We stopped in after getting our Thai Massage across the street. At first wasn't too sure being it was only rated 3.9 stars but our experience was wonderful and definitely 5 stars worthy. We were a party of 3 and were quickly seated. We ordered green tea both gyozas, chronic roll, caterpillar roll, udon, calamari and edamame. Everything was tasty and the food was quick to come out. What was even quicker is the ninja bus service dude who quickly removed any empty plates off our table. Our server was friendly and quick. The restaurant is no frills and clean. There's indoor and outdoor seating. And a happy hour food menu that we missed by a hour. If in the area, we'd definitely return.

4 stars for value and taste of food! Great local spot in PL. They have a beautiful patio and outside bar, plus indoor tables for seating. Food specials everyday, including weekends!! What is not to love?! Sushi, specials, weekend?! Service was mediocre. But everything else makes up for it. Also!! There is a delicious ice cream place next door. Nice treat after sushi. Yummm.

One of my favorite sushi spots in Point Loma. We came for the Grand Opening, and have been coming ever since; can't believe I haven't reivewed it yet, but never too late. Always good quality sushi, and interesting, unique rolls. So many good ones. The "Happy Wife" w/ spicy yellowtail, cucumber, and tempura sweet potato, topped w/ sliced salmon, albacore, avocado, cilantro and jalapeno w/ a truffle sauce is amazing. The "Chuck Norris w/ shrimp tempura, crab, cuke and topped w/ tuna, avocado, serrano chili, eel sauce and sesame chili oil is also really good; The Red Dragon, Tasmanian Devil, Ring of Fire, the Special of the Month, can't go wrong. They also have a great Happy Hour, Tue.- Sun. 3:30-5:30 pm. Between the four of us, got the Albacore Special roll ($11, reg $15) which was delicious, tempura shrimp, crab, cucumber, toped w/ albacore, avocado and green onion; my younger daughter loved the crunchy roll w/ shrimp tempura, avo, cuke and eel sauce; got a spicy tuna roll loaded w/ tuna ($7, reg $9), salmon roll ($7, was $11), a spicy tuna hand roll (just $5, reg $6, so tasty), and surprise hit - Jaimapeno - large jalapenos stuffed w/ spicy albacore, crab, avocado, and lightly tempura fried - not too heavy, and so tasty! ($9, reg $13)For non-sushi eaters (hard to believe, but they exist), there are noodles, small plates, and my mom got the Teriyaki Salmon Bento box - nice piece of salmon, rice, house salad, 4 pieces of veggie tempura, miso soup (really good) and 4 pieces of CA roll ($23); can't beat that! They also have some happy hour drink specials, including $1 off wine and beer and $5 sake. Will definitely be back!

Overall this place is great and my family and I always return. Today was probably the busiest day I've ever seen it so the wait to receive our food was very long. The ambiance was very nice, no complaints. The food is delicious and very fresh tasting. The staff is very friendly and constantly checked in. Will be back!

I recently dined at Sushi Lounge, and overall, it was a "decent" experience. The sushi was fresh, and the presentation was impressive, but some aspects left me wanting more. The ambiance is lacking, with waitstaff standing around and staring and still wearing COVID Masks (not what you want to see for people preparing food). However, the noise level was a bit high, making conversation difficult at times. The staff were not friendly, and service was so slow during evening hours (not busy). In summary, Sushi Lounge is a solid choice for a casual sushi night, but there's room for improvement in both service and some dishes. I wouldn't visit again, it's not my top pick for sushi in this area.

Have been coming here with family for the past 3-4 years, especially during happy hour. Went back recently and the quality of the rolls has gone down a bit. The size of the rolls have gotten bigger with the increase of rice they put causing a disproportion of rice to fish ratio. The quality of rice was subpar as it falls apart from the roll. The albacore and chronic roll were probably the only ones that kept it together after dipping it into soy sauce. Despite this, I will say Sushi Lounge is a great neighborhood place within walking distance to get cold sake or a draft beer after work and sit outside or enjoy a game at the bar. Gets super busy around 6-7

Got off a work trip late and wanted to find something that was in the area of my hotel. It was easy to find right off the corner. Upon arriving not very many people but nice crowd. Menus were very sticky... please clean your menus. Good variety of rolls to choose from. I like how you can scan the menu and see actual pictures of what you want to order. It does take a while for you to get food but this my favorite can't The spider hand roll was pretty tasty. It had a a lot of avocado but still good. The house salad could've used more of the ginger dressing. That miso soup was the star of the show. So good and flavor. So hot and everything. I would come back just for this. The rolls were great. They had a good variety to choose from. No shade they were slow. We didn't a refill until we were about it to leave. But over good experience here I will back.

Sushi Lounge fell a bit short for our group. Everything we ordered was just OK. Nothing really stood out and everything seemed to be swimming in sauce. (Including the sushi rolls...) The waitstaff was a bit on the aloof side and it took quite a while for our food to come to the table. It wasn't necessarily a bad experience, but I wouldn't hurry back anytime soon.
