Before my grandmother passed away, one of the places my parents and I took her out to lunch was the Super China Buffet in Shoreline. She lived in Foss Home and liked this location, plus it was not too far from her residence. The interior of the restaurant was level and she did not have a problem getting to the table(s).Food was easy to access and the dishes were straightforward to find. Offerings were varied and what I had was good. My parents said what they got was a little more hit or miss. My grandma was more like me and liked what she got as well. Workers were friendly and professional.

First time here with good friends who frequent & enjoy their buffet. On the weekends they have a good variety of seafood, including dungeoness crabs cooked with scallions and ginger yummy! The food is very tasty and there are so many dishes to choose from. The restaurant can get really crowded since their offerings are plentiful and freshly made. There is something for everyone Fresh sushi and fresh fish, etc. Definitely worth the money, and good valueI will definitely recommend to others and be back again. There is a large private parking lot and the staff is courteous and welcoming.

I usually come into buffets with low expectations. Majority of buffets I've been to the food and service is always sub-par, and Super China Buffet is no exception. My roommate and I came here a little after 2pm while they had their lunch hour which was I think $16 per person. The food options were okay and had your typical food you'd find at a Chinese Buffet. I went through about 3-4 plates until I felt completely stuffed. Now look, you're not looking for quality at buffets, you're looking at the "bang for your buck". $16 per person is an amazing price for all you can eat. Although not everything was good, you will feel sated here. The sushi was a little better than other buffets I had where they would stuff a lot of imitation crab, so here you get a little more real fish used. Chow mein and fried rice was alright. I don't plan to come back here anytime soon, but if someone were to invite me to come back during lunch hours I would be down to go. 2.8/5

Great value and good food considering it's a buffet. Service is always attentive and this is my go to place when I want a Chinese buffet. Sushi options are better than some of those bento places

Came here recently for mostly the nostalgia. Very popular place for wedding and funeral receptions. I was honestly surprised to see a variety of people here for a weekend lunch. It's changed quite a bit since the past 2 decades I've been here. Now offering sushi which is a bit suspicious because the nigiri just tasted a bit dry from sitting out for a while. Texture for the raw fish felt off to me. So I don't recommend the salmon and tuna nigiri. The sushi rolls were a bit better. Shrimp nigiri is the safest for sure.I tried a bunch of stuff for my first plate of random buffet stuff. Some just out of curiosity. Fried rice was tasteless. Chicken and broccoli was half okay. Broccoli safe to eat, chicken looked old to me, but I ate it and didn't get sick. Got some Coconut Chicken, that is, I would've if I knew which pieces wasn't just fried batter. The beef in onions wasn't bad, probably the second best thing I got. The potsticker was okay at best. Hot and sour soup was barely flavorful if it wasn't for the chili pepper flakes that was added in. That helped a lot.Second plate I went for the stuff I missed, but wanted to try. Some of it was just out of curiosity. I tried the sole fish which was done alright, but presentation on the tray was kind of awful. I regret getting the cooked salmon due to the fact it was overly cooked being tough and not enjoyable to eat at all. The barbecue rib was confusing. Like why was there so much water there??? And why only some pieces had bbq sauce on it? And why does it look like it was boiled only and not even grilled or roasted at all??? The shu mai was terribly overly cooked also. It had a bone in it as well. What kind of shu mai has a bone in it?!?!?! Egg roll was under fried. Fried shrimp wasn't too bad. And finally I got some chicken thing that I had no reason why I got it. It was so confusing. The dessert plate finally. Hard to mess this up when a lot of it take no prep. I grabbed 3 orange slices which were solid. A legit Oreo cookie. Yes, they did not cheap out and go for some 3rd party knock off Oreo. It was a legit Oreo.Got a french palmier which could've been so much better, but whatever. The best item I grabbed for dessert wasn't even in the dessert line. It was with the fried stuff. The sugared fried doughnut was amazing! Maybe a bit too much sugar, but it was solid. There was ice cream as well that you can get scoops of. I went with the coffee ice cream. And I swear people need to do this. Grab a sugared fried doughnut and eat it with the ice cream! It will be the best experience you'll have eating here!!! I highly recommend that. And honestly, they need to advertise doing that as well. It's a solid combo!Service is honestly better than other reviewers say it is. We got soda refills and our plates removed from the table on the regular. They had no issues doing any of that. I didn't mind giving them a decent tip because of that.Decor is like what you would see at any buffet or even a pancake house. Nothing too fancy. I did feel a bit uncomfortable putting my hands on the table. Just gave me a vibe that it was really sticky. Overall, place seemed pretty clean.Yes, this probably deserve a 2 star because it could've definitely have been better food quality-wise. But I think for what it was, a 3 star is solid for the service and fried doughnut with ice cream. A must try! If you ever are forced to come here against your will, choose carefully. Fried rice, fried shrimp, broccoli, fried doughnut, and orange slices are your safe bets.

This place has mixed reviews. But I thought everything was great. Even the girlfriend enjoyed it on Valentine's Day.

I don't get why the reviews are so low. Been eating here for 3 years and I am not stopping! The dinner menu is absolutely a STEAL! All the salmon poke you can eat, salmon sashimi, a nice sushi selection, salmon, cooked fish, mongolian pork, pork shaomai, ribs, shrimp vegetable stir fry, beef ribs w/ bbq sauce, clams, crawfish, Chinese-style stewed beef and radish, orange chicken, sea snails (I'm astonished how large they are!!), mayo mussels, coconut chicken, store-bought pork buns, your classic fried rice and noodles and lo mein, the typical pre-made potstickers, fried shrimp and cheap scallops, egg drop soup. There's even a Mongolian Grill!!Unlike V-Star buffet, they don't hold back on all the meat and seafood you can enjoy!!! There's meat in nearly every meal item! It's an outstanding mixture of Chinese-American, American, and a few Korean and Japanese elements! I am so blessed to be to pig out here every time! This is a steal for about 23 dollars! You can eat all the meat you want!! Stuff is so expensive these days. I can easily eat at least 3 meals worth of meat here!! Imagine how much cheaper this place is compared to order 3 items from a local Chinese takeout, terriyaki, or Korean restaurant!Dessert menu here is solid too! Jello, mango jelly, honeydew and cantolope melons, fruit, and ice cream selection. Your nice typical Chinese-American cakes too. ;)Salad bar seems pretty small. Store-bought American-style maraconi salad and potato salad. In regards to service, the staff has always been alright. Some aren't strong English speakers and only know Mandarin. They've never been rude in my past 3 years of coming here. I did notice today the woman at the register expected a tip. I'm going to keep an eye on this behavior...Dishes, utensils, and tables have always been clean.Man, I can never see myself ordering Chinese takeout again when I can just munch away at everything they offer here.Only downside? Definitely not for vegans, low carb people, diabetics, etc.. But this is a Chinese buffet, you're not here for that stuff. ;)Compared to other buffets?- Far higher quality food than Grand Buffet in Marysville- A far superior menu selection than V-Star Buffet- Not as high quality as Feast Buffet- Super China Buffet uses a lot of store-bought items for western food- Not as high quality as Mandarin Buffet and Grill, but it's a lot cheaper- Closest comparison I have is Harbor Buffet before it closed.Shorine is overall my favorite considering the drive distance. Going to Feast is rare due to me being located very far away from Renton.

I just returned from my first visit to Super China Buffet. Today's a weekday and I arrived at 11:00 a.m. (they open at 10:30 but the online info I found said 11:00). Lunch was $15.99 and a soda was $1.99 - both extraordinary prices these days. The front of the house was clean and tidy and I was greeted immediately upon arriving. The silverware and plates were spotless (I always check). There are a ton of choices including Chinese, American, Japanese and Korean food, as well as a Mongolian grill. Buffet food is never going to match the taste of food that was cooked to order for a single diner but was still very good. I've got guests coming from England next week and I'm taking them here for a casual dinner one night while they're here.
