Sushi Mori

My friend and I haven't been here in a while. We came for lunch, sat outside on the patio. Candice was our server, very nice and attentive. Service was excellent.We ordered a couple beers and Sake. I ordered the Sushi Roll Lunch special. My friend ordered the Jalapeño Yellow Tail, Eel Roll and Uni Sushi. All was good. Love this place for lunch or snack.Atmosphere: nice, indoor outdoor seating. Service: excellent. Food: good.

The Sushi here is so fresh & tasty! Great, friendly service too. It's always better eating here than take- out

I never knew this place exists right by the beaches of La Jolla Shores. Had a lovely lunch here and everything was delicious! Fish was exceptionally fresh and melts in your mouth. I loved the unagi bowl and the seared tuna salad. The baked roll was delicious as well. Decor is modern and staff was attentive. Great place for date night or a quick bite when enjoying the day at the shores.

I will definitely be coming back here again, the food was fantastic! Especially their Mori Sashimi Box, so fresh and so delicious. The service was good enough to come back and the view from the patio was so pretty.

Excellent place for a post-snorkeling/kayaking dinner. Fresh seafood, great & quick service, and chill atmospheresDefinitely was our favorite meal while in SD.

BENTO BOX AND TOURISTS(4 stars)- FOOD: good- SERVICE: good- PRICE: fair- AMBIANCE: chillSummer days at La Jolla Shores usually means no parking and bazillion tourists. I tend not to under estimate restaurants at the Shores because I've never had a bad experience anywhere I've ate. This appears to be the only "Asian" restaurant in the area.TERIYAKI CHICKEN BENTO BOX ($19) - served with miso soup, salad, tempura, and rice. The miso soup first arrived and it was mediocre. Taste was there but it was soup without the good stuff and missinf tofu, green onions, and seaweed. But when the bento was delivered to the table it made up for the meh feeling about the miso. The bento box was huge and portions were generous - I had some left overs I took home. The rice was cooked well, the tempura was crunchy and yummy, the salad was the typical salad with Asian sweet-tangy dressing, and the teriyaki chicken was plentiful with a light coat of teriyaki on top. Not my favorite teriyaki sauce but it was still good. My cuts of chicken were tender - however I do wish they were browned a little more because I do like grilled charred edges and makes on my chicken teriyaki. Overall, this was a good bento box. HIGHLY RECOMMENDWould come back to try other things on the menu.Until the next review...

Came here with a friend on a Tuesday afternoon for their lunch specials. It was a nice day out so we decided to sit outdoors on their spacious patio. I believe we were the first customers of the day and our server was very attentive and noticed our table wasn't cleaned from last night so she cleaned it right away. She also asked whether we wanted lemon in our waters which was nice. We had the agedashi tofu for an appetizer. I got the tuna and salmon poke bowl which also comes with miso soup. I liked how you can choose both ponzu sauce and spicy mayo to be put on the side. The poke bowl was very filling I could barely finish it. Would definitely come again next time!

Lovely outdoor atmosphere with friendly staff.Sushi Mori serves relatively large portions, considering the price and the La Jolla location. Poke salmon bowl was fresh. Chicken katsu entree, which came with tempura, was fried perfectly and accompanied with a large salad, rice, and miso soup.The only downside of Sushi Mori is the lack of parking. Finding parking nearby is almost impossible.

Great taste and amazing service, awesome atmosphere. I had "the joker", spicy scallops and the tuna toro with hot sake. All exceptionally delicious. Waiting time was little long but it worth it. Highly recommended.

Table of 8 for dinner. I'd comment on the sushi/hand roll I ordered... but it never arrived. The waiter (maybe the manager) only checked up on us 25 min after and my table told him that I was still waiting on my order. Thought maybe it would come out shortly after, but they never made it. Wasn't in the mood to eat especially since all 7 other people were already finishing the final bites of their meal. I'm sure the ambience was nice. But my experience at Sushi Mora was a very poor one at that. Would not recommend.
