I can say without a doubt and without needing to give it another thought that this is one of the best meals I have ever had! I don't even remember how I found this place, but I am so glad I did.My husband and I did date night here while we were in Chicago for a couple weeks. Reservations were easy to make (and highly recommended). From the outside, it looks like such a little unassuming place. When we entered, we were greeted immediately by the hostess who was super sweet and seated us immediately. The decor inside was gorgeous - we loved the colors and the pink light accents on the ceiling. We were seated in the corner of the booth which was super comfy and was a cozy little spot. Louis (unsure if I spelled that correctly), was our waiter and took excellent care of us. My husband got their special Old Fashioned and I got the Watermelon Salad. My husband enjoyed his drink a lot and I was super pleasantly surprised by my drink - I was curious about the cumin tequila, but I'm happy to say it is much tastier than it sounds! The cumin was definitely noticeable but in a good way. I loved my drink, very unique, and something I would get again. For our dinner, we split the palak paneer pizza, the Manchurian potatoes, and two pieces of the eggplant bao. We also got an individual side of the chile crisp from the spicy bowls. OH. MY. GOD. It was all amazing! The potatoes were SO CRISPY. We asked how they made them this crispy and it's apparently a three-day process! In addition to the texture, the flavor was similarly perfect. It went so well with the chile crisp as well! The pizza was delicious! There's no actual paneer in the pizza, but there is plenty of spinach and crispy shallots. I was a little skeptical about the pizza, but rest assured: we swiftly finished the entire pizza. The showstopper in my opinion, though, was the eggplant bao. As a vegetarian, I rarely ever get to have baos, so I jumped on this opportunity. It was divine! The eggplant was cooked great, the flavor was great, and the addition of cauliflower was top notch. The bao was soft and fluffy. I need more of this in my life.My husband ended the meal with a hot chai - he had wanted it with whole milk, but they had run out, so he got the oat milk instead. It was also great! It came with two Parle-G biscuits, which is SO OG! Dipping the biscuit in the chai brought me straight back to India and my parents' home.I will be talking about this meal to whoever will listen for months to come! They have a very well deserved Michelin Bib Gourmand award.

Indian food with a contemporary twist, great service and a fun vibe is what you get at Superkhana. You're greeted with loud lights, colors and pop music as you walk into the relaxed dining room. The service staff is warm, lively and offers decent recommendations. The chana chaat was great, a beautiful melange of flavors and textures. The achari pork pao, a korean bao version of a kheema pav, worked amazingly. The butter chicken calzone, again exactly as described works very well.Had the bread been a little softer, this would've made a perfect naan-butter chicken bite. Missed opportunity. The vindaloo, a greater missed opportunity. The pork bely was perfectly cooked but just missed flavor punch one would expect with a vindaloo. We ended with a great cup of chai and what could've been a fantastic chai themed tres leches. The cake wasn't as soaked in the chai flavor as I'd have liked and tasted more of the chocolate. It tasted generically good but the another missed opportunity in creating something unique.I enjoyed the whole experience and I might even go back if I didn't have to plan in advance. Although, this is one of those places that make you feel like they're a few changes from being your favorite place to eat

There is nothing not to like about SuperKhana International. Even the name is dope. But seriously, the food is a wonderful take on modern Indian food, the drinks are incredibly tasty and flavorful, the staff is always warm and welcoming, and the vibe is hip and fun. If Lula Cafe wasn't in the neighbourhood I'd say this is the best restaurant in Logan Square.Don't miss out on the butter chicken calzone if you go. One of the best dishes in Chicago.

Went recently (March) for brunch with a former co-worker, arrived a bit early, so grabbed a water + cocktail at the bar, and bartender service was outstanding from the jump in terms of recommendations and attentiveness. Vibe was cool/lowkey, lots of families, and a bit of a Bohemian feelImmediately seated at a two top once my friend arrived and service/recommendations continued to impress, as we were on the fence about what to order. Will definitely be back soon and recommend to anybody who enjoys Indian cuisine and laidback vibes!Sips1. Superkhana old fashioned: I won't pretend to know what ghee washed whiskey blend means, but it def delivered and the chai bitters were a nice balance2. Cumin bloody mary: interesting take on a bloody (cumin spiced tequila instead of the usual vodka base), notes of masala as well, excellent drinkBites1. Poha: really enjoyed the spice from the jalapeno and balance with yogurt sauce, a light dish that doesn't dazzle, but won't leave you feeling gluttonous after brunch either2. Uttapan: savory pancake type pastry with peas/thai chili/coconut chutney, indulgent but def worth trying!3. Bfast Doha hash: the highlight for me, chile crisp was very light/almost fluffy, and paired perfectly with the curry/cabbage based hash and sunny side up eggs. Must try

Great neighborhood Indian brunch spot. Chill vibe with vibrant decor. I couldn't stop raving about the breakfast potatoes and Lynchee mimosa (5 stars!). Be sure to get a side of the chili crisp oil, there is an up charge but you'll thank me.Our server was not wrong, we couldn't leave without having dessert and it was a perfect cherry on top for our entire meal!

This is a definitely an Indian fusion menu when you have the likes of a butter chicken calzone and Ghee washed bourbon old fashion made with chai tea bitters on the menu. Everything we ordered tasted real good with the Eggplant bao a real surprise. I knocked off 1 star since their prices are high for the portion size and for not being downtown (W Loop/River North).

Ok this place is really cute and fun for an Indian, modern brunch fusion vibe with really good service! The carrot halwa French toast is really unique. I've had the Bombay sandwich twice now, it comes with a lot of cheese so just be prepared for that! Also got the poha with an egg - This was good but nothing compares to my mom's poha so it was hard to love this. The iced chai was good, just a little watered down for my preference.Overall, I'd check this place out esp if you want to try something fun and different!

Great ambiance and decor. However, we went for dinner and were disappointed by the food. We got the hits - paneer pizza which was a good pizza but lacked much distinct flavor. Think of it as a spicy cheese pizza with fried onions(?) on top. The butter chicken calzone would have been great but was under filled. It was mostly bread with about 5 small morsels of chicken inside, which definitely did not justify the price. We wanted to love this spot, but it unfortunately fell short.

We got the Maggi Noodle Bolognese, Manchurian potatoes, and butter chicken calzone, which were all really good! The favorite was probably the potatoes - they were so crispy! The pasta does have lamb though, so if you don't like it, I would stay away because I thought the lamb taste was still pretty strong. The service is really friendly and the vibes here are really cool (as you can see from the cool lighting in the photos)!

Tried this place with my husband and one of his friend who was visiting us from LA. The ambiance was amazing. The server was very welcoming and she briefed the menu. We love the Indian flavours & fusion take on each and every dish. We started off with Masala Soda and Two old fashioned. The drinks were good. For food we ordered bunch of stuff like Palak Paneer Pizza, followed by Butter Chicken Calzone, Maggi Noddles and lamb. I liked the palak paneer pizza. My husband and his friend just loved the Butter Chicken Calzone and Maggi Noodles. The lamb was decent however would rate this lower than the Butter Chicken Calzone and Maggi Noodles. In the end we then ordered chana chaat and Kebab Pizza. Kebab Pizza was delicious. I would highly recommend this place and would rate it 4.5 stars.
