I'm more of a 3.5 stars than a 4 but wanted to call out a few things. Overall, the food was good! I felt like the fish and appetizers were well prepared, and tasted fresh enough. However, they really struggle with the fish to rice ratio. There was so much rice on the nigiri, I tasted more rice than fish, which never is a good sign. They were really busy, and did their best to keep up despite being down some people. I appreciated their effort to get food out in a timely manner, however it took a while too. Overall, it wouldn't be my first choice to go back but it was alright for an AYCE spot.

Great addition to the AYCE space for the same price as Taku! This spot is kind of near Pequods and there is more parking available than other busy places. The building is big and roomy and was only half filled when we went on a weeknight. We had none of the issues described by other reviews for service: everything came out SUPER fast and they were really nice. Rolls were not the best I ever had but still tasty. Same with the plain nigiri cuts but this place stands out with its unique nigiri choices like torched items that were REALLY GOOD and sashimi plates. You do need to order one roll per sashimi plate. They also have some cool appetizers like buns and musubi. Drink choices are also really awesome and reasonably priced. Wish they had more flavors for Mochi but it tasted homemade.

Not sure why this place doesn't have a higher rating. I went for lunch and loved everything about this place. First off, the building is stunning. I loved eating in their open sunroom with plenty of natural light. They also have lovely cherry blossom decor (my fave flower). We were seated right away. The service was not an issue for us. Our servers were attentive, kind, and always checking in. Our food and drinks arrived quickly. I can see how service can be slower on busier days/nights but given that it's an AYCE sushi place, it's understandable. The food was delicious and their menu had way more options than any other AYCE place I've been to. The pieces were larger than some of the other places too. They were also able to accommodate my avocado allergy so I could enjoy some of their rolls which I appreciated. I left very full but very happy and with lunch being about $23/pp, I felt like I got my money's worth! I can't wait to go back!

Things went downhill pretty quickly, this is my 4th time and may be the last. Nigiris are PACKED with rice, and cut rolls barely had any fish. Oh boi bye

The AYCE sushi menu was great- maybe one of my favorite ones in Chicago. However, the service was quite slow. While we weren't in a rush to get through dinner, it took awhile for anyone to come by to get our second round of orders. And had to go up to the bar to ask for the check/pay because it took so long!

Came on a Friday lunch date with my boyfriend and got seated right away. We made it just in time for the AYCE lunch price which is a great deal! The aesthetics are beautifully decorated with all Japanese inspired decor. We love Thai iced tea and theirs did not disappoint. I ordered salmon, white tuna, crabmeat nigiri along with the Sunset sushi. We also ordered crab rangoons and shrimp shumai. The service did take a while as we were waiting for our appetizers, but overall the food meets expectations for an AYCE sushi spot. We will be back again!

I wanted to branch out from my usual ayce sushi spot and I think this place is worth checking out. I know it's fairly new to the Depaul area so I waited a little bit to try cause I read all the bad reviews about the service.Once you walk in, the vibe gives an intimate dining setting. The main complaint from this place is that the service is bad but that wasn't the case for me. Yes, it was a little slow but it wasn't the worst I've ever experienced.I like how they have different items on their appetizer menu that I haven't seen at other places (ex. Spam musubi, teriyaki ribeye, etc). I will say their sushi felt lighter to me compared to others. Overall I think their food is decent but not better than my usual spots.

All you can eat sushi place in Chicago! This restaurant had plenty to choose from and was reasonably priced as well. My only complaint is that the sushi rice didn't taste as fresh but it was still delicious nonetheless. The fish itself was fresh and all came out pretty quick. The restaurant itself was clean and brightly lit. They even had a fun robot bringing out sushi to tables.

Pretty good deal as far as prices go for sushi with great presentation and creative flavors. Drinks are pretty cheap and yummy. God awful service. If you have the patience it's worth it, they really need better staffing
