Might be one of the worst sandwich experiences. The bread didn't have any substance and the filings for the veggie sub were sparse, dominates by this veggie pattie, which was probably the main issue. Not like a veggie sub from Fontano's other similar places.I'm sure the other sandwiches are great, but don't go for a veggie sub here.

The food is good. I've been a customer for more than a decade now. However, their service has fallen off greatly. The young woman and man who work Sundays are incredibly slow and don't communicate honestly with customers about order statuses. My friend and I waited more than 30 minutes for an order of drumsticks and fries only to keep being told, "Two more minutes." Several other people had come in after us, but got their orders. We just cancelled the order and went elsewhere.

The price is right for what you want! Well, that is if you are looking for late night drunchies such as a pizza puff or a Philly cheesesteak. Most of the items come with free fries. Never had an issue with service and always had my orders to go.

I ordered a burger and fries. A few hours later I was throwing up and experiencing severe diarrhea (blood too). I'll spare you the rest of the details but I was on and off the toilet every 5 to 10 minutes for a 7 hour period. My stomach is still cramping 14 hours after the initial symptoms. I would not recommend.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! This was the first and last time I will order from this place. Ordered a HOT corned beef sandwich. Picked it up on time and it ice cold. Bread not grilled or even toasted, come on! Thrown in a bag...San which not even put together, just wrapped with things everywhere. No dressing. Terrible.

Small whole in the wall place. Would only recommend for drunk food after the bars if nothing else around is open. Food is decent if you're under the influence. Hygiene and cleanliness could be better.

After a year+ on the lookout for this elusive Chicago delicacy, I recently had the good fortune of locating & eating a Jim Shoe (aka Gym Shoe) at Super Submarine on Ashland. For those not in the know, the Jim Show is a corn beef, roast beef and gyro meat filled sandwich originating from Chicago's South and West sides. I paid $14.99 + tax for a 12" beast of a sandwich. The meat was minced, mixed, and served on soft sub bread, then topped with mayo/tzatziki, yellow mustard, giardiniera, shredded lettuce and tomatoes. A blend of three famous sandwiches creating something amazingly delicious and completely American. Why choose one when you can have ALL THREE?! The Jim Shoe has claimed the number one spot in my heart (and stomach) as Chicago's best sandwich.

This place is amazing for late-night food. Ali is super great and competent. I came in on a Saturday night when there were like 20 people in the lobby. There were 2 guys working and they did an amazing job of preparing everyone's food.I had the catfish along with the hot wings. Both things were perfectly seasoned. I've also had a chicken sandwich on another occasion, which was also really fresh and good!
