The sushi here is soooo good. Even better though is the service. I have a friend who is Gluten Free and Dairy Free. The server explained the menu thoroughly, then went above and beyond by bringing a salad with a GF & DF dressing that wasn't on the menu, and pointed out that there might be trace amounts of gluten in the wasabi. The bento box lunch specials were amazing. We had the bulgogi beef, chicken teriyaki, and sushi rolls. The sashimi was also on point! Love the new decor, and quiet setting here. Casual attire, but definitely a nice place for lunch or dinner!

Food was great, service was great. The atmosphere was great, just a slightly bit over priced on some of their meals, but I would definitely go back but maybe just for lunch because they have a great deal on the bento box.

I finally decided to check out the new Japanese restaurant in Oak Harbor. Sushi Moto.I spent a couple years in Japan. It was a small town on the outskirts of Tokyo called Atsugi. So, I have a little experience with authentic Japanese food.I ordered gyoza appetizer with Tonkatsu entrée. I have never been a fan of sake, so I decided to just have water with my meal. The gyoza was served just a couple minutes before the entrée, but I still managed to eat three of them. I found them to be crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Very tasty! I did eat all of them, eventually. The Tonkatsu was awesome. Thinly breaded pork cutlet that was crispy and delicious. There were two cutlets in the serving. I was delighted to see the cutlets were served on a little grate to keep the cutlets from getting soggy by sitting on the plate. So cool! The entrée was served with steamed rice and miso soup. I am not a fan of soups, usually. But I tried the miso so I could comment on it and found it to be delicious too!I totally enjoyed my meal at Sushi Moto, the service was friendly and efficient. I also thought the decor was very nice.

There were 6 of us, so not too large of a group. It took a while to get a drink and order, but the overall experience was fine. The kids ordered several cali rolls and enjoyed every one of them. We ordered the beef bulgogi that was quite spicy, but had good flavor. The chicken teriyaki was a tad dry, but one of the kids enjoyed it, so I didn't mind. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and the oak harbor roll. Both were as expected. The salmon lover roll was interesting because the sauce was a sweetened lemon one, which I wasn't too fond of, but the person ordering it loved it. Overall, a good experience at a sushi restaurant.

We t to this location because of a locals recommendation. We tried Japanese beer and nagori. The "monkey brain" fried stuffed avocado was incredible! Tried the yellow tail sashimi , California roll, Philly roll, edamame, and some other specialty rolls. Incredible. Had to be the best of the best in this area. Solid 5 stars on food and service. Ambiance is 4 to 5 and I rounded up on that aspect. Ended with som strawberry mochi. Amazing!Easy access, decent amount of parking.Try it you'll like it!!!

This place replaced harbor sushi last year and at first it was a huge improvement. But sadly, that did not last. They are removing prime ingredients from premium rolls without changing the price (avocado is no longer in the deception pass roll), substituting imitation crab meat in premium rolls, and no longer give wasabi and ginger standard, you need to ask for it. Considering their premium rolls are $15 each or more, this is unacceptable. At this point they're no better than the sushi at Safeway while charging 3x as much. We were frequent guests there but won't be back again.

Forth time eating here and this time I was a bit disappointed. I know they can do better because they did the other three times. Ordered the bulgogi bento box which consisted of the bulgogi, white rice, salad, seaweed salad, gyoza, vegetable tempura, California roll, and Mizo soup. The bulgogi lacked the charred caramel flavor of true Korean bulgogi, tasted more stir fried. California rolls lacked the all important wasabi, no dipping sauce for the tempura or the gyoza (separate sauces) and the gyoza was deep fried along with the tempura. First time in all my years of eating Asian food have I had deep fried gyoza. The tempura shrimp and the seaweed salad are fresh from the nearest Costco. That's alright for the seaweed salad as you can't get that just anywhere but I expect a bit more originality for the shrimp. But the lettuce salad, rice and Mizo soup were good as was the service. I really hate it when an ethnic food restaurant tries to pass off less than correctly prepared dishes like we are country bumpkins who don't know the difference. Some of us have made it beyond our city limits and actually ate the real thing.

It was nice the food was good. The meal presentation is beautiful as well. I dont have really much to complain about, except I do think it is just a bit too overpriced. and I do wish they would use more real crab instead of imitation crab. The service was nice. I like it when I don't have to wave down a waiter or waitress because they don't come back and check on us a few times during the whole meal, so I appreciate the service. I would I go again? My answer is yes, I would.
