Sunda - Fulton Market

One of my favorite dinners that I have had recently!The escolar with shaved truffle and a potato chip was a highlight and a must-order. The truffle tuna pizza was also fantastic! The tuna sat on top of a scallion pancake which was amazing.We got the crispy rice and I loved the wagyu though the spicy tuna was great as well. The cod was so buttery - would definitely recommend as an entree.The waitstaff were all so friendly and the inside was gorgeously decorated as well!

Post wedding dress shopping dinner at Sunda - Fulton Market with a group of 9. Made a reservation beforehand and we were seated immediately. Service was outstanding, as our waitress checked in consistently and made great recommendations. Tried the grilled vegetables which comes with jasmine rice, as well as the chicken pad Thai, both were amazing. My personal favorite is the crispy Brussels sprouts for a starter (not pictured). Since we were celebrating wedding dress shopping, the staff brought a complimentary dessert out with a candle. We also ordered two other desserts, split easily among our large group for a light bite.

This review is based off of sitting at the bar for drinks. This is a 1 and done spot for me - Maybe I'm bias since I'm of Asian descent, but this place fell short. I will say that the aesthetics are beautiful and that is definitely 5 stars. I haven't tried the food from this specific location, I did have a drink though. I've seen a lot of posts about the ube espresso martini and decided to try it. I was paying attention to how it was made and did not see a shot of espresso being put into it. Also, the ingredients are listed on the menu for their drinks and I was underwhelmed with how this is crafted. Although I didn't love this particular cocktail that is not to say others won't enjoy it. My fiance did have a few sips of it and he said 'it wasn't bad, it's fine.'Service was alright, the interaction with the different bartenders was hit or miss. 1 woman in particular was awesome and attentive, I wish I would have gotten her name. Overall my experience was decent, just not OK enough that I'd come back to order a $21 cocktail that I thought was subpar at best.

Walked in one evening and sat at the bar. Got roll which was surprisingly much larger than I had anticipated! It was yummy and fresh and I'd definitely only get one next time instead of 2 so I don't waste. Good bar service and drink selection. Great music and cool vibe.

Love that they opened a location in west loop! We had Sergio as our server and he was fantastic! Gave great recommendations and had the perfect amount of attentiveness (didn't check in on us every 10 minutes and we weren't always wondering where he was).Food was delicious! We got the crispy tuna rice. I LOVE that we can mix and match between the spicy tuna and wagyu. I wish the rice was more crispy, but still so good. We also got the truffle tuna pizza and this was our favorite thing. Would get it 100 times over. We also got to mix and match the bao buns, pork belly and fried chicken. Will definitely want to be back to try to duck buns! Lastly the chocolate molten lava cake was good. Missing the molten part but a solid chocolate cake.Drinks: tried the famous ube espresso martini. I'm glad I tried it but won't be getting it again. Not necessarily bad, but not my flavor palate.

Six of us stopped by on a Saturday night around 9:30pm and went straight to the bar. It took a little waiting for people to leave for most of us were able to snag seats. The place was PACKED on Saturday so definitely make reservations if you want to plan to go there for a meal. The ambiance was gorgeous and upscale. We all got drinks and a couple of us got sushi. The drinks and sushi were pricey but phenomenal. I would absolutely go back!

I liked the vibe of this restaurant/location over everything. The floor to ceiling windows, the decor, it was all quite sceney. The service was good. The sushi rolls I ordered (island maki and red dragon) were OK I've had better, they lacked flavor in my opinion. The yellowtail jalapeño was delicious! The drinks were also very good (perfect strangers). The ridiculous dessert had such a thin layer of carrot cake, it was overpowered by the glaze.

Sunda provided one of the best dining experiences we've had in a while, with exceptional food creativity and quality. All of the food items were unique and designed to be shared. However, the service fell short of expectations, as our waiter was not up to par. He took our order and barely came back, there was multiple times we had to stop someone just to ask for water refills or to find the waiter to order more drinks. For the price you're paying, top border service should be provided as well. The restaurant is beautiful in its entirety. The front of the restaurant is filled with windows that slide open to create a very spacious, airy atmosphere.

Food: tasty. Oxtail pot stickers needed some chili oil or something and the wrapping was a bit waxy for my liking. The crispy tuna bites were tasty and the chicken inasala was phenomenal. Service: the commence, dim sum, and new creation portions came out quickly, but the main plate took a while. I will say, the chicken inasala was perfectly tender and juicy, so I can't complain about the extra wait time. Server was knowledgeable about origins of each cuisine which is a huge plus in my book! They also brought out a dessert since we were celebrating a birthday. Ambiance: swanky little spot! Really enjoyed the decor and floor plan. Would be a lovely joint for some cocktails and quick bites. Overall, a bit pricey for the product, but generally enjoyed my experience.

Stoped by this new location with a friend on a Wednesday night and it was packed. The ambience was beautiful and the service was wonderful. I do think the food was not as amazing as I thought it would be, but it was good. If other friends wanted to check it out I'd return but wasn't blown away. Specifically, the main dish they recommended was the crispy rice and we thought lthe rice itself was not crispy at all.
