Sunset Gyros

I love everything about this place the food, the service, the atmosphere everything is comfortable and good and just love it. The bartenders are amazing. They are also the servers. They all work so hard it's always clean. The food is always delicious and there's lots of it.

Outdoor seating makes this a good spot during Covid-19 time, and the servers had masks although one of them did not have the recommended nose and face ones but a clear one that looked like it pointed upward so she should switch to CDC one ASAP. Patio is tiny so if others are smoking, you're going to have it come your way, which is a shame since I'd rather taste my food than smoke. Don't order the "small pitcher" of beer as it's no bigger than mugs used elsewhere--better deal is still the reg. pitcher although they hiked up the price since the last time I visited. The gyros are made from those slices that anyone can buy frozen at a supermarket, so that was disappointing. You'd hope a place with "gyros" in its name would have that as their specialty and would have their own meat on a rotisserie and carved off freshly, so both my partner who had the sandwich (side of fries--again, not fresh, frozen), and myself who had the platter (curry soup) were crestfallen at seeing the perfectly formed machine-made slices, which though tasty, were nothing we don't thaw and make at home. However, the pita was better than usual, and the soup was perfectly spiced and tasty. They should stress their soups and do a 1/2 sandwich and soup, esp. since this is in a Sr. community. There seemed to be a lack of interest by the waitstaff to be warm, welcoming, or helpful. Duty rather than eagerness to serve and please does not add much to atmosphere. Our first server even had the nerve to tell us she was going off duty so would we mind closing out--geez, if you're so worried you're going to miss out on a tip, you should work it out with your fellow workers or have your supervisor devise a better policy.

Stumbled upon this place by accident. twice!!!First time i went inside one early evening just because of their great gyro deal. GOOD FOOD and found out it was a full bar!!!! Next time I walked there one evening to get some food and found it was KARAOKE night, 8-10 and all the seniors make great singers. good prices and good food and beer

Great food and reasonable prices. Fun place to hang out and sing karaoke. The best restaurant in Sun City.

They have excellent gyros. I've been there several times in the past year for lunch and the food and service has always been very good. Looks like a local favorite. Prices are a bargain. Looking forward to trying other menu items instead of the gyros which are a sure thing for me. They have a small bar which customers where enjoying each time I was there. A freindly place for a quick tasty meal. The decor is almost nonexistent but the food is good. It has an outdoor seating area for the cooler weather months.

This is tucked away in a non descript strip mall and is nothing to look at. Don't bother if ambiance is what you are after. If, though, you just want a decent gyro, then check the joint out. It seemed as though they weren't selling a lot a gyros based on the slight crispiness on the edges of the meat, but it is tasty, plenty of tatziki sauce and crispy fires. All at a very reasonable price. I will stop by again when we are in the area.

Loved the food, service, and ambianceEverything is well cooked, the staff is polite and appear clean. It all at a reasonable price. The size gives you that mom and pop feel with food that taste expensive.

Excellent gyros. The meat is always tender and moist. I've eaten plenty gyros across the country and this is some of the best I've had.

Really great food at a very reasonable price. Their home made soups are the best I have ever had, and I love their gyro and falafels as well. Their side greed salad in unreliable, large and full of great things. I have been several times, and never have been even slightly disappointed. The place is very comfortable and nicely done.

The waitress today was very rude! Because I hadn't finished my outside coffee she wouldn't even say hello - how ya doing, just 'NO outside beverages'! We all left and went somewhere else! We have been coming here for several years so she knew us also! We won't be going back there!
