Sultan Red Apple

If I could give a 0 I would. Checkers not wearing masks regularly and getting rude when asked why is enough for me to boycott permanently. They've always been overpriced but since they were local I supported them-not any longer! If they don't care about the health of the people in this community then I don't care to support them!

My fiance and his son went in the store today to get some spaghetti sauce and they were only in there for 2 minutes and the older man (short in his 50's) approached them accusing them of stealing something and they were so offended that they had to leave the store. Mind you my fiance works in customer service at Stevens pass for the last 10 years and the kiddo is a 4.0 student. Just because the way the dressed (skaters and tattoos) does not mean they are criminals. I'm appalled by how they were treated at this store that I will drive extra time to go to Monroe to buy stuff. I have been there many times since I moved here 3 years ago and I have to say I haven't had the pleasant experience here either. There has been a few times where there was really nice staff working there. The young gals tend to be more customer service oriented whereas there is an older lady that is a complete ass. I will gladly drive extra 5 minutes to Monroe and do my shopping now on. You have lost our service.

They provide exactly what is intended - a convenient place to shop for basic groceries near home or for seasonal travelers. Sure, the prices are elevated and they don't carry everything, but I am always pleasantly surprised at what I can find. The employees are always pleasant, and work hard to maintain a clean environment, and to clear out aging foods and find items appropriate discounts for the bargain bins.

The red apple is a great place to pick up last minute stuff you may need for dinner while they may not always carry everything consistently i go there because it's convenient and the staff are amazing always friendly and helpful if you need them

EEEEEWWW! I shopped at the Red Apple today, where I observed a number of patrons wandering, shopping, without a mask on! Most of the patrons, myself included, were wearing our Anti-Covid masks, as required by law (and common sense!). It was not only those patrons who were not wearing a mask but I saw a known employee in the store also not wearing a mask, hob-knobbing in close contact with the customers! None of the Red Apple employees approached the non-mask shoppers to remind them of the State requirement for masks, and the rationale for the necessity; the welfare of everyone in the building. It is one thing to be careless with your own welfare, but to be careless about others? BAD!The coronavirus IS in our Sultan, WA area, known infected persons are here-and-there. Such laissez faire care of customers gives me the creeps! I have a medical training background, and I am careful to avoid viruses, seasonal as well as novel. I have shopped at the Red Apple for more than two decades, but no more! Careless with my health? I'm not, but apparently the Red Apple is. How sad! - She Who Shops In Sultan; but not at the Red Apple anymore...

These people have always been helpful and courteous. As far as the mask reviews? Regardless of thier reviews they didn't help, per USA News.

I've stopped in here many times as it's near my house, but I have to take my business elsewhere. Multiple times the cashier has not been wearing a mask, and I just can't take the risk. They obviously do not care about the health of others. As my brother is in the ICU tonight with Covid-19, this lack of concern has me livid. This store needs to be shut down until further notice.

Been a customer for over 50 years, now I'm gone. No one wears a mask, have been in there a number of times and customers are not wearing masks, nor employees. Please do not share your spit with me, and thats what your doing when you don't wear a mask. Went in the other day, and complained about customers not wearing any masks, and the cashier defended those that weren't. 300.00 a month x 12, over the next 5 years that's 18,000, but that's just me, not my entire Church.

Came 2 hours before closing and it was already close. Everything in the store was closed like the dairy isle or anything that was refrigerated was closed down already.

I had an issue with some stinky meat and the head butcher lady (complete and depressed snot ) did her best to remedy it by blaming my lack of knowledge concerning meat processing procedures and then told me I didn't have to shop there any more. I can't thank her enough. She must have assumed, that like some people from Sultan, I didn't know I had a choice. I leave no stars except for the one that the Yelp site won't let me delete. I am not the only person that has had a problem with this snot and the owners won't fire her cause they are convinced she works hard. Works hard at destroying local business if you ask me. Thats why you never any one there with a full cart. They are good for toilet paper and only if you have a loved one stranded at home. Monroe is 6 minute away and its worth a couple bucks of gas.
