I love supporting local, indie, family run businesses. I love breakfast. What a great discovery at 79th and Aurora in North Seattle! I had stopped in twice on 1/20/24 and 1/28/24 and yes, they're an amazing site serving breakfast and lunch with also featured specials. There's decent table availability for dining onsite, and they sure do brisk, voluminous takeout orders. Street parking can be available on or adjacent to Hwy99/Aurora or via one of three marked spots in the parking lot behind the restaurant. Just make sure to heed the signs and park appropriately.Efficient service with a friendly demeanor. My order of pancakes, eggs and sausage and another visit for corned beef hash, eggs, toast, with additional hash browns were both satisfying and economical. I look forward to trying other items from their menu.

I dropped my car off at the mechanic and this restaurant was open. What took me so long to write a review? That I'm unsure of. The interior is no frills of the Diner variety, but the tables are clean and the seats are comfortable. My French toast was spot on and delicious with airy fluffy eggs, the sausage was browned perfectly. They had just opened and said they were going to add Mexican breakfast dishes in the future. A fountain soda machine so refills would be unlimited but cans suffice for now. I plan on going back. A hidden gem on Aurora Ave.

Title: Pleasant Surprise and Excellent ServiceOur visit to this restaurant was quite serendipitous, as it was formerly an Asian restaurant. However, we decided to give it a try, and we were pleasantly surprised! The service was exceptional, with attentive staff who made us feel welcome. The food was absolutely delicious, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. We will definitely be back for more!

Had a fantastic breakfast at Sunrise. The staff is very efficient in seating and order intake. The scramble came out warm and delicious. I ate the entire thing! It specializes in simple and traditional breakfast offerings. A nice break from fancier area venues. And a great value!

One of my favorite places to eat in Seattle!Having been to Mexico several times, I've yet to find authentic Huevos Rancheros in the states - until this place! In general, the food quality is much higher than the typical Seattle breakfast place. My favorite is the Huevos Rancheros with rice and beans (their rice and beans are particularly good), but I also like the chilaquiles.Dishes are flavorful. Portions are a good size. Prices are very reasonable. And the service is great.

Really cute clean place and nice people. Other people's stuff looked really nice. I ordered a veggie cheese omelette. What I got wasn't a veggie cheese omelette. It was a big fried thing, almost like a frittata. Not very flavorful or seasoned. No gooey cheese factor. That's not what an omelette is. Really liked the rice and beans that I ordered with it. A lot of flavor there.

This is one of the best Seattle breakfast spots I've been to--and I've lived here since 1998. Delicious options including scrambles with chorizo and southern fare like chicken fried steak, along with traditional French toast and hash, eggs, etc. So many great picks, and I hope to try more of them. Don't be scared because it's off aurora--the interior vibe is very mellow and yet welcoming. It's casual but with an amazing soundtrack (70s and 80s hits) playing on big screens. Many ages and ethnicities inside, and everyone just seems happier after being inside for a few minutes. Sunshine, indeed! (As the sun rises, it beams right through the windows--there's a quick, free seasonal affective disorder fix for ya!)Seattle's breakfast scene has long been lacking--you get expensive, poorly cooked food accompanied by sullen service by someone who'd rather be making her "art." This isn't that. This appears to be run by people who love what they do. But don't tell everyone else, okay?
