This is the best so far I've been to in San Diego. I know I need to expound on that but the fact it is, you just need to come here to savor, understand and experience the party that happened in my mouth when we ate here. We had hamachi Kama, fish attach stack, ex girlfriend, bomb bomb, jalapeño bomb, dynamite, spicy crunch shrimp, Sapporo and an Asahi for me. All of these are top notch. Very nice people/staff. The sushi chef here mean business in their preparation of the "dishes". We sat at the sushi bar coz we don't have reservations and I personally think, they enjoyed seeing how our faces lit up every time we tried what was prepared before us. I would sit at the bar anytime. Just excellent! Oh parking can be a nightmare though So I choose to come as soon as they open.

I've found my new casual sushi spot! Our party of 2 arrived on a quiet Monday evening and ordered 4 rolls to share along with their chu toro sashimi nigiri (special). The first roll (Vegas roll) came out, and we consumed it slowly while waiting for the rest of the food. But the rest of the rolls and sashimi took quite some time, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Vegas Roll (4/5): we wanted one of the rolls to be either a deep fried or a baked roll so that we could try a variety of different rolls and so it wouldn't be overwhelming with solely raw fish rolls. I love salmon and cream cheese, so to me, it was good. Thousand Island (5/5): light and refreshing. The fish was fresh and the cucumber wrap was a great substitute to rice and seaweed, otherwise our overall meal would be carb overload. Orange Crush (5/5): scallops and salmon are some of my favs, so I knew I had to order this roll, and it did not disappoint.Seared Tuna Roll (4/5): I'm not the biggest fan of seared tuna; but this roll was actually pretty good.Chu Toro Sashimi (5/5): this was on their special board and was priced at $28 for 5 pieces. It melts in your mouth. DROOLSOverall I give the place 4.5 stars, very close to a 5. The food was slow in the beginning. And I'm not big on decor and I'm a simple gal, but the interior looks really low budget. However, I can't wait to return. P.S. the kizami wasabi is a must.

I've been looking for a new sushi spot and heard about this place from a Reddit thread about affordable and great quality sushi. The restaurant website recommended making a reservation, so I called before I decided to go and got a reservation very quick for 2 people. This was already a great sign for me as usually there are sign up lists, so it helps to know and have a spot waiting before showing up. The parking lot is relatively small, so be sure to come early. There is limited street parking as well. It was a busy Saturday early in the evening and the noise level was somewhat loud, but my wife and I were seated right away because of our reservation. We had just finished reviewing the menu and our waitress, Angie, came by (perfect timing) to ask for drinks. She was very friendly and very quick and you didn't have to ask to have your water refilled because she was so attentive. She has only been there for a few months, but I thought she was an owner or something because of how good she was!My favorite thing we ordered was the nigiri. Sake (Salmon) Nigiri and Sake Belly Nigiri had a very generous fish to rice ratio and was so melty. The Bomb Bomb roll was my wife's favorite and my close 2nd because it comes with soft shell crab. It was so smooth and crunchy at the same time. The Orange Crush roll was a sleeper because it comes with super thin lemon slices you can eat with each piece of sushi. I feel like you can't go wrong with anything from Sushi Fish Attack. This place has taken the throne of my favorite sushi spot in San Diego.

My friend and I tried this place randomly! It's a little hole in the wall restaurant in Clairemont. There is limited parking in the lot, but street parking is available. The restaurant itself is small and gets pretty crowded. I recommend calling to make a reservation when they open. All the servers are all so welcoming and sweet! Definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area.Miso soup: (5/5) Very good flavor and has some tofu in it. Garlic edamame (without chili): (5/5) This has a sweeter flavor without the chili. They were cooked very well. They are very good!Super salmon roll: (5/5) Nice and refreshing roll. The salmon was super fresh. It was interesting as there was cucumber and avocado in the roll too!Sun kiss roll: (5/5) Omg. The first bite I took I blacked out, I was in heaven. This combination of fish mixed with the sauce was perfect. I honestly could've eaten 2 of these rolls alone. Salmon nigiri: (5/5) If I could give more than 5 stars for the nigiri I would!!! The portions of fish are generous and taste so fresh! We ended up ordering 3 of these. Seriously so good!

My husband and I went here based on a rec from Reddit. We made a reservation over the phone only an hour out based on a tip in the reviews bc it gets busy and it's a small restaurant. It was very easy to do. Parking is limited and small but we were able to get one in the front of the restaurant. It gives off hole in the wall type of vibe and I would've have never noticed it from the street. Next to a LensCrafters and hair salon. We ordered salmon & salmon belly nigiri, Orange Crush roll, and Bomb Bomb roll. Everything was so fresh and filling. Now I understand why this place is like a hidden gem. My faves were the Salmon Belly nigiri bc it had the right amount of rice and the Bomb Bomb roll which had soft shell crab on top, which I've never seen before, paired well with the avocado on it. It was super delicious! Our server Angie was so quick and attentive. She was taking care of all the tables around us so fast, picking up dirty plates and refilling waters. Service was the best! Looking forward to coming back.

I cannot believe I havent reviewed this place yet. Its been our favorite local sushi restaurant in Clairemont for a while now and we are definitely regulars! We always make a reservation (typically calling same day after then open at 4:30) and its usually a good idea. They fill up quick all throughout the week, but you can usually sit at the sushi bar if its last minute. There are two rolls that we ALWAYS get and I highly recommend: Orange Crush and Seared Tuna. Every time we get those, and then a 3rd of something new to try and nothing has stood out enough to continue along with those two. I would say that Orange Crush is one of their most popular items. Its all about this thin slice of lemon on top - totally makes it! I dont usually get salmon-based sushi but this one is just phenomenal. The accent of lemon just makes it so refreshing. And then the Search Tuna is a lovely compliment to it being really savory and delicious. They are both so good! It's been a while but I also highly recommend the Fish Attack Stack. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. I love that they always wave you goodbye and say "See you tomorrow!" It's charming and always gives me a laugh. Love this place!

This is by far one of the best places for sushi in San Diego. Everything is always fresh and delicious. The owners and staff are super friendly. Highly recommend the Kanpai, the Sunkiss, the Protein and the Fish Attack Special Roll but you really can't go wrong with any of them. My go to sushi place. Reservations recommended as it's a smaller, intimate restaurant.
