The sushi is never the best here, but it is not bad. I personally come for the chicken yaki noodles. They are spicy and the vegetables are so good. The servers are usually great, but it seems like management is iffy. I have seen a couple be treated unfairly while enjoying my meal. The edamame is good and so are the veggie egg rolls. It is clean and welcoming. There are some good options, but I would not say I come here for sushi.

Decent roll (grizzly). Tempura appetizer came out after the roll and was mostly yam fries. They were barely warm, the one broccoli, three small zucchini sticks and one onion ring were hot. When asked how was my food, I decided to tell the truth. I was more than polite. The waiter/bartender instantly became defensive. Hence forth, the silent treatment. So, let's be really honest. If you are a sever and you ask how a guest's meal is, be ready to take what you get. Anyway, this place is amateur hour guided as a sushi restaurant.Doesn't totally suck, just not impressive in ANY WAY. The immature waiter was the most negative part of the experience.

Would you consider the ocean a soup? Hear me out! It has water (the base), salt (flavor), veggies, and fish (protein). Now that we got that nonsense out of the way, get your syllabus ready for Sushi 101 Bar and Grill update. I first came to Sushi 101 as a wide-eyed freshmen at ASU and have been back plenty of times since. This is pretty much a staple place for all ASU students to go but now Sushi 101 has relocated from being right next to the ASU campus to a mile or so away. Did the relocation hinder their business? I'll let you decide.Get the ASU Roll, The Monsoon Roll, and even a Philly Roll if you love salmon with cream cheese. Get whatever you want but just get yourself down here. If you're a Sun Devil, you have to pay homage to this spot. Will it be the best sushi of your life? No. But you have to come here. Period.

We went to the new Sushi 101 location after it moved (used to be over by Tempe Improv and still very close) and we had an amazing experience. The service was quick and we walked in and was able to be seated right away. They have happy hour every day from 3-7 with great options on the HH menu - lots of $3, $4, $5 appetizers. The sushi was tremendous! We got the Gyoza that were crispy and delicious. We also got the Monsoon Roll and the Golden State Roll that were both so tasty. Our server was nice and attentive. The restaurant wasn't too packed when we went and music wasn't super loud. Overall really excited to come back to this restaurant!!

Great relocation - came on a Saturday night - attentive service. Patio is great and even though adjacent to University Ave, it feels secluded. Ordered a ton of food, favorite was the Godzilla roll.

I've been coming to this place for over 15 years and they have yet to disappoint me. The food and service is always awesome! We stopped in for happy hour and to partake in sake bombers. The kirin was cold and refreshing. We order pretty much every sushi on the menu and it was perfectly executed. Each roll was full of flavor. One thing I didn't like is the same meat choice being in almost every roll. I like variety when eating sushi. Of course we'll be back because their food and service is just that good!

We've been having date nights at Sushi 101 for years, but the new location, atmosphere and additional menu items really have kicked it up a notch in our book! The food was delicious, and with the reverse happy hour we left VERY SATISFIED- Easton and Brooke were wonderful behind the bar and made sure our spontaneous visit was a memorable one! Thanks guys!!

They just moved locations and they got all new booths and barstools! Same great sushi rolls and entrees though! Their happy hour is perfect for those college kids down the road and the patio is lovely. The monsoon roll is great if you like a little spice

This is a beautiful, new, spacious location with a gorgeous bar area and huge patio. This is the place for happy hour and it was busy tonight! Not only does this place have a full bar, but they have happy hour specials, drink specials, and an entire menu of ramens and bowls in addition to their extensive sushi menu. AND, for someone who is all about eating mostly vegan, they have at least 10 types of vegan sushi rolls, ramens, bowls, and a ton more for your vegan friends. And they were good! I didn't miss the fish at all. It's rare to see more than just tempura or avocado rolls and it was a pleasant surprise.Totally recommend checking this place out. Lots of parking and right off University.

Stopped in after going to the Improv for a show on a Friday night. We were seated right away and the place was not that busy. I was excited to see how many vegan options are on the menu, especially for the sushi. Usually it is an avocado or cucumber roll, but there were plenty of different options to try.We ordered the vegan gyoza to start. I have not been able to have gyoza in forever since it's always pork or chicken. These were light and tasted like the real deal and were flavorful.Hubby ordered the grizzly bear and the cucumber, eel, krab roll. Hubby's words: the grizzly bear is nuts. The salmon tastes fresh, the panko breading on the shrimp was crisp and enhanced flavor of the roll. The krab roll tasted kind of like a California roll with some eel added and it was falling apart but the content of the roll was still good, fresh and flavorful. I ordered the Lotus and the Fat Veggie roll. The fat veggie lives up to its name. It's fat and takes a while to chew lol. But I loved having protein in the roll with the baked tofu, and it was packed with veggies. The sweet potato was soft (most places I get it is more on the raw side), the bell pepper had a snap to it, and the flavors all complimented each other. The lotus roll is unique. I would never think to put mango with asparagus, avocado and cucumber, but it was delicious! By far my favorite vegetarian roll I've had!!Server Payton was fantastic and friendly, and the service was quick. We will definitely come back when we're in the neighborhood again!
