Oh my God - I cannot believe that I forgot to Yelp this the moment I got home! Pardonez-moi.I was invited by a college friend of my mom's (they went to Stanford, aka the school that rejected me) to see the afternoon program (about a charity) and have lunch. Let me just put it out there right now that I LOVED it, with a capital L. It is like going back in time. It was a wonderful escape from my little mundane life, and I just gobbled up every old-fashioned upper crust nuance. All the women are addressed by Mrs. So-and-so, like it's 1953, and the iced tea is very fancy and I loved it loved it loved it. As liberal and progressive as I try to be, there was just something in the nostalgia of it all that I soaked up like a sponge. And you know what was great? Seeing all these older women who'd taken/were taking good care of themselves, wearing stylish but not Grandma clothing, doing something social for a laugh. We're all going to be there some day and it gave me faith that I'll be able to handle it. Will I be able to afford a membership at the Sunset Club - certainly not, but wherever I'll be I hope to do it with the style of the ladies I met this day.

SO BEAUTIFUL!I was my bf's date to his company's yearly formal gathering. They held it at the Sunset Club the year before, but I couldn't make it. I'm SO glad I made it out this year. Definitely not a place to wear jeans---this place is very classy so semi-formal/formal wear would be best. We were greeted with a glass of wine--with ninja-like servers who fill up your glass each time you take a sip (NOT a good thing :) and very tasty hors d'oeuvres. Dinner was buffet style, a little cold when it was our turn but still tasty. There's a good sized dance floor for the ballroom dancers that evening and a good sized hall that can probably fit 200ish guests. This is a perfect venue for a wedding reception! Parking is across the street on the corner of Boren & Seneca. From what we were told it's the Club's private parking lot so we didn't have to pay for street parking.

This place doesn't even published its membership fees. But when they threw a gala you see more high end cars in the valet parking lot at once thing you do in the whole state. And man are the ladies good looking. Doesn't look like anyone there has ever worked a hard day in their lives. And their problems seem small when they talk on the cell. Boy are they good looking.

At first reading the reviews, I had no idea they were talking about the Sunset Club I have been to. My company has a giant, fancy, wonderful Holiday Party every year at the Sunset Club, and I always have a great time. I love looking at the pictures of past presidents on the walls upstairs and their crazy, crazy hairdos. I usually have at least a few glasses of wine before I do this. See my profile picture for an example and understand why I aspire to their follicular ranks! There is a delightful, secret deck on the second floor off of the Ladies lounge, with tons of container plants and a charming awning. It feels like a courtyard sandwiched between buildings in Paris. Other than the dance floor, this is my favorite place in the Sunset Club. If you've got some serious cashola and you need a large venue for an event, this place has tons of room. Glorious! It's like a giant sorority!

I was invited here and I thought the building or the interior of the "house" is actually very nice. Surely you need to be in formal or semi-formal atttire when you go here. They have a stairs that when you walk down, it's like a grand entrance. Well, kind a reminded me of Titanic lol. They have these very old pictures of the ex-members of this Club at the 2nd floor which gives an old character.I think the food was just fine to ok that's why I deducted one star.

I hostessed my second event at the Sunset Club last night and cannot believe the level of service provided by everyone at the club throughout the evening. I wasn't sure if it would be crass to Yelp such a venue, but yes, there are prior posts on this private woman's club. Steven the manager is the epitome of class and has the east coast personality to charm all the women. Our 100 guest events begin with passed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and then Steven chimes the start of dinner, where guests know it's show time and to move into the dining room. I am simply amazed by the servers, who take drink orders and then have to track down the wandering guests. Once the evening is underway, I part ways with a lovely takeout box of the evening's dinner. Last night I had the spinach with fresh berries, candied pecans and poppyseed dressing. The filet was perfectly cooked and accompanied by asparagus and an Israeli cous cous with additional vegetables. The apple tart with almonds was a perfect ending. If you ever have the chance to attend an event at the Sunset Club, go!

My friend makes pastries there, I have had a cookie and it was great. Baked to perfection the decoration on the cookie was quite extensive. They make cake to order if you have a party. They will make what ever you want if you are a member. Come here if you are lucky.

Absolutely beautiful! Reminded me of a building from another era. How did this end up on First Hill? The location is kind of bad because parking is almost impossible to find in this neighborhood, even on a Tue night. Food is great, the venue is so impressive and gorgeous. You should definitely host a meeting here if you can.

I came here for a memorial service and it accommodated a lot of people. The interior is classic - soft, neutral tones - and the ambience is wonderful. It's a nice space for all different kinds of events, especially more formal and elegant ones

My mom has been a member of the Sunset club for about 10 years now so I have been here many many many times... I love it here. Its a private club so you can't get in unless a member invites you, your family of a member or you are a member yourself. Their programs range from charities to the x-project, jewelery to classes, chocolates to private functions. My sister had her wedding here and I don't think it could have been any more perfect. The food is quite good and the staff are the most friendly lovely people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. They are amazingly accomodating to members and their guests/family. Its kind of like walking into a fairy tale world you've only heard of in story books where everything is perfectly coordinated, the food is excellent, people are polite and courteous and the liquor seems to just be better. Their bartender is astounding and makes the best lemondrop in town btw.As my mother is a member I will more then likely become a member later in my life and utilize the club for showers, parties and other such private functions. I have spent some of the most memorable days and nights of my life here and am happy to say that of all the private clubs I have visited in Seattle this one is by far the cream of the crop.On a side note I want to thank the club for being such a happy part of my mother's life. She has been more and less and more inolved over the years and I'm happy that she has a place to express herself and to do things with others... simply to feel involved in something is a good feeling that I'm happy to say they have provided for her.
