Before you order, please check the price with them!! Cuz they will raise the price without specifying anywhere. When you got the check and questioned them, they would just tell you oh we change the price but don't have time to update menu. lol this place is such a scam. Tiny food amount with price like you are eating in a 4 star restaurant. It's a take out place!!!! Charge like a take out place please.

This is a hole in the wall and for those who know village Toi san cuisine. The really local dishes are not on the menu and specials are in Chinese. I work close by and was told I could get authentic Cheung fun rolls( rice noodle riolls)I and was not disappointed. My visiting friend and I ordered the egg Cheung fun and the beef Cheung fun along with the tong choy ( water spinach) with Belacan sauce. The Cheung fun came as thin silky sheets with generous layers of beef and egg. The tong choy was amazing- crunchy with hints of chili and dried shrimp. A Chinese family chatting in at least 3 dialects ( toi san, manadarin and Cantonese) was holding a birthday party and we both wanted to join their table of delicious and unusual plates. The mom had a cold milk custard( a HK specialty) there we're split platens in garlicky sauce and an incredible abalone soup. Our waiter was wonderful.

We had reserved a large party (15 folks) ahead of time. It was easy to order ahead in Cantonese/Mandarin. The tables were not the cleanest, but the food was amazing. I would highly recommend the eel clay pot rice, the ginger scallion lobster, and fried milk for dessert. This is your classic hole-in-the-wall Chinatown establishment. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but worth the quality of dishes.

Tiny, cramped spot in a weird neighborhood with so-so service, but the food was amazing. We ordered two vegetarian noodle dishes (one with cilantro and one deep fried). They were so good and unlike any other meal I've had. I highly recommend this spot, it's a hidden gem with some really unique and spectacular food.

This place is a bit off of the main China town blocks and the appearance is very unassuming from the outside. That probably explains the fact that this gem is seriously under appreciated. I've been to several of the Boston China town spots considered to be the best and Su Su gives any of them a serious run for its money. The dishes are more regionally specific than the standard American Chinese restaurant, so it helped to go with some Cantonese friends. Still I think anyone who likes Chinese food would absolutely appreciate the amazing noodles, dumplings, garlic fried veggies, etc. I also recommend venturing out a bit and trying the clay pot rice, rice noodle rolls, and even the porridge: I did not expect them to be as great as they are! The food can take a while and the restaurant can be awfully crowded and cramped. Still, I think it's one of the best, most unique and authentic Chinese food experiences in Boston. A must try!

The pot clay rice with eel and Chinese sausage is so good!! Definitely one of the best I have ever tried in the States. Cheung fun is freshly made so well so It takes time for the chef to make but the wait is definitely well worth it. Highly recommended if you are looking for authentic Asian food from this place.

I rarely give 5/5s, but I have to for this one. Coming from Hong Kong, my family and I are always on the search for the most authentic Cantonese restaurant in Boston. Without a doubt, Su Su Gourmet easily takes the spot. It is genuinely a hole in the wall and it doesn't get enough attention.Let's get some things out of the way. The interior is not the best. It is small and dinky, but it is comforting and homey. The location is off of the main streets of Chinatown, near Tufts Medical and Graduate school, so it was a little hard to find. You know the food is good when the chefs of this place are literally grandmas. The wait for the food is long but it is well worth. Now let's get to the food part. For the rice roll, I have had the rice noodle roll with BBQ pork (4/5), pan fried rice noodle roll with dry shrimp (5/5), and XO Sauce Fried Rice Noodle(4.5/5). I haven't tasted anything like these since Hong Kong. The BBQ one was alright but the XO Fried and especially the Dry shrimp one was heavenly. Their SuSu Chicken (4/5) is pretty good as well. I would rate it a little above what what the siu mei spots around here offers. Their Coconut stewed Chicken soup (4.5/5) is pretty good as well. It tastes like something my grandmas make back home.I saved the best for last, which is the claypot rice. Don't go to Claypot cafe, go to this one instead. Each one is full of flavor and there is a good amount of perfectly crispy but not burnt rice bits at the bottom. I like the eel claypot rice the most (5/5), followed by the eel and Chinese sausage (4.5/5) and then the spare ribs claypot (4/5). The price is not cheap at all, but it is reasonable. However, each food is so homey and comforting that I will pay the price every time I go. Can't wait to frequent this restaurant more!

Food is ok but service is insane. We are a party of 3. When we arrived at the restaurant , there was a part of 2 waiting and there was a vacant 2-person table. However, the restaurant manager just let the 2 person sit for the next 4-person table while let us waiting. I tried to stop the manager and ask why, but the restaurant manager didn't even answer my question. Hygiene condition is also questionable, with a pair of shoes in the basement. Apparently that is a machine used for cooking. MA Food Safety should really come and take a look. Should not visit even you don't have any alternative.

The place is small, but pretty clean.Clay pot rice: the large size had too much rice in it, which is not a good thing because it just tastes like ordinary rice.Rice noodle roll is pretty good.
