What a great place. I can't speak to the food side as it looks like they have now transitioned to be a taproom only. That said it was a great experience. If the management reads this then they need to let Mike the bartender know how amazing a job he does. It was a packed house and everyone had a beverage and was served immediately. I was there during the drag bingo and had a great time! I would highly recommend stopping by. They have great beer and a ton of mead varieties available, my only suggestion would be to stock more ciders as I heard many requests for one.

Disappointed!LOVED the food! Now it's JUST a tap room. Can only get one type of canned beer and one type of bottled beer. There was SO MUCH more before the pandemic stranded me in Michigan. I was looking forward to getting good food w/ good beer & taking a variety of cans back home. I get nothing this time! Everytime I came to Az, I would come here for the food for my friend and I, and the beer for me & to take home to a friend.

Howdy all, Sunup Brewing on Camelback is closed. We found out from Los Somreros that they bought the Sunup Taproom and they are turning it into a Cantina/Sportsbar soon. Looking forward to it!

I've been here three times for drag brunch bingo and I've had fun every time. I got there late one time and was about to leave but the bingo announcer was so kind and had us scoot some outside tables close enough to hear her calling numbers out. They also have a great selection of prizes considering it's free to play! Two cons: -The food menu has very limited options -If you order bottomless mimosas it doesn't seem very bottomless. The waiters are hard to flag down and you end up sitting with an empty glass for a long time. It's happened on all three occasions. It's kind of annoying but I understand that those days get pretty busy. Overall, I can ignore those things because of how great the bingo announcer is and how much fun I have.

What happened? Haven't been here in 5 years, but I wanted to go back for those awesome fish and chips. Guess what? They took them off the menu Jan 1!!WTF? The beef rib thing was abysmal, just so tough and not as described. The BLT sandwich was lackluster too.I remember the food was really good there back the. But ow it's subpar.Whose moronic idea was it to get rid of the fish and chips but hey let's have duck wings? OMG!!The beer was just ok. I guess my memories are just that, memories.Won't be rushing back for food, that's for sure.

Sunup... little place, a lot of beer!A bunch of friends and I started a light-rail beer crawl here on a weekend afternoon. The bar was fairly dead so it wasn't a huge deal to push together tables in anticipation of those coming behind me. At first we were instructed to order at the bar, but then a nice waiter came by and took care of us [can't recall his name] for our 1-2 hours there. Sunup produces a lot of different beers, which is surprising for how small their place appears. Being so, I went ahead and got a 5-beer flight across a variety of styles - Bearded Blonde, Infamous Cream Ale, Mutiny IPA & two others. The Bearded Blonde was the clear winner in my book, especially while my friend and I chomped on a pretzel. Yeah the other beers were good, but nothing too spectacular. Their layout was a little confusing too since apparently there are 2 separate buildings and a courtyard in between- totally thought it was just the small entrance building.Definitely worth another visit though.

Just not good.Today, a group of friends from work decided to visit Sunup Brewery Company to celebrate a co-worker's retirement. This was my second visit to Sunup Brewery Company and to be perfectly honest the food and the service just wasn't good. The staff at Sunup Brewery are warm, friendly, and extremely personable, which is why I feel terrible for calling out their food as bland and poorly executed. I really wanted to like Sunup Brewery so badly, however, the way to begin a meal is not with poor service, confusion, poor tasting food, while sitting in a stuffy smelling room.On this visit I ordered the "Red Chili Taco Special" which was served with spanish rice and black beans. The entire meal can only be described as horrible. The taco meat was bitter to the point of being unedible, and was served on a cold tortilla. The Spanish Rice was bland, flavorless, and mushy and the black beans tasted as if they were poured from a can onto the plate. I was able to eat a few bites of my meal but decided to leave the rest. A co-worker even tasted a portion of my meal and agreed it was awful.Moving onto the service. Our server advised us that he was new and we were a group of about 15, so I wasn't expecting him to act like a seasoned server. However, I didn't expect the poor service that we received. There was a lot of confusion about the ordering, serving, bills, and follow up to see if we were enjoying our meals, or needed anything.With that being said I am not in a rush to revisit anytime soon.

Went to Sunup brewing company last night, will be on our list of regular spots. Nice environment, great staff and amazing veggie burger. Also: I recommend getting a beer flight so you can sample a few of their awesome brews. The place was "FORGETABOUTIT "

We are a fire alarm/ CO2 detection system contractor and have kept this location compliant over the years. Last annual completed in September, and we have not been paid. The owner doesn't communicate or respond to collections. Do not do business unless paid upfront or you might be stuck in the same situation we are in. Sad to lose business and a long-lasting business relationship.
