Sugar Bummm

I had no idea this place existed - thought I was walking into the Italian place after I just bought wine from McCarthy and Shiering. I walked in and realized it was a different place completely. Wasn't sure what to order and didn't want to just walk out. I ordered the lumpia which were very good. I'm guessing they are made by the owner? Either way, they were tasty.

I had a delicious decaf latte in a ceramic cup this morning while chatting with the owner. I learned that she makes custom celebration cakes and since I am in the neighborhood I will try to order from her the next time I need a cake. The space looks just the same as when it was da Pino Italian restaurant, small with just a few tables. Her hours are irregular; she said she's usually there 1-4 weekday afternoons but is trying out being there in the morning.

Great little sandwich and coffee shop and Nikki, the owner is also a fantastic baker who make beautiful and delicious cakes as well of lots of other yummy treats!

The philly cheesesteak with mushrooms and spicy peppers was amazing. I also had amazing service.
