Submarina Subs and Sandwiches

Thank you Submarina (Santee)! You really surprised us. Our first time trying you out. We're from Boston and we were missing a genuine Italian sub, like we get in the northend of Boston (like little Italy). You guys did not disappoint! What you made was great! 5-stars for Food, Service, and friendly atmosphere. Keep up the good work!

Submarina is on a par with Jersey Mike's. Waaaaay better than Subway (but then, what isn't?). Not as good as Board & Brew.Meat and cheese sliced fresh to order for each sandwich. Fresh toppings.Good for a to-go sandwich, not much to offer for dining in at this Santee location.Service was friendly and efficient.

Best sandwiches but even better customer service. Every person who works there is extremely professional and courteous. I have placed door dash orders here and called to make sure they were correct and every person who has helped me on the phone with my order was so nice. I really appreciate the extra mile all the staff goes in order to make sure you have a great sandwich!

This submarina is so good!! Unlike other sandwich shops, the best part of Submarina is that they smoked cheddar cheese. The gals here don't skimp on your sandwich and are always very friendly. My fave is the tuna melt on squaw. Ordering system seemed to be a little inaccurate (food was done way faster than quoted) which is good to note if you want a warm sandwich. Overall just delicious! Better than subway or neighboring board & brew.

Best sandwiches ever! Turkey on sourdough is awesome! They get online order correct every single time.

Being new to the area, I've passed by every now and then, every time I do pass by there is always a couple people inside ( that tells me that it's good)First impression staff were friendly, even went over certain things on the menu.I ordered the Cesar sand which on their jalapeño bread and omgggg it was everything and more. The turkey and toppings were fresh. The bread was soft and fluffy! I definitely will be back!

This was our first time here and it did not disappoint! We loved our peppered Cali Sub. It comes with turkey, avocado, bacon, and provolone cheese, on the cheddar jalapeño bread. We put all the toppings on, including Italian dressing and salt and pepper. We split an Xlarge between the two of us and loved every bite! That's the way to do it! Would definitely return and recommend visiting Submarina!!

Why are the meats so slimy? I had the Turkey Club and the ham and Turley had an odd sliminess to them. I literally through the whole sandwich away. Even the bacon tasted old and like it was leftover and reheated. I used to love it here, but this was just awful. The employees are always super nice though.

I wish submarine would get it! I go in and order a sandwich and asked the lady to please put my sandwich on paper because I don't want my sandwich on a recently wiped wet board, and she does exactly as I asked but in the meantime with gloves on she wipes the board and the proceeds to make my sandwich on a paper with wet rag gloves yuck! Really !! Don't take my word for it watch them next time they make your sandwich.
