I likethis place but will need a basic request to remain a customer and think others will agree i ordered sausage egg cheese sandwich poached egg, one egg not 2 and if possible ketchup on sandwichthere was no cheese, 2 eggs and eggs were friedok not the "biggest deal" but means did not read a single note and the whole thing with delivery is people want something specific at a specific time, I wanted a poached egg w cheese. Anyway I'll try one more time but really a request to the establishment - please read delivery orders.

Love the atmosphere, staff.very friendly and the food is great and affordable. I went with 2 other people and there was parking out back and plenty of room to and relax inside! Great place to catch a.bite.

Solid place, good food. Very clean. I have been here many times. Mostly for breakfast. Eggs are always fresh. Recently had egg whites and thought they were prepared perfectly with spinach mushrooms and bacon. Also the bacon is never greasy. Unlimited coffee and no rushing the customer. The lunch menu has plenty of choices. I do frequent the tuna melt sandwiches. The price is on the ok side but probably in line by todays standards. Parking is tough but a consistently good spot

This place is everything a diner needs to be. It's genuinely old school - not a "nouveau sexy" whatever in Cambridge (nothing wrong with that, I love that stuff too) - this place has stuck to its roots. Great service, solid breakfast, 'nuff said.

Stopped to meet someone for lunch.Very reasonable prices and food freshHad the scrod baked sandwich with coke slaw and vegetables. Very good sandwich, cole slaw nice and fresh. Nice restaurant/diner for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

What can I say about Swanton Street Diner?!? Aside from having minimal parking options, I could say that the Contractor is a MUST have. Haven't had breakfast out like that in a very long time! Service was fast and the waitress deserved her tip. Very outdated and I had to eat at the bar with my kid and nephew because it was a long wait time. But well worth it! BREAKFAST IS A MUST!

I ordered the American Benedict and I'll certainly never make that mistake again. It was essentially hard boiled egg on an English muffin with a drizzle of watery hollandaise. Really bad. Potatoes were good, service was pretty rude, would not come back again.
