I really like how Sunday ice cream has pretty unique, Asian-inspired flavor offerings. It's a perfect fit with its location being on Convoy. I also appreciate that they offer samples on the flavors, although I try not to overdo it on the samples so I'll have to come back more often to try everything. As a Korean, I was the most excited for the boricha ice cream, as I have never seen that flavor in an ice cream anywhere before. It's a mild flavor, but still has that roasted tea taste to it. My husband had the pandan, which in comparison is a very strong flavor. They also provide condensed milk (my favorite ice cream topping) and sprinkles by the register as complimentary toppings. Service is friendly, and they have some seating available for you to sit and enjoy your ice cream. Another plus is that they're open late!

My boyfriend and I were looking for some ice cream to eat while in SD and when we saw that this place was rated 5 stars and had so many asian flavors, we knew we had to give it a try.The ice cream was absolutely delicious!! There were SO many asian flavors and from the small bit that I sampled, everything was so delicious, creamy and flavorful. The ultimate stand outs for me were matcha and the roasted barley! The barley was so unique and my boyfriend and I both agreed that the barley was our favorite! The matcha flavor was the really deep, rich and earthy flavor which I appreciated as opposed to some of the other matcha ice creams that are more sugary. Then you could top it off with some condensed milk at the end which I thought was a nice touch :). I'm not much of a toppings person so I didn't mind that they didn't have many options. I can't wait to come back when I visit SD again to try out some of the other flavors!

Sunday is scooping up some yummy Asian-inspired flavors! Located in Convoy, this is the perfect sweet treat add to the foodie scene! It's about time SD started stepping up their artisan ice cream game. Sampling a few of their flavors, our personal standouts were their Barley Tea (have never seen this flavor before!), banana milk, and premium matcha. We ultimately went with a scoop of injeolmi which is Korean rice cakes in roasted soybean powder. Compliments to whoever is the mastermind behind curating these flavors! Super distinct, robust, and true to their inspired foods/treats! Nothing tasted even remotely artificial.

Small but great ice cream place on Convoy! So good luck with parking! Love the different flavors they had. The person working was really nice and we were able to sample a bunch of cool flavors. Really liked pandan, melona, and banana milk but opted for POG sorbet. The single scoops here are a great size so hope they never change that! The inside is really small though and there were 2 tiny tables that could fit 2 people at most so don't plan on hanging here if you have a group. Will definitely be back!

How befitting for an ice cream shop featuring primarily Asian flavors to open up in the Convoy area. A visit to this small ice cream parlor should be undertaken, I'd reckon, as a post-dinner treat since they are open late (to 12AM on Fri and Sat) and the parking lot with one-way entry and exit does not make it possible to easily pop in for a quick grab-and-go.Their flavors include the now standard "Ube/ Taro", Matcha, and Thai Tea. Some of the more unique are the Yuzu Sorbet, Injeolmi (aka Kinako), and Black Sesame. I had the Injeolmi and Black Sesame (2 scoops for $8) in a waffle cone (+$1.75). I've had Kinako flavor before and the one here delivered as it was delightfully slick and prominently nutty. While it seemed a bad combo to pair this with Black Sesame, the sesame did seem muted, but it could be because the kinako overpowered it. The boy had a bowl with a scoop of "Ube/ Taro" which was a sad product because it tasted nothing like ube and instead tasted spot on like coconut (strange). There are rickety plastic seating available inside and outside that appears to have been purchased from Lagoon up the road. It is somewhat limited, but enough patrons seem to come and go often enough, so it seems highly possible to snag a seat. A welcomed addition to the Convoy district and a great late night option too.

WOWWOWOOWW! This was a great little ice cream spot! Especially in the area, competing with all the other dessert spots- this can hold its own with that delicious banana milk flavor! Service was quick and their split scoop is actually more than enough to satisfy :) my favorite is the lactaid being sold at the register for folks like me who want to indulge, but can't fully enjoy milk hehe10/10- can't wait until I go back already

I am always looking for ice-cream places with Asian-inspired flavors and Sunday didn't disappoint! I came on a Saturday night, so parking was tough, but the ice cream was worth it. With a variety of flavors, the staff is super nice about offering samples too so it helps with the decision process. I ended up ordering a split scoop with pandan and sesame, and both were delicious! The staff was generous with their scoops too, so even with a split scoop, it looks like I got two full scoops.

In one day, I had several people tell me to check out this ice cream spot. It was a warm day, so I said, "Let's go" to my daughter. My first impression of this place was the simplicity and nothing about screamed "eye catching." The best places don't always have to be, and this place definitely proved to me. The flavors are so beyond what I thought it would be. They gave you as many samples so it was a hard choice, but I narrowed it down to Thai tea, matcha, and Vietnamese coffee. I noticed they do not like to waste plastic, and the samples to use are mini metal spoons. I loved the staff. I felt very welcomed, and I will most likely come back again.
