Miss when they were actually sunny teriyaki. The guy who worked there was so nice (not saying these people aren't) my favorite item was spicy chicken wings! I called to order them but they no longer are sunny teriyaki or have the wing... bummer

Now called Happy Teriyaki. This place is a go to for me. I'm addicted to their yakisoba. The owners work there everyday and are great people. If you're in the area, this place gets it done.

So much food!That was everyone's response after I bought this for takeout. Got the chicken yakisoba (medium spice) and teriyaki chicken, and it was huge portions. Enough to feed three ppl and have some leftovers.Quality was generally good, the sauce over the teriyaki was a little sweet so maybe ask for it on the side if you don't like that sweet sauce that is usually drizzled over teriyaki. The sauce was also strangely thick which is not what I'm used to. I like teriyaki shops that have more of a liquid based sauce over their teriyaki, but was still pretty good.Will I come back? Maybe if I'm very hungry, but generally most teriyaki shops give pretty large portions so it's not a stand out. I ordered based on reviews and it was on my way home, but I have my favorite teriyaki shops already so I would probably pass. The sauce was just too sweet, too thick for me. Very generous portions though, you will not be hungry afterwards.

I think you get more portions If you eat at the restaurant. I got mine to go and portions were just OK. Maybe it's because I'm a fat ass and I love to eat a lot of food but it was more like an appetizer. I guess in a nut shell it was pretty good I mean how do you really fuckup teriyaki? Never mind you can fuckup just about anything in this world lol. It was pretty good nothing special and I was inneed of something quick.

Went to Sunny Teriyaki for lunch. Highly recommend. For a lunch menu, portions sizes were great, almost too great. After I ate lunch, a food coma followed, which always makes it hard to get back to work. Definitely a go-to spot if you're in Lakewood. Nice staff. Great food. Affordable prices. It's a winner!

**Under New Management**This recently changed to "Happy Teriyaki." With that, prices went up and portions went down unfortunately.No salad provided with the meal and the amount was worth the $12.95 and $11.95 price tags.I asked about spice level when ordering and was told no... both ended up about a 2 out of 5, so not spicy at all. Maybe they're trying to cater more toward general American tastebuds that prefer less spice, maybe they just don't want to bother with customizing order -- either way, I was disappointed.Flavor was fine, but in the end I'm now looking for a new favorite Teriyaki place in the Tacoma area :(
