Went here with my family on a trip to San Diego after reading the yelp reviews. The food is very good. I've never had Mexican food like this before, but the server was very friendly and let us try samples to zero in on what we liked.I had the spicy pork, which hit the spot. It was very flavorful with a good amount of heat to it.We were staying downtown but this was totally worth the trip. I'll be telling my friends back home to check it out when they're in San Diego.

The food is good here. They have a variety of dishes & it taste homemade. I hadn't been here in years as I kind of forgot about them but decided to come in for lunch & got the chicken enchiladas with mole sauce & let me say, it was delicious!! It was more of the sweeter side than the spicy side but still tasted very good. It came with a side of rice & beans. The portions were perfect! The lady that took my order was friendly and suggested the enchiladas as I mentioned that I wanted something with mole. She was smiling & gave a welcoming vibe. They have indoor seating & have plenty of tables. I noticed that after we arrived, more customers started to get there as it was lunch time. I would definitely come again & plan to try the menudo.

This place is nicer than your average taco shop and has lots of space to sit and eat, though the AC was lacking a little. The food was SO GOOD - the mole enchiladas were incredible and soda refills were appreciated. There were a lot of unique options for a "plate lunch" type of deal - basically a meat stew and rice that looked really good and filling. I went by myself and everyone working there was super nice and there seemed to be a fairly regular lunch crowd. Good vibes in there for sure, highly recommend.

I have driven by many times, and have read great things, but I haven't had the chance to stop by until recently. I was actually going to Canada, but it was really crowded, so why not try something new. Parking is street or if you're there after 6, there are some spaces behind the market.Friendly greeting when I walked in, I didn't know what to order. Looked over the menu boards and I remembered reading they had mole. So I asked and ordered the plate to go with rice and beans. I also ordered a chicken burrito for a friend. The chicken was really tender and the sauce was delicious. The chicken burrito was very good too. It too was filled with rice and beans and huge!Definitely worth checking out. They have a small patio outside. I look forward to exploring some of the other dishes!

As a strong hater of cafeteria style food (I won't even go to Chipotle) this is the only place that I make an exception for.I'm going to have to dock points because it's usually hot as hell in there and there's flies but the food is so good I try not to see the flies on purpose. It's really been a problem because in the area it's fly Central you can't really stop it. I love their chicken mole and their chili relleno are the best there's also that poblano with pomegranates that keeps increasing in price dramatically but there's a lot of good choices he'll let you sample anything I like that cactus stew too

The ultimate comfort food!! Super Cocina is like walking into someone's home. It's restaurant quality home-cooking feel. As your go through the line, you'll see all their guisados. I love the mole and costillas de puerco. Ask questions if you aren't sure and they'll let you sample! Super important because some of the dishes are scorchers!! They have a number of soups too and I love the pozole! Besides what you see, they have some menu items like enchiladas or quesadillas. Breakfast options are available also. Such a delicious spot for the most comforting dishes.

Local cafeteria style Mexican spot that I have been wanting to try out in person for a while. I first tried them with an Uber Eats order, and really liked their chicken enchilada with mole. This time around, I came by in person to check out the rest of the menu. Unfortunately, while everything looked delicious, nothing in the hot food bar was labeled, so I had to ask about every item.. but the lady did not know English. In any case, this did not take away from the food! I ordered the two guisados plate that comes with rice and beans, which came out to about $17. Wish it was cheaper for a casual eatery, but this is what this is. I'd still come back!

I had been wanting to try this place out for a while after I received a recommendation. The restaurant is small and gives you Mexican barrio vibes, the abuelas and abuelos are there eating their pozole and catching up on the chisme. They have all the food laid out, so you can easily see what you want to order. I ordered the plate with 2 antojitos and guisado for $15.99. I thought it would be cheaper to be honest, but this is pretty average for San Diego. I had the carnitas, beef taco, empanada.Overall, everything was good the serving size is pretty is reasonable, but the empanada is the one that I would not re-order. It was purely masa and it barely had any meat. The service was great, I was helped immediately and they have a parking lot. I would come back to this place to try out their other guisados and soups

Best Mexican food I ever had. I didn't know what to order, but the lady made sure i made the right decision by offering samples of all of the guisados. I honestly didn't know what to choose because they were all so good! I forgot the name of what I ordered, but I will not forget the flavor. If I'm ever in San Diego again, this will be my first stop!!
