Had to check this spot out when we were in Seattle because hand rolls are our favorite! Presentation of everything was absolutely beautiful and the quality/serving of fish is definitely worth it. We were able to reserve this spot out for a big group and they even helped us with serving a birthday cake- the service was great and we really enjoyed this spot. We had the omakase and a selection of hand rolls, all really good and unique if you're looking for a place with a variety of hand rolls to choose from!

Small Japanese restaurant on Eastlake Ave. White colored interior. Doing good business for Sunday lunch, but we made a reservation online so didn't have to wait. Menu has some appetizers, their signature temaki sushi and a few other items. We didn't get any temaki, but did end up getting the chirashi bowl which seems to be one of their more well-known items. Also got the karaage for appetizer and the pork katsu curry which is a special. The karaage was pretty tasty. Nice fried exterior which juicy chicken inside, nicely seasoned. The pork katsu curry has a good portion. It's two pork katsu cutlets, and then rice covered by eggs, with some curry sauce on the plate, and taste was pretty decent. As for the chirashi bowl, it has a really nice presentation and good for photos, but it is pricey Quite a variety of raw seafood on there including various fish, and also scallop, uni (sea urchin) and one shrimp. Added together this was a very filling meal for two. Total was $80-something before tax and tip, so a little on the pricier side, but seems in line with getting seafood at Japanese restaurants around these parts.

Really enjoyed the handrolls, ambiance, and overall experience at this spot! My husband and I made reservations in advance for a Saturday night during dinner. Service was friendly and welcoming. We were seated in a little corner where we both got booth seating. Food: + hot tea + signature 5 hand roll set - tuna, salmon, shrimp tempura, hamachi, and scallop. My favorite was the hamachi and tuna. They tasted so fresh and were so flavorful! The salmon was good but lacked flavor and the scallop was a bit fishy for me so my husband ate that one. The shrimp was also very tasty and I liked the flavor combo! + chicken karaage appetizer - super tasty and generous portions! + matcha crepe cake - a nice way to finish off the meal! Overall, a great hand roll spot with fresh fish and tasty options! Would definitely be happy to come again for sushi date night!

Originally tried to get reservations elsewhere but the group was too big so I decided to book here just because it was on my list and I really wanted to try it. Handroll places are popping up in Seattle like boba shops. The restaurant it self is a lot smaller than other ones around town. The staff is nice enough, not anything beyond that, service was okay. They're busy tending to the place so they really only came by a few times. We ordered screaming poppers to start and sake. Screaming poppers never came haha. For handrolls, I decided to pick my own 5; salmon& ikura, scallop &truffle, snow crab mix avocado, toro w/ caviar, and uni. While I do like the plastic saving the nori from getting soggy, it is quite wasteful. All the rolls were okay to me, little on the smaller size. I was expecting some flavors but they were all very mild. I did really enjoy the toro and uni because I could taste the freshness but was not a fan of scallop and truffle at all. It was so oily from the truffle, it completely overpowered the scallops. Overall, great experience and time here. I'll probably come back to try other things.

We actually tried coming here on a whim a couple weeks ago without a reservation and ended up waiting 30 min before giving up. So learn from my mistakes and make a reservation!!We came here (attempt #2) again with a reservation and were seated immediately! The chirashi bowl was delicious. The fish was good quality with some less common items (scallop, uni, raw shrimp) that you don't always see in a chirashi bowl! We also ordered two sets of rolls. The rolls were all very tasty, I liked the scallop one (although I'm not a huge fan of the sweet and creamy sauce) and also the salmon one. I also like how the packaging ensures that the seaweed is crispy as you eat! I did feel that some of the rolls were a little too overpowering or salty. We ordered two signature sets and the chirashi bowl, which was a LOT of food. We were super hungry and ended up taking home leftovers. The hand rolls are deceivingly large! This restaurant is certainly on the higher end, so this is definitely a place i would come to every once in a while and not for any sushi craving.

3 food 4 serviceAfter seeing all the post from IG, it made us want to try this place. We ordered some rolls, vegetable tempura, and the chirashi bowl. Presentation was on point but food was just ok for me. The rolls didn't really stand out and had too much sauce and rice. Chirashi bowl was probably the best dish but we had better sushi elsewhere without making driving to Eastlake. Glad we tried it but probably won't be back as there are other options closer to eastside.

Wow! This place is so GOOD. I took a while to try it because I kept thinking it was wild expensive, but it's actually not. It isn't cheap, but it's sushi and the quality is very good- so I say the price makes sense and it won't completely break the bank- unless you go really hungry and then I can't make any promises.Their sushi is like sushi tacos- they're delicious. The ingredients are fresh and so beautifully presented, down to the directions on how to pop off the plastic and take a bite! The chirashi is spectacular, I've split it twice with friends and never been disappointed. The katsu is delicious! My favorite roll is the poke. You don't have to get their signature list to enjoy their sushi! Just try what sounds good!I love the lychee sake as a pretty little addition. I live too close for comfort to this place but I'm so glad I finally tried it! You should too.

The quality and quantity of fish to rice ratio was 50/50 which was much more then I expected. We also got multiple appetizers, nothing special but all pretty tasty. The inside is also cute but I wouldn't not bring a group larger than 5.

First time trying sushi rolls like this. Overall, food was good, nothing that stands out. Overpriced for an average Japanese restaurant. I tried the signature 5, my favorite was the spicy hamachi; creamy, flavorful, and had nice refreshing texture with the cucumber. The fried yam, mango, avocado was also great! Was pretty disappointed with their A5 wagyu, over cooked and chewy. The creamy curry beef udon is also not great, curry tastes similar to the golden curry you buy in a box.Service was basic, not friendly nor rude. The place was small and quiet, which was nice, don't expect them to seat more than 4 people. We didn't have to reserve or wait 2 at 7pm on a weekday.
