I was researching the best place to order a Tres Leches cake in San Diego and this bakery kept popping up. I ordered a round Mocha Tres Leches cake for my husband's birthday a week in advance and it looked and tasted delicious! Perfect amount of moist and lots of fruit on top.The place had many 2-4 person tables available and it was pretty busy on a Thursday morning, which is how you know this place is good! The place was clean and light. I was in a bit of a rush to pick up the cake, so unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try their other pastries. Highly recommend Su Pan for their Tres Leches cake!!

Wow things have changed. I have gone to this place 2 times this year and it has not improved at all. The pan dulce does not have any prices on any of it and it's expensive. My husband and I got 6 pieces of bread and 3 bolillos for $16. I wanted something sweet before leaving SD area and this was only thing open around 9pm. The bread was stale and hard. You don't even get to pick out your own bolillos. We had to rip half of the bread off just to make a decent torta. I will not be returning as they are not up front with prices and not self service for bolillos. Before off going to north gate or Sammy's in encanto

cakes are very goodpan dulce as well torta was ok not the best. but for good cake & pan i recommend parking can be difficult

This was our first time here on a Saturday late afternoon/early evening to look for cake and we will be back! Destiny, who has worked here for decades, helped us with a bright smile right away. We bought three slices of cake (shortcake with strawberries, chocolate tres leches, and vanilla tres leches) for $5.49 each. There is a plethora of other treats and pastries as well a full menu of food.

This small Mexican bakery is definitely a welcome addition to UCSD's price center, with self-serve pastries, ready-to-grab sweet treats and some delicious tortas to boot! Make sure you check out this hidden gem in the alcove next to Burger King.

I ordered desserts here for a Mothers Day brunch we were hosting and was so happy I chose Su Pan! The male cashier was helpful and patient. We ended up ordering a fruit tarte and a chocolate dulce de leche cake, along with an assortment of cookies. The Dulce de leche cake was so moist and had such wonderful flavor, the fruit tarte was perfection with a delicious crust and ripe fruit. We will absolutely visit again!

When entering the first thing I noticed is this bakery is very clean and weak organized. The staff was a bit busy but still able to answer my questions. The cakes...WOW! These are some of the most delicious cakes I've had. The chocolate mousse really taste like your biting into chocolate milk and the strawberry short cake was so moist and delicious. The carrot cake was good but the other cakes are much better. Let's not stop there though...they have delicious tortas that taste homemade and their hash brown breakfast burrito was the best. It wasn't that big but the flavor was on point. I would definitely suggest trying this place.

It's time to update a great bakery still. I'm specifically highlighting their Rosca. This wheel of sweet bread is a treat that goes so well with a cup of coffee, tea or champurado or hot chocolate. I especially enjoy keeping an eye out for piece of rosca which may have the baby Jesus hidden in it. The kings bread is a seasonal delight that comes in many sizes and with or without filling.

If you want your suegros to like you, this is where you come to get them pan dulce. The tres leches cake is a 10/10 and the workers are kind.
