hit multiple markets by making all of their baked goods gluten-free AND vegan, and sometimes soy-free, nut-free, etc. on top of that. I'm glad those options are available for those who need them, but when those are the only options offered, I tend to steer clear. I'm only avoiding wheat, so I prefer to still enjoy the flavor from ingredients like milk and eggs whenever possible. (But for those of you who ARE gluten-free AND vegan, don't worry--Sweet Cakes has you covered, too.)Their customer service is also top-notch. They usually ask for 2 to 3 weeks notice for custom cakes, but when my husband's plan for my birthday cake from another bakery fell through at the last minute, I had to place an order with only a week's notice. I explained that I didn't need anything fancy. I just wanted to HAVE a cake for my birthday. They were very understanding and whipped up a delicious pink champagne cake with raspberry filling on short notice. Now I go back to them every year!

We ordered a beautiful confetti cake for our daughter's birthday! It was delicious and everyone enjoyed eating it. Several guests asked where we had gotten it from because it was so delicious!

Best gluten free desserts I have had such as the park lane bar and the chocolate Carmel bar! They also have a lot of non-gluten free options too. I will be back. Also, great customer service!

We used to order a 4" cake for our birthdays every year. The cakes taste good, but I'm done with them. I recently ordered the cake online, and paid. I got a call from the shop a day or so later to tell me that the cake was now $35 rather than the $24 that was posted on the website, and that I paid. Did I want to continue at the higher price? No! They cancelled the purchase.I feel the shop should've honored the purchase that I had already made and paid for, not called to ask for more money. (At least they checked ahead, and didn't spring it on my when I arrived to pick up the cake.)

Yummy sweet treats, the shop smelled amazing with fresh cookies being made. Great service, awesome food.
