Sunny Side Up Breakfast & Lunch

The food was pretty good. Service was fair. Mandatory gratuity that isn't clearly stated beforehand is lame.The restaurant is super cute and reminds me of cool old Victorian homes in San Francisco.

Came by for a quick breakfast and this place turned out to be quite busy for lunch. It seems to be american breakfast with a mexican twist. I had the chicken sandwich, which came has a pretty big portion. Actually, most of the breakfasts we ordered were fairly large portions. A bit rich and I think lacked a more range of flavour. Like the heavier foods could have used a lighter pairing or some brighter flavours.Over all, it was a decent breakfast but it wasn't anything super memorable. They also have the single bathroom upstairs which a lot of people were waiting for. And the thing that turned my experience down was the auto 18% gratuity. It's really insane to be charged 18% on top of the bill automatically. For that alone, I wouldn't return.

Every thing was eggcellent!!! Had to breakfast tostadas and I was blown away! Every thing was on point!! Service was awesome!!

We went the Sunday morning after Cinco de Mayo for brunch and had no staff. Just one very nice lady that was trying her best to do everything; Host, Serve, Bus, Etc.. We waited and waited but decided to leave after seeing tables waiting 15 minutes to pay... Inside is quite enclosed and not very airy. Not our type of ambiance.

The layout of the restaurant reminded us of Paris. the small narrow steps, small space... service was quick, they get people in and out without you feeling rushed. Typical good ole breakfast options that I did not bother capturing anything else but the Buckwheat waffle.

I came here for brunch alone, and I initially had my pup in my car since I was unsure if the outdoor area was open or closed since it was a colder morning with flurries. I sat at the bar, and my server told me I could bring my pup inside since he was my service dog. I did not bring his service dog vest with me since it was a last-minute trip to get a brunch from the dog park. But I was glad bringing him without his vest was okay, so I picked him up and ordered food. I ordered steak and eggs with a side of sausages for my dog. The food was hearty and a traditional brunch option, especially from a restaurant like this place. My dog enjoyed his side of sausages as well. The server was super nice, and my orders were immediately delivered. The vibe of this place was welcoming and homely. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a place to eat brunch while in Chicago proper. The street parking might be busy or tight, but parking a couple of blocks down is not a problem, and this place is worth the visit.

My husband and I grabbed breakfast here last weekend during our weekend trip to Chicago. We sat outside with only a five minute wait on a Saturday morning around 9 AM. The server was super friendly. Food was yummy - I had some sort of sausage skillet with pancakes on the side and my husband an omelet. Definitely recommend if you are staying in this area of this city!

The service was excellent along with the food. You have great ambiance weather you decide to sit outside or inside. I will definitely be back to have this great experience again.

Unquestionably one of the brightest gems of a breakfast location right in the north loop. Highly recommended.
