Suki Sushi

Service is quick, as long as seating is available. Sat at the sushi bar. Def good vibes. Food was super mediocre though. Spicy tuna roll was underwhelming . Cut weird. The fried rice was tasty. I'd get it again. Nothing bad about this visit, but nothing great either.

While visiting the area, we decided to try this place. Although this restaurant is nicely laid out and decorated in pleasant contemporary lighting and artwork, in my opinion, it is overpriced, and the taste and quality of the food is severely lacking. Maybe I'm spoiled by my favorites in my hometown, but I was surprised that others had rated this very highly, and especially in upscale Brentwood. We both had the green salad, which was confirmed to be ginger salad, but was anything but green, and the saddest "salad" I think I've ever had. It consisted of torn white pieces of iceberg lettuce, two slices of cucumber without skin, and "ginger dressing", which was something creamy in texture, but I would never equate to "ginger" in any way. Likewise, the miso soup was a bit flavorful, but contained scant pieces of seaweed, scallion and the tiniest cubes of tofu I've ever seen. My husband had the chicken fried rice which was virtually tasteless; it contained no vegetables, (the usual carrots, peas, bean sprouts, etc.), and was served with something I would liken to thousand island dressing as a dipping sauce(?). I had the tempura vegetables, which consisted of a nice selection of sweet potato, asparagus, mushroom, onion, and broccoli. The tempura coating was more like a thin beer batter, but still crispy, and the typical sweet dipping sauce was not quite as I expected, but still fairly good. I also had two orders of sashimi salmon and tamago (Japanese sweet omelette). Although they were probably the best part of my meal, the pieces were terribly small for the price. That said, the ONLY reason I would possibly give a 3 star rating is because our server, Lydia, was exceptional; and we were her very first customers as a server. She was knowledgeable, articulate, and demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills; unlike a few others who didn't seem to acknowledge anyone at the door, or the tables. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

This place has the most delicious sushi in the area! We had such great service too! Everyone is so kind and the place is sparkling clean. They have a really fun menu to choose from. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for some good sushi!

I guess it's an ok place. Ordered a California roll. Didn't fall off my chair... Lots of screaming babies in the background, if you're into that sort of stuff.That said, staff was nice and they do have a surprising selection of Thai food which I'm gonna try some day. I'll be back albeit the mediocre experience. Something special about this place I have yet to figure out what it is... maybe it's the cool way they name their food items or the decor.To be continued :-)

Great service, awesome quality and overall the experience from being seated to leaving was great. Will definitely come back when In town.

Found this place through all these awesome Yelp reviews! We went for lunch on a weekend during an off hour and it was such a nice and calming lunch.The staff was great! Everyone was so courteous and attentive. Sake and beer selection was great. Orders the shrimp hibachi for our little one and it was delicious. We ordered several sushi rolls and they were all fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this place!

This is my favorite sushi spot for lunch! 3 rolls for $15 and they really fill them up! The Jalapeño Yellowtail Sashimi appetizer is absolutely amazing and the sauce that comes with it is delicious! Highly highly recommdn

I just got 2 rolls and dumpling to go. dumplings were great. sushi on the other hand, was not. I had 2 rolls and first one tasted somewhat bad. then tried the second and actually spit it out. do not go here.

Mother's Day 2024 unusually long wait but still very good quality food and service.Trip to the ladies room revealed a complete DISASTER... dirt mopped 8 inches up the walls all round - yuck.I thought, if this is what the cleanup crew does in the ladiesroom.. what are they doing in the kitchen? Do Better ; )

Nice sushi restaurant tucked away in the Brentwood area. Service was great and the food delicious!
