For my birthday, we wanted an extra special cake. Year after year we have tried different custom bakeries from all over the valley. This year, google graced us by suggesting Sweet Art Cakes and desserts. I perused all of the lovely cakes she has on her instagram, read all of the positive reviews , and after chatting with Adi ( baker extraordinaire) decided to move forward. She was extremely accommodating as far as collaborating with me on ideas. And super flexible in general. Here's the rundown on the cake:First: LOOKS- the cake was EXACTLY visually what I asked for. Actually, it was even more beautiful than I ever hopedSecond: Flavor- I'm picky about cake. And I have a TON of incredibly severe food allergies. Adi was so accommodating and careful about my food limitations, down to the ingredients and chance of cross contamination in every element! When it's a matter of life and death allergies, this means the world! Despite my limitations, this was the singularly most delicious, moist, flavorful cake I have ever enjoyed! I cannot recommend Sweet Art Cakes highly enough and will say so wherever I can. Adi is a lovely woman and an incredibly talented baker with the eye or an artist. Adi, thank you for working so hard to make my birthday a rousing success!

I was not going to make a bad review because that's just not my thing but after being blocked I think I should. I messaged Adi last week March 25th about wanting a custom cake for my brother who was coming to visit from out of town. I did a lot of research and I liked Adi's work so I decided to reach out to her. I wanted to shop a smaller business and support local and was left with nothing and blocked. When I messaged on March 25th Adi had called me right away and I had told her everything I wanted and asked if I could have the cake by April 6th or if that was not enough time. She ensured me that she had one spot left and to text the number she was calling me from with all the details. After we hung up I immediately texted her pics and everything I wanted. We had a small conversation Thursday and Friday the 26th we discussed pricing and everything and I had made a decision on which cake I had wanted. She messaged me asking what the name of the video game theme was again so that that she could get more details and then asked what time I would need it by on the 6th. I responded with by 5pm would that work? She messaged back saying she would check. This was early Friday morning. I never heard a response back so on Saturday morning I messaged again asking if that time would work or if it would need to be earlier or later I even said "whatever works best for you" because I'm not a very demanding person and was just excited that she was willing to do the cake! She still never responded and today I finally reached out which I should have done Monday but I had assumed she was just really busy. I said I had still not heard back and wanted to make sure that time as still good with which she responded right away I'm so sorry we missed it can't place the order. I was super bummed and would have appreciated being told that sooner instead I had to reach out 2 more times to finally get an answer. I said I would have appreciated being told that sooner. She responded " Sorry but we was closed until today and I try to place it". I was not really sure what that meant? I responded "I'm not understanding by place the order? When I had called you March 25th you told me you one spot available and to text you all the information that day which I had done and Thursday. I'm sad and upset because I like to support small businesses that are local and I would have appreciated if you were upfront about not wanting to do it or not having time. You gave me pricing and everything and I thought everything was set to go. And then you never responded to me Friday. Now I have no time to look elsewhere." Well my message was never delivered and when I tried to call it said the number can't be reach meaning I was blocked. Iv never had this bad of customer service before. Super disappointed! I was really looking forward to the cake and experience based on her reviews and pictures! Hopefully in the future she will communicate better.
