Sushi Kuchi

I live very close by and my neighbors recommended going because of the quality of the food. I could not agree more. The staff are very attentive and nice. The place was VERY clean. The food was awesome. I also highly recommend going to Sushi Kuchi.Thank you kindly.

mediocre sushi, non-traditional. The nigiri seems like pre-cut slices and not special or good. I'm sure it's safe, just not high quality Japanese style sushi, and more like "fast" sushi, but not if you're comparing it to the best sushi places like Sushi Ota, Sasabune, Sugar Fish, and the like. Rolls are covered with sauces to add flavor to bland fish. The cooked food is okay. Service is nice mostly, to go orders seem less quality than in restaurant.

Takeout experience:- Easy to order on the phone - Large order was complete - Prices were reasonable- Easy parking - Good foodWe were visiting from out of town but would definitely go back.

This review is more of a DoorDash bash than a review of our closest and best sushi restaurant. Our normal order.... Sashimi 3 ways and crunchy roll. Simple and delicious. We live less than 1/2 mile but after a cocktail, sometimes you think Door Dash might be better. Total. At restaurant $43.00Door Dash $57.00Wrong. All wrong. Now we will enjoy our favorite sushi. Came back here again (Carlsbad location) and darn, was I wrong to give 4 stars the first time off of memory! This place is so super delicious at a price range that is totally worth it and has the best sushi ever. The flavor is super ultra amazing, and everything comes in a timely manner from the servers. Seating is decent, everything inside is clean, and the staff is super friendly! We got 4 rolls and HAD to order another two, indeed amazing. We got the Dragon, Tiger, Las Vegas, Star Wars, White Boy, and Crunchy Shrimp rolls. Overall, best sushi I've had globally, an absolute must try

We came here craving good sushi. We sat outside and ordered our food. Now, usually at a restaurant, starters come first. But here... we received our sushi within 2 minutes of sitting down. I'm not saying this was a bad thing, we were hungry, but it seemed like the sushi wasn't fresh. Then, after maybe 15 minutes, we finally received our edamame and miso soup. What?? The avacado roll was HUGE and pretty hard to eat. That being said, the food ok and the servers were very kind. The place is pretty nice, especially outdoors. Overall, the food was mediocre, we liked the servers, and ambiance, but service was slow and not in order.

Service is great and fast even when super busy. Sushi is of quality for the area. Inviting atmosphere with alot of seating. Always a pleasure to be here :)

Overall 5/5: Stopped in for some takeout while we were visiting my cousin in Encinitas. Enjoyed it very much, will definitely have to go back when we see her again. Food 5/5: We enjoyed a bunch of different rolls. All tasted fresh and quality. We had the california roll, rainbow roll, sweet hawaiian roll, spicy tuna, crunch shrimp roll, dynamite roll, and some tuna, hamachi, and salmon nigiri. The hamachi was stellar, definite star of the night. I also enjoyed the crunch shrimp roll out of the rolls. Service 5/5: Friendly, and patient. We placed a fairly large order and the gentlemen who took our order over the phone was very nice. He was very knowledgeable about the menu if we had questions and took it accurately and fast. When we went in everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Vibe 5/5: Very clean inside, we picked up in the back of the restaurant so we got to see a good bit of it. It was cute inside and seemed like a nice family restaurant or great for a casual date night. Thank you, Sushi Kuchi!

Great place to get sushi if you are in north county. The prices are great! They have a 50% off menu to choose from and the rolls are always wonderfully prepared. My favorites are crunchy roll, soft shell crab, spicy scallop, and the classic California roll. As for appetizers, I recommend seaweed salad or the egg rolls. They have a great tofu soup as well! My family and I have been coming here for years. The staff is so friendly and the sushi comes fairly quickly. They have a wide variety of deep fried rolls-- I recommend the Star Wars roll. It can get pretty busy here on the weekend so I would call to make a reservation in advance if you know you will be in a time crunch! Parking is great and they also have cozy outdoor seating. They do takeout as well and everything is packed very nicely.

I always order to go from here it is too boring sitting at a table waiting for overpriced food .. sometimes when I make a special order they price gouge too much but will charge less when the quality is low.. even with their 50% dining / 40% to go off menu, prices are excessive. The quality is not bad.. I like yellowtail but their yellowtail hand roll is gooey, disgusting, and the cut rolls are dry.. Sushi Kushi is nearby, I consider it well overrated for the post pandemic price gouging menu, but convenient .. at the time of this review the California roll is $20 but its then 50% off then $20 tip dine in -- its overrated for imitation crab .. If you're willing to pay a 40% premium for this quality of Sushi this is your place
