Sunright Tea Studio - U District

I wanted to like this place so much especially after reading some of the reviews but unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations. I ordered online and the drinks were late. I found the drinks to be slightly pricer than other places. The boba was too soft and "slippery". I had a few in there that were a little firmer (which is personally how I prefer it to be). My husband got the taro milk tea and it was powdery (even after he shook it well). The staff member was friendly and polite when I asked if the drinks were going to be much longer. It's a very a small place right next to Trader Joe's. Bench area to wait for your drink while it's being made. No other seating available. It's more of a grab and go...I think this place is a hit and miss depending on how you like your boba!

The location is how they get yah! Right next to Trader Joe's and in U district. The ordering system is easy, walk in and order on a screen. Make sure you sign up to get points so you can get some $$ off after so many drinks you buy! There's a small area to sit next to the window that faces the counter where they make drinks.Mango frostie: mmmm so good! I love the bits of dried mango blended in and the tea jelly they add. This is usually my go to drink! Although it's getting quite pricey now....Oreo brulee boba milk: if you like the taste of Oreo cream, this is delicious! Comes with boba and their boba here was just the right amount of chewiness

I came to try Sunright tea studio for the first time because of their Maplestory collab! They featured a limited time Yeti's El Nath coconut frostie and Green Slime's Ellinia kiwi tea. Sunright does these game collabs every now and then so it's always interesting to check it out. This location at UW is one of the few Washington locations of this popular California chain. FoodMy friend and I wanted to try both Maplestory drinks so we got the Yeti's El Nath coconut frostie and Green Slime's Ellinia kiwi tea. I drank the kiwi tea and it was pretty good! The drink was like your typical kiwi fruit drink though and didn't really have anything special to make it Maplestory centric other than the cup and name. I would come again to try some other drinks here. AtmosphereThe space is very small and really only has standing room. It is not a place where you can come and hang out with your friends. There are 2 kiosks that you order your drink. PricingThe prices for the drinks at Sunright are average compared to other fruit teas places. The Maplestory drinks were about a dollar more than the average drink at Sunright. ServiceSelf service ordering so you don't have to talk to anyone to order your drink. You can customize the ice level, sweetness, and toppings. The drink came out pretty fast. OtherThere is a parking garage next to the tea shop but coming in and out of it during traffic times is annoying to do since it's on a busy one way street. The entrance to Sunright is right across the entrance to Trader Joe's!

Sunright is located next to Trader Joe's and has accessible parking through a parking garage. The place itself is very small and can get crowded quickly. I would not recommend this place as a hang out spot and would just grab and go. I ordered the matcha oolong milk tea with honey boba, which I've had before, and I absolutely love the fragrance of the oolong tea here. The boba is soft but chewy, and the matcha is also wonderful! My boyfriend ordered the four seasons got the four seasons latte with honey boba, which was also nice, but I definitely prefer the matcha oolong milk tea since I love matcha. The teas here are so flavorful and I would definitely come here again, only downside is that the tea seems to contain a lot of caffeine and it kept us up all night. So I wouldn't try drinking this later in the day.

Great boba spot. My order is made well consistently. Best part? It's right next to Trader Joe's! That makes it hard for boba to not be a part of my life weekly. And if you shop at TJs you can use their free parking garage (bottom floor). Doesn't get better than this :)

Love that this spot was right next to Trader Joe's in udistrict. The store is small but after ordering on the tablet our drinks came out quickly. The boba was nice and chewy!

A great boba spot in udistrict! The boba is so chewy and delightful, and the tea flavor is great. The servers made our drinks super fast as well, and the store is small and quaint. If you're craving boba, this will definitely satisfy that craving! Would recommend getting boba as a topping for their milk teas, it's so perfectly qq

Many options and nice quality of drinks. The honey boba and cream pudding are especially good. The line can be quite long, but worth the wait. Wish it had more seating options but for a pick up and go option, it's a great choice in the U District, would drink again!

I was disappointed with Sunright in LA and figured it's an overhyped spot but this location has redeemed it for me. Must have been an off day. Sunright being the newest addition to the boba lineup around UW is a blessing (at the time of writing like one year ago, oops) - definitely one of the top spots in the area. Two tablets await you on arrival to order quickly. No tables but there is a small "bench" for you to wait and possibly have short conversations on. This location is right next to the Trader Joes and there is a parking garage also next to it (though not sure if payment is required. Street parking available of course).Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba - at 50% sugar, I found the brown sugar swirls around my cup interesting and was worried my drink would be wrong. Well, even after shaking, the sweetness was not too heavy and was actually enjoyable. Boba was very chewy with a mild sweetness. While it could be better in terms of having flavor, it is one of the better boba toppings around here.

I personally try to avoid visiting the University District area because of how busy it constantly is. However, my sister wanted to try the Honkai Star Rail specialty drinks before the event ended. I got the Kafta (Blushing Blueberry Splendor), and my sister got the Blade (Karmic Chocolate Matcha + cheese foam on top). I liked how refreshing the blueberry drink was, but I do think the chocolate matcha drink was better. Very small boba shop right by the Trader Joe's. The Trader Joe's has parking for customers, so if you are only coming in to pick up and leave, you should be okay to park there. There isn't any reason to really hang around inside the shop since it's so small. You can also pay for street parking.
