Sumo Japanese Restaurant

One of the best AYCE sushi restaurants in the area! I'm not a big fan of raw sushi but still enjoyed a lot of the dishes because they offer more items than just raw fish. There's plenty of parking space and table booths that fit up to 5-6 people. You order by scanning the QR code sticker on the table and a robot will bring the food to you. They allow you to order up to 15 items every 15 minutes. It does take some time for them to serve longer to cook food like grilled meat and deep fried sushi, so be sure sure to order asap when you're allowed to order. They also offer a mini AYCE bar that includes salad, soup, pork gyoza, sesame balls, egg rolls, miso soup, fruits, and mini coffee/strawberry cake squares. Lunch is about ~$20/ person and dinner/ weekend is about ~$30/person (more food options). My favorite specialty rolls are the tnt scallop, fresh mango, tropical, ninja and Tokyo roll. Highly recommend the teriyaki noodles, grilled chicken, Takoyaki, and grilled NY steak as well (but don't order well-done because it'll be super dry and chewy). Overall, I enjoy eating most of the sushi specialty rolls and hot items. Though the sushi's are very similar and most come with imitation crab, cream cheese, avocado so you might get sick of it lol. I wished they brought back the fried soft-shell crab. Friendly service and they're very fast on taking your finished plates! The only downside is sometimes the robots miss your order or bring way too much of the same item by accident because they don't reset the order history for new customers so it'll mix your order with the folks who sat at your table before you. It's confusing sometimes but just let them know and they'll be happy to fix it :) The robots are a fun eating concept for friends and family so I recommend even if you don't like sushi because who knows, maybe it'll change your mind!

Average sushi but the price is good! Would I come back again? ehhh not too sureParking was fine and the waitress was super nice. However, the table was not cleaned down well and the bathrooms was a mess. Makes me wonder how the kitchen looks. Cute environment with the little electric robot cats that delivers your sushi! Just be sure to pay attention on what you are grabbing. We had one table accidentally grab our order. I suggest also not coming here if you are on the go. It takes time for sushi orders and there was a time we waited over 40 mins.

My husband and I came here with our newborn after picking up my car from Titus will. We weren't able to bring the stroller to the side of the table because we have to allow the robots to move freely along with the workers, but we didn't mind. Service was very quick, all you can eat for lunch for 2 plus 2 domestic beers came out to $55. Their rolls were delicious and the robot was so interesting to see in person! Everyone we encountered was so friendly and kind. We definitely plan to come eat here again.

Pretty decent place for all you eat. You can order 15 items at a time & every 15mins. Most sushi portions are 4-5 pieces so we ordered 2. Problem with ordering with limit is that you can get full while waiting on your food to be delivered by the robot. Salmon sashimi was pretty fresh so that was my fave dish. We ordered total of 20 items, miso soup/dessert(strawberry cake) included and soda(extra$) for +$80 w/tip for 2 people.

Amazing deal!! We stopped in for a late lunch around 2:30ish. Restaurant was about half full and we got sat right away (table of 6). Food was really good for the price - but I wish they had more options at the appetizer/dessert bar, and better attention from the servers. After getting sat, no one came to check on us at all, besides to deliver food and quickly fill waters. I wanted to order a drink and had a few questions about how to order but had to figure it out myself on the website. If you're looking for a good AYCE sushi deal, then this is your place!!

Their service is amazing but only reason for 3 stars is their parking is dangerous for thefts to break in if dining inside & yes they are a buffet which is amazing but their portions are huge huge bigger than bite size so I can't even get no more than 2 plates maybe 3 but their portions are huge but they are good no doubt

Today we decided to go here again. Sushi was great as always. It was super busy today and parking was annoying but it was okay. Only gave it 4 stars because the fried items we got weren't hot, and the bar area was lagging today.

We arrived at 230pm on a holiday and because it was a holiday they were charging dinner prices. I have a medical condition where part of my intestines and stomach had been removed because of tumors. So I can't consume much food and usually order an appetizer when out. They had an item on their menu, two coconut shrimp that would have been a good choice for me. They said they could not have me order from the lunch menu. I was told they could not make that exception for me and I would have to pay the full price of $29 for the all you can eat dinner pricing that was in effect, even if I was only going to eat about 2oz of food. I asked again if they could make an acceptation for me since I had a medical condition and they said no. That I would be charged the $29 and that I could just order the small amount of food. So I said I would just have a drink and not order food. I was told that they were going to watch me to make sure I didn't eat other peoples food from my party. I assured them I would not. I sat as my party ordered and the staff came up to our table two different times to tell me if I ate I would be charged. I literally can't even eat. I assured them I was just having my water. I felt them staring at me so I left my party and sat in their lounge space where people wait to be seated as my family ate. Then they asked me to move if I wasn't waiting for a table so I stood outside until my family was done eating. My family felt bad so they rushed to eat and didn't even get their drinks that we paid for. The Americans With Disabilities Act protects people with disabilities in regard to this. I could have pressed and boasted but I didn't want to embarrass my family. A place of business needs to be equitable to all people regardless of their disabilities. I wasn't asking for much, and even when they wouldn't accommodate me with providing me something from their lunch menu the least they could have done was let me sit with my family while they ate without being harassed and scolded. Walking through the world with this condition is difficult enough. A little bit of grace an empathy would have been much appreciated.

I've been to Sumo quite a few times but finally decided to write a review! Before Sumo I have always went to Trapper's Sushi to get my All You Can Eat Sushi fix but ever since Sumo opened this is my main spot to go to! Not only is it significantly cheaper than Trappers, but the variety at this place is amazing!The quality is very decent for AYCE, and I noticed that they added a few new items such as The Tacoma Dome (Spicy Crab Meat), Dragon Balls (Rice wrapped with salmon and ponzu, and Short ribs! They also have a new location in Kent!
