I love SUB! They are that coffee shop that will remember you and your order - truly one of my local favorites. The Staff is always friendly regardless of how busy it is. There are a bunch of cozy seating options inside which makes it a common place to work from! The food is always great and the coffee and blended drinks hit the spot every time. Parking can be a little difficult to find, since they blocked off 30th for the bike lane but, there are usually ample spots up the block near the houses!

hate leaving negative reviews but was super disappointed at my experience here.we went on a saturday afternoon which makes sense to be busier for a cafe, but there was only one girl working. she told us there would be a wait for two sandwiches since she'd have to take everyone else in line's orders and make drinks too, which we said was fine.we expected the wait to be 20-30 mins but ended up waiting for over 45 mins.. we watched her serve the entire group after us, and then keep serving everyone that walked in the door for the next half hour and then make the sandwiches at the very end.on top of this, my iced vietnamese was extremely milky and we asked her politely to remake it when there were no customers left, and the drink tasted even worse after and more watery?? not entirely the girl's fault for the wait and poor coffee, and the food wasn't that bad. but not worth the wait and we don't plan on coming back. much better cafes in the area

A friend recommended that I check out this spot. Overall the visit was decent. There are plenty of food and drink options on the menu, and quite a bit of seating throughout the space, as well as outside. The darker space had a ton of things to look at, from the merch to the decor. The guy who took my order was friendly enough, and was patient as my partner and I checked out the menu before ordering. We went with an iced coconut explosion, an iced white blackberry mocha, and two veggie bagels.It took nearly twenty minutes for our order to be completed, but we were in no rush. Though while we waited, we noticed that almost all of the tables and chair were either sticky or dirty. When we got our order, the drinks were lukewarm and somewhat underwhelming (possibly due to the temperature of the iced drinks). That aside, the bagels were great!

Still unsure about Subterranean. Sometimes, I've had really good food and good service. But, other times, they've been such condescending people making mid drinks while the place is packed for horus and hours, that it's easy to forget the good times.

I got the Lox Bagel, which not only met expectations but also proved to be filling.Service:Nothing too personal but they give you a number and bring you the food at whichever table you decide to sit at. Ambiance: The cafe's spacious layout and diverse seating options created a welcoming atmosphere, avoiding any sense of overcrowding. The incorporation of a cozy couch seating area, an arcade machine, a fish tank, and other decorative elements added character to the ambiance, making it a pleasant place to dine. People seem to be studying and working on stuff on their laptops.

Love the atmosphere in here. It's very relaxed, tons of seating. Great place to study, meet with friends or even go on a date! I noticed people from all walks of life and ages sitting here- some were sitting alone reading the newspaper, some were chatting with friends and I even noticed someone interviewing for a job! Super cozy vibes. The staff was also so friendly and welcoming. I'm giving only three stars because I didn't love the food. It was definitely decent but not out of this world. The avocado toast was fresh but it had something missing. It needed some sort of additional seasoning. I wished I was carrying around the Trader Joe's everything but the bagel seasoning so I could sprinkle it on! My rose chai, on the other hand, was wayyyy too sweet. I told the staff and they were kind and accommodating and made me another but the second one was too sweet as well. I would come back for the atmosphere and if I need somewhere to relax and read. I would not try the same items I got today but they have a large menu so I am hoping that I just ordered the wrong thing.

By no means a high quality coffee shop, but what it lacks in food and drink quality it more than makes up for with its atmosphere and charm. I had a black coffee and the tuna melt. You can find better drip coffee and tuna melts at a lot of places I'll admit. But if you're somebody who likes to go to a coffee shop with a laptop or a book and appreciate space, seating, and atmosphere, then you should definitely check out Subterranean!

My previous reviews were made in error. What I perceived as cozy is really drab, dark, old, cluttered, and broken, which clearly describes the entire environment including all of the furniture and lighting. It is cramped and not a good place to read or relax. The 1 star rating is more than Subterranean Coffee deserves. I would tell everyone that hasn't been here to not bother and find a more friendly place.

I came here to get out of the house and remote work with some co-workers and it was great! I got the Ghirardelli Mocha and it was a hit. The vibe is super cozy and I usually never struggle with finding seating, especially on a weekday.I do think it's remote friendly, but be careful if you need to speak in meetings because it's not exactly the quietest for when you need to talk. It's quiet enough though to where I can focus and get things done. Outlets are available if you can get a table by a wall. Wifi is pretty strong and it was never frustrating to connect to.Parking doesn't take me long to find if I go a block or two into the nearby neighborhood.

Starting with the pros: there's ample outlets, space, tables, and it's so quiet. It really is an ideal work/study spot for sure. The decor is random and fun/antique, it has a similar vibe to Lestat's if you've ever been to one of them. The con was basically the coffee, it's okay. But if you're looking for a spot to get some work done and be left alone, this place is awesome. Also there's parking in the back!
