The owner who makes delicious subs!
This is my daughter at the Sub Shop 06/01/2019 more than 32 years after my first visit with my Father. The BEST subs I have ever had!!!
Owner for 30 years. He tells stories of how he came to the United States from China. A delightful guy

first, the customer service. 11/10! The gentlemen running the shop is a lovely and kind person who was happy to chat. I was the only one in the shop, and we had a lovely time chatting about his 37 years in service! Then the sandwich! I got bologna, and it was delicious. I love soft bread for my subs, and the bread was delicious! The bologna was also delicious, the cheese and bologna were sliced right in front of me!The shop was very clean, and super cute. I will definitely be back, and probably a regular!

I can't believe I've never reviewed Sub Shop before. I love coming here for a sandwich. The owner, Wei (pronounced Way) is delightful and you will leave here smiling. Everything here is fresh & delicious. I usually go for the full boat with everything (including hot sauce), and it is easily enough for 2 meals. Bring cash, as it is cash only.

We really lucked into finding this sandwich shop. We meant to go to Subway after getting off of 5 and took a chance on this place instead, accidentally making a memory that will last forever. The owner of this shop is the sweetest man. He has owned the place for 35 years, remembers customers orders, and takes such care to give people a great experience. What could have just been a good sandwich turns in to an experience as you watch him freshly slice meats and cheeses. Plus, he gave us samples of some tasty wafer treats. I wish there were more vegetarian options, though this is a problem not unique to this sandwich shop.Any time we drive towards Everett we'll be making a trip to Sub Shop.Pro tip: This place is cash only. Make sure you have enough on you so you can grab a Hawaiian Punch from the drink case as well.

What a unique and unexpected spot! The owner is SO friendly and personable, the decor of the place eclectic. We ordered the full boat (recommended by the owner) and an italian-like sub (salami, ham, pepperoni). Sandwiches are no frills yummy! Reminded me of a homemade sub (not in a bad way!), but without the trouble! Order the "full size" you get two regular size subs for the price of one- can't beat that quality and quantity!

I stopped in here to try the sandwiches, I drive by often but usually at off hours when this shop is closed. Today I stopped by while they were open. I was looking at the menu deciding what to order and then noticed it was CASH only I only had about $5.50... I asked the owner if I could get half a sandwich for the amount of cash I had (they sell half sandwiches) and he asked me to put the amount of cash I had on the counter. I complied and then he announced that I could get a whole sandwich for that amount, he was fine that I didn't have the full amount for a whole sandwich. I was amazed and touched by his generosity, and accepted the offer. I ordered a #1 and watched as he assembled it. All the ingredients were very fresh and the meat and cheese on the sandwiches was hand sliced to order. The owner is very friendly and has a great sense of humor. The sandwich was absolutely delicious, I look forward to returning soon (with cash!) and trying some of the other sandwiches he offers. It's a very happy thing to be able to support a small local business who really cares about both the product he makes and the people he serves

Wow!! What a discovery, this place was fantastic. The owner, Wai, was the absolute best and customer service was unmatched of places I have been too. That alone will get me back very soon The food was great as well, so you cannot lose. Love the historical things inside the shop, keeps it unique.Definitely a small shop, not a ton of space to eat inside, but still enough for a small group to enjoy food and stories. The only "downside" is that it is cash only, but as long as you know that before coming in, not any issue at all. Cannot go wrong with this place. Glad I picked it at random and will be back too.

I love this place and "the Sub Man." I've been a regular for seven years which is a fraction of his 38 years in business. I always look forward to his "full boat" sub. He uses fresh deli meat that he slices fresh for each sandwich. Nothing fancy, just the basics done right: fresh ingredients and proper proportions. What you get is a great sub sandwich on a soft hoagie bun. It is so much better than the chain sub shops with their frozen ingredients and weird sauces. I get excited thinking about eating a sub with Hawaiian bbq chips and a coke. One of the best parts though is if you can dine in at one of his two kitchen tables. The Sub Man will regale you with stories of his journey to the US or maybe something about a Chinese holiday or culture. It is a special place.

I have never had such a unique and fantastic experience at a restaurant before. After parking in a nearby neighborhood, I walked down the sidewalk and turned the corner onto Broadway. After walking a few stores down, I looked into Sub Shop and was met with an interesting sight. Across every wall was a painting, mask, pictures, or decoration. Each is a memory from over the many years that Sub Shop has operated.Sitting behind the counter, who I simply know now as Sub Guy, is the owner, a cheerful gentleman who greeted me with open arms. His words were engaging and polite, and I found myself smiling as he introduced himself and began explaining the ins and outs of his shop.As I was a new customer, he gave me four free cookies (delicious!) and recommended a whole #15 (which is two sandwiches for the price of one, $13.50!).I found myself fascinated as he cut fresh ingredients, from the meat to the cheese, and all the way to the greens, before assembling them on soft bread.Wrapping the sandwich up, he asked for my drink and chips and swiftly bagged them inside of my take-out bag.One twenty-dollar bill handed to Sub Guy later, and the change stuffed hastily by myself into his tip jar, we said our goodbyes and I stepped out the door, letting out a breath of awe. I had felt like I had just experienced a shop from a fantasy novel.I will most certainly come back again and again.Thank you Sub Guy!
