Sugar Mamma Caramels

Nancy is a caramel maven/wonder woman. Her handmade caramels are the best I have ever had (and trust me, I've tried caramels from Hawaii to NYC). I have ordered her caramels and other goodies for party favors, gifts, and just my family's own enjoyment. Her caramels are worth every penny--she uses high quality ingredients, and everything is made with care and love. While flavors like sea salt are available year-round, she also makes seasonable flavors like Meyer lemon and pumpkin spice. I've gotten to know Sugar Mamma over multimedia platforms, and have purchased her products at several coffee shops around town. Most recently I purchased some Graham Cracker Chocolate Chips cookies which were fantastic!The cookies where delicious. The graham cracker flavor was subtle yet evident. I loved that the the cookies came with an abundant of chocolate chips and that the cookies offer a slight crust on the outside and were very some on the inside. Great cookies!Did I mention that she makes some amazing Caramels. Not just regular caramels, but flavored ones with ingredients such as bourbon, sea salt, chocolate, coffee, chili pepper, honey, and champagne. The list goes on because she keeps inventing more.As of June 2022, you can find her products at places like Pigment, Baba Coffee, Caffe Caritazza, Moosie's Ice Cream, Rust, and now at GEM Coffee SD in Talmadge.

I discovered Sugar Mamma caramels searching for a gift for a coworker. They have an incredible selection of diverse, locally sourced and home made sweets. I bought the pistachio butter caramels produced in collaboration with She's Nuts ( another small local business) . To be brief, Sugar Mamma caramels are the best thing I've put in my mouth in the a long time.If eating Sugar Mamma caramels is a crime, then I'll definitely be repeat offender. I can't wait to buy from this shop again! Most likely sooner than later. Nancy is also the sweetest most kind human being. You won't regret supporting Sugar Mamma caramels.

Had the opportunity to try some products recently. I had won a give away on Instagram and was contacted by the owner to come and retrieve my winnings.Nancy, the owner, was able to accommodate my busy Saturday. When I had pulled up the her location, Nancy came out to greet me with her mask on. We social distanced and chatted for a bit. She is the real deal, guys! I got home and tried her caramels and cookies. I am not a caramel fan, but her products were melt in your mouth delicious! The sea salt caramels I tried were were sugar free but do not taste sugar free. Her gluten free cookies were so good that I tried saving some for my mom and ended up eating the whole cookie.If you have the chance to buy Nancy's products, they are totally worth it! Support local businesses and enjoy her scrumptious sweets!

I cannot recommend Nancy's treats highly enough!! I was first hooked to her beer pretzel caramels, as well as many of the other delicious flavors she offers. Most recently I was BLOWN away by how magnificent her newer treats were too! The brownies are likely the best I've ever had, I think I ate 3 after my first taste! If you like s'mores, you MUST treat yourself to the dark chocolate dipped homemade marshmallows, roasted and smushed between two of her Graham cracker chocolate chip cookies!! Nancy also treated me to a taste of her passion fruit truffles (she grows the passion fruit herself!!) and I will absolutely be getting several orders of those the next time I'm in town as well!! Nancy herself is a generous, loving, caring and beautiful person inside and out. Supporting her business is not only delicious but also feels good in knowing what an incredible person she is!

We ordered different caramels from Nancy when we celebrated my husband 40th birthday, we offered different choices for the guests to pick from and they were gone after 30 mn! It was a great hit ! All of them!!! This year we tried the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with less sugar, they were just D-e-l-icious!!! ;-) pretty rich so one is great to enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee or whatever you enjoy drinking the most but a go for for sure, and a great idea for a gift. Nancy wrapped up the cookies in a cute little box and I picked them up at her door where she welcomed me all smiles, super friendly nice person ! She puts her heart into her treats, owner is as sweet as her treats actually ;-) Go Sugar Mamma, you rock!!!!

The level of perfection in every bite is astounding. A family favorite treat. I love the Dark Chocolate Brownies and cookies, the perfect balance of sweetness without being overly sweet. Added bonus, all locally made

This is a long overdue review... however, sugar momma has it going on! I was absolutely floored at the margarita caramel- I literally could not stop. Did not share one, lol.We also got the salted caramel sauce and chocolate for sundaes- did not disappoint!Sugar momma- I will be swinging by to get my fix on some more margarita caramels this week!

Hands down best caramels I've ever had. One of my favorite San Diego locally owned shops had just gotten a stock of these amazing caramels when I was there. Being a sucker for a good caramel, I bought a bag of sea salt and a bag of champagne caramels. Oh. Em. Gee. Lucious, buttery, and melt in your mouth smooth! I've since tried many of her other flavors. Margarita...totally addictive. Passion fruit, close you're eyes and pretend you're on a tropical vacation. Coffee, a fun pick me up. Lemon, perfectly bright tasting. Rum, yes please! Chocolate, reminds me of childhood. There are so many more flavors, try one, try them all! They are so worth it. And if she is making caramallows, run, don't walk to go pick up a box! While I love to pick them up locally any time I'm in town, all of her treats are worth the price of shipping and I have no shame, I've had them shipped quite a few times. If you see Sugar Mamma caramels at your local San Diego shop, do your taste buds a favor and buy a few!

I first heard about Sugar Mamma caramels from Instagram. Nancy, the owner, has a home based kitchen where she makes these decadent caramels in all sorts of delicious flavors. We had the pleasure of doing a tasting with Nancy and we were instantly hooked! She takes great care to make and wrap each and every caramel by hand with love. She pays great attention to detail for the quality and presentation with her products. Her caramels are available in some local shops in the San Diego area and you can contact her to order as well.
