Swami's Café Carlsbad

This was a solid spot for brunch on a Sunday morning! Our party of 5 arrived around 10am and had no problem getting seated right away at one of their tables outside. They have a whole patio area, as well as some tables on the street, so lots of options!I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes which were very good. The portion size was perfect (2 medium sized pancakes) and they came out super fresh. Some other members of my party also got pancakes which they enjoyed, and someone got the breakfast burrito which looked delicious.

Visiting Carlsbad for the first time and had to see what place was recommended and it was this one. The service was great, the waitress was sweet. The location wasn't so far off from the beach about a 10-15 mins walk. The menu was overwhelming as it had so much items. I asked what was popular for lunch. The waitress said fish tacos and I thought it was the Baja fish tacos like fried coating but it was mahi fish tacos. Either way I was excited. The flavor lacked so much. I added salt and pepper. The beans tasted from a can and rice was cold. I was disappointed and it was not good at all. The kids quesadilla came on a wheat tortillas I wish it said that on the menu. As healthy as it is it doesn't taste as great. The fries were good. The açaí bowl was soo good. The kids meals were pricey. They priced it at $6 STARTING. Any sides were $3 more. So a pancake with no eggs was extra and the quesadillas with fries was extra. All in all the food was a hit and miss and I was not blown away but the hype. I left feeling not satisfied at the meal I ate and the money that was spent on it. Would not come back to this location personally, but again waitress was nice.

First time at this Swami's location and was impressed by the staff and the food. The staff was nice as they took us to our seats and order. The food was quick and good. This is probably one of the better Swami's we've been to. Will definitely be back and try something new on the menu.

First time at this Swami's location and I'm a fan. I like that they seat you and take your order. The staff here was super friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing, super fresh and fast. The omelettes were so flavorful and they were not shy with their portions. Thank you Swami's Cafe Carlsbad for a great first experience. I can't wait to come back and try something else on your menu.

Sidewalk cafe with a huge menu. My scramble was filled with smoked salmon. The rye toast was soft and delicious.

I'm a little confused on how this place has such great reviews. Our experience fell quite short of that. We arrived on a Thursday morning with the hankering for some good breakfast and coffee. We'll start with the coffee. We noticed that they had what looked like a decent sized espresso machine so we both ordered lattes. I was trying to explain to him that I like mine with a little bit of sweetness to it and he kept offering me syrup, but I said no I want sugar in it and he didn't quite understand it so I let that one go and thought that I would just add it. When we got our lattes, they basically look like drip coffee with some milk on top. I took two sips of mine and couldn't finish it. The cups were way too large for the espresso clearly he didn't know how to use the machine. We let that one go because we were just hungry and wanted to order breakfast. I was looking at the menu and noticed that none of the breakfast entrées come with bacon so when I inquired about it the server let me know that I can make it a meal for $4 extra. That would put me at about $18 for a plate of potatoes and bacon with some eggs. I went ahead and skip the bacon and just ordered the two egg breakfast with potatoes. as I waited, I noticed a smaller menu that said BREAKFAST SPECIALS and was that there was an entree on the menu for $14 that included bacon, ham, eggs, toast, coffee, and potatoes!! I brought this to the order takers attention and he said oh you want bacon that's fine. I'll just add bacon and I won't charge you extra. When I asked him why he didn't point this out to me earlier when I asked for a breakfast entrée with Bacon, he just kind of shrugged it off. This place is not what I was hoping for when I did get my food. It was very lackluster. There was way too many potatoes and they had very little seasoning on them. The "toast" was not toasted and I just was happy with my meal I left feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. I do not think I will come back to this place when I'm in the area again.

We came here for breakfast on a chilly winter day. There's ample outdoor seating and some tables inside. No problem getting a table at 8:00 on a Saturday. Another reviewer said it's across the street from the beach, which is not accurate. You won't see the ocean from here.Ambiance is diner or beach cafe. Definitely has the feel of a locals place.Service was good. I think our server said his name was Luis. He was very friendly and appropriately attentive.Huge menu with all of the options, something for everyone. The Bloody Mary was good--more vegetabley than tomatoey. I ordered the avocado toast and added two eggs. I was worried it wouldn't be enough food due to another review, but I couldn't finish it. I liked the microgreens and the avocados were PERFECTLY ripe--not too ripe, not not ripe enough. My only complaint was that the toast was cold. I would have liked it to be hot. The hubs got the Carlsbad omelette with the home fries. He loved his omelette.Their music game was strong too with the 80s music. Nothing like waking up with a little Flashdance.

Two of us and our first time at the Cbad Swami's. Sat in the patio on a sunny Sunday morning. Ordered Egg Muffin with Real Ham and a Garlic Chicken Omelette with Fruit and English Muffin. The Egg Muffin was "very good" with ample ham and two eggs. The Garlic Chicken Omelette could have used more garlic to add more flavor, the salsa on the side saved it. Great variety of ripe fruit and english muffin was toasted perfectly. Service was fast and friendly, provided by Luis. A repeatable breakfast event.

Great Service here highly reccomend food on point !!!!Not to say the mimosas !!!!Chilaquiles and mimosas for me
