Sushi Paradise

The food does not taste fresh. We ordered 4 rolls, rice was dry and hard. I had the world roll. I had an allergic reaction and my face and neck turned bright red. That usually only happens with bad wasabi. The sushi is very expensive when you compare it to the quality of food. The wasabi and ginger are in jars on the sushi bar for everyone to share. Did not seem very sanitary. The sushi bar chef was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend sushi Konami. A little ways from Puyallup but definitely worth a try.

Miss the AYCE lunch menu. It's gotten pricey for sushi since the pandemic hit but so has everyone else. I enjoy coming to this family owned restaurant for lunch. Staff are always friendly. Sushi is made fresh and made to order. Rice is warm...I hate cold sushi rice.Jay is cool. I hope he continues running the place m.

My favorite place for sushi! The two roll special is what I always get which is plenty of sushi for dinner. The rolls are really big and made to order. The service is pretty quick and it's great sitting at the bar while they make your rolls. Plus they always put a bunch of sauce which is my favorite. I didn't love the raw rolls they have but I would 10/10 recommend the Mexican, double double, and river road.

Do note that they no longer have AYCE (all you can eat)! Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - Raw rolls of Sex on the Beach (spicy tuna, cucumber, topped with spicy crab and salmon) and Red Dragon (crab, shrimp tempura, topped with spicy tuna) were our two favorite rolls. The textures were good and the ingredients tasted well. The first definitely had a kick Cooked roll of Double Double (crab, shrimp tempura, avocado, topped with ebi) - the avocado only covered half of the roll and it has a ginger sauce drizzle on top. Deep fried roll of Tornado (spicy crab, spicy tuna, and shrimp tempura) - the texture was off since the rice was a bit mushy but the outside is fried well and the spiciness does come through Ambience: 4/5 - bar tables were a little sticky and it was oddly empty for dinner time. The ginger and wasabi were already available on the table but the wasabi still had a slight "kick" when eaten Service: 5/5 - the chef behind the table was super friendly and attentive. He was able to provide some recommendations. The cashier lady was friendly and chatting with a local who sounds like he's been coming here for 10+ years Value for price: 5/5 - good food, friendly service, very reasonable price for the 2 rolls for $18

I would say this Sushi is a step below the Sushi you can get at Fred Meyer and a step above the Sushi you can get at Safeway. The all you can eat lunch Menu was really basic and seemed a bit redundant with the selections. The taste and quality was very underwhelming. The rolls were rice heavy and the fish portion was super thin and barely noticeable. Sushi chefs were very friendly and attentive but the rolls were falling apart.

Keep driving. I went to a this place on Mother's Day weekend because I love sushi! A huge disappointment from the start. I was waiting for my fiancé and son to come in to eat. The waiter comes over to ask if he could get me some water. I nicely asked him for 3. He gave me a strange look. I told him I was waiting for others. I was trying to ask him if he could bring chopsticks for us and that one was for a child but he was walking away as I asked him. He seemed annoyed. Very rude! He brought over our water and that was it. Didn't check on us after. On to the sushi... the cold sushi was warm and the sushi that was supposed to be hot/warm was cold. Clearly it has been sitting there for some time. Not only was the sushi not great, there was some that had packaged tuna pieces. Never in my life have I had this. I couldn't even eat it! To top it off it gave me horrible stomach pains. This place is over priced for poor quality of food and poor customer service. Just keep driving!!!

This place is wonderful. Love the updating they've done recently and the quality of the fish is superb. The owners are personably and provide great service. We go here often for AYCE

Best sushi in Puyallup!! I don't do yelp reviews often but I enjoyed my dinner so much that I had to give a great review. We got the 911, Playboy, New York and Rainbow rolls and they were all phenomenal. Our favorite was the 911. We also got the 15 pc yellowtail, salmon and tuna sashimi & nigiri and it was fresh and very flavorful. It melted in our mouths. I haven't had sushi that good in quite awhile. Another thing I love about this place is the service. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The lady working was really sweet and gave my toddler a lollipop before we left and he was very happy. We will definitely be back!
