This experience is so cool! Note that they only do walk ins and do not take reservations, so be prepared to wait a little bit as this place is popular! I love the conveyor belt where you can watch the dishes go by. The belt has sushi, small dishes/apps, and even dessert. Like there was dessert from the Cheesecake Factory?! Each plate is a color and each color is a price point. You can get a lot of sushi and food for a very decent price - just eat to your heart's desire. It's a great way to try different kinds of sushi, especially if you're newer to eating sushi. There's also more options in the menu on the iPad. You order on the iPad and then the little train takes your order straight to you on the belt - it's the cutest thing ever.I absolutely love the interior and ambiance. There's also a bar at the front where you can order a drink while you wait. They have a pretty good menu of wine, beer, sake, and cocktails. The cocktails are yummm - sweet but delicious. I always pull out the sushi that looks good to me and then end with desserts... mochi ice cream, crème brûlée, I mean you just cannot go wrong here! This is my favorite casual sushi spot!

My two experiences (online order) were pretty good (food wise). But still some areas that can be improved on. Jumbo Yaki Ebi: the shrimps size is pretty good and it is well-flavored. It is not overly salty and it has a hint of sweetness to it. However, the package for this dish needs to be improved, it once came spilled and leaked everywhere in the bag. Hama Kama: this is my favorite dish in the store. The flavor is amazing and it is not salty. The lemon juice adds a great kick of sourness to it. The cabbage on the bottom pairs greatly with the sauce. However, I have tried Hama Kama from Sushi Plus Chinatown location, and their Hama Kama size is way bigger than this location. I received a very small piece on my second order here(see attached comparison), kind of disappointed. Hope they can keep their ingredients consistent. Spicy Squid Salad: not the best squid salad I had in town. It is a bit oily and really well seasoned. The bottom is filled with cucumbers and lettuces. Saba Nigiri: the fish is fresh but nothing too outstanding for the piece. Not a must ordered dish. Maguro Poke Gunkan: love this piece, it is well flavored and made. It comes with a lot of Maguro on top. Highly recommended. Sake Poke Gunkan: another great and outstanding piece. Similar to the maguro one, it is flavorful and the salmon portion is huge as well. Must order and try this. Overall, my experience is limited to online ordering. I hope I will have the chance to visit in person to enjoy a full on adventure. As mentioned, i think there's still some places the store can improve on.

Super fun. No reservations. It was a Saturday night so we had to wait about 40 minutes. Many families with kids which is understandable. They were super quick about cleaning tables and seating people. The sushi is good, not great. However, the whole conveyor belt deal is super fun. The price is very fair. Order something special and it comes on the trucks on top with your table number.Service was very good and friendly.

I love this place! I am lucky enough to live a few blocks away, and decided to check it out a few weeks ago. I took my boyfriend there last night and he loved it too! The sushi is delicious, the staff are attentive and friendly, and the experience is super fun and unique. You can grab items off the conveyor belt, or order off the iPads provided and have dishes delivered to your table via a delivery truck that runs above the conveyor belt! This is definitely a restaurant I will take friends and family to, and I couldn't stop thinking about it since the first time I visited. The prices are also very reasonable, which is another great perk!

This was a really fun experience and a great place for sushi lovers. I came here with a friend tonight to try rotary sushi for the first time and was not disappointed. The way it works is you grab whatever plate catches your eye and each plate is a specific color that corresponds to a certain price. There are six different colors indicating six different prices and this key is located at your table for easy reference. It was nice to be able to try so many different types of sushi instead of what I typically do which is commit to one to two main dishes. My friend and I split 12 plates and it was more than enough to feel satisfied. We ended with the mango crêpe cake, which had a really great flavor. My only recommendation here is to let it thaw out a bit before eating. If you know what you want for dessert I would recommend just grabbing it and letting it chill at your table until you're ready to eat it . One thing to note is you can order from the main menu and the food will be brought to your table if you want something outside the dishes on the conveyor belt. The service was really friendly and swift, and the ambience was very lively and interactive which I loved. This would be a great place for a date night or a dinner out with friends. Again, if you're someone who loves sushi, this spot is a must.

Went here with a friend. Very solid rotary sushi bar. Lots of varieties selection. Sushi was delicious. Definitely better than some of the other rotating sushi bars I've been to. I've had better sushi, but the big attraction is the vibes here. it has a unique ambience and quality service here.

Okay so I've been here twice since my last review because this is starting to become a staple for me.My favs:The Tokyo sandwich (I think): so this is one of my fav things on the menu. It's mango, salmon and other stuff on a two slabs of rice. There's two sandwiches offered and I think this is the right one. The garlic yellow tail nigiri: 2 pieces of yellow tail seared and has garlic. THEY ARE SO GOOD.Creme brulee: what??? You must be joking. But I'm not. Their creme brulee is $6 and pretty solid portion. Honestly I'm such a creme brulee fiend that I may come back just for the creme brulee. This is not gonna be life changing but it surprisingly solid, and a reasonable price, and a decent size.Everything else I've had I loved. I just really like this place. I usually spend between $30-40 but leave fully full which is nice. I also think I may prefer it to all you can eat because there isn't a pressure to finish everything. You can just take it home.

My friend who lives in town raved about Sushi Plus Rotary Sushi Bar and walking in the concept is really cool. You pay by color of plates and you take as they go by you. If you do not see the item you want you can order off the iPad at the table and then gets delivered to you by train. The staff was plenty and stopped by for drinks /!: asking how the meal was and if they can get you anything else. So I would give them 5 star for service and the ambience I would give 5 stars. The sushi I would give 3 stars max. The sushi was average and you have no clue how many times the food went around the conveyor belt by the time you get it. My friend who has dined there before said the sushi was better in previous visit.

Feel like a kid again and play with your food.Prices are fantastic considering the recent inflation on everything. As a first timer, the staff and signs on the belt make it easy for you to jump right in. The sushi was solid and it was a quick meal due to the convenience of the rotary belt. It gets busy, so don't go too late in the evening. Not five stars for only two reasons:1. Sushi could have been checked on from time to time, as one of mine was too warm for me to enjoy. 2. The green tea crepe cake could have been a tad more on the sweeter side. Can't wait to go back to enjoy! KEEP THE PUNCH CARD THEY GIVE YOU AT THE END! Eat sushi, save on sushi!

Surprisingly a decent place to get sushi in Chicago. I was able to try a wide variety of options. They do have some vegetarian options. Unfortunately I did not get to take any pictures of the food. Tip: try to get a seat closest to the start of the track so you get the first option of the items that come out. Also get there early and make a reservation.
