Strawberry Shack

My family and I have been wanting to try the strawberry shack in Carlsbad for a few years. Tonight was the night and it did not disappoint! We walked up and ordered at this cozy little spot. You can stand and enjoy all things strawberry, it's very casual. There's no seating.The strawberry shortcake was the obvious must. The cake was angel food cake. We were expecting shortbread, but enjoyed the fluffy angel cake. It was topped with strawberries and fresh whipping cream. We loved the dole whip strawberry and dole whip strawberry pineapple. It tasted identical to Disneylands Dole whip. We also had the strawberry lava sundae, it had a great texture and sweetness.We had a lot of fun here. It's great for a grab and go dessert.

They opened back in 2020 and after many passings and always seeing a crowd it was never worth searching for parking in downtown Carlsbad. But it's a hot day, it's a Friday and everyone's at work, there were only 3 people at the shop, already parked... it was worth a stop in.STRAWBERRY SHACK SHAKE ($7) - vanilla custard blended with strawberries topped with homemade whipped cream. The cup was drizzled with chocolate. I was expecting a little more "uhmph" of strawberry flavor as this tasted like drinking a strawberry cheese cake. You can taste the salt in it too. I liked it but nothing to rush back to. And if I come here again I'd probably try something else.. just to try something else. My preference in a strawberry shake is creamy and strawberry (no salty). RECOMMEND

Love this place! We were looking for a dessert place after lunch and found this place on Yelp! It's a very unassuming shack on the street so it's very easy to miss! They have plenty of strawberry options. Uncle strawberry tiramisu, ice cream, soda, cannoli, lava cake, and much more! I opted for a swirl cone while my boyfriend got a float with strawberry and pineapple once cream. The cone was delicious. Not only was the vanilla and strawberry swirl good, but so was the cone. The cone was actually strawberry flavored! And to my surprise, the bottom of the cone was a fresh strawberry! Usually a lot of cones gave chocolate at the bottom so the strawberry was a very nice surprise! My boyfriend enjoyed his float too. Overall I will be back! There's no seating but there are 2 tables you can stand and eat at. However, I prefer to eat and walk around, especially if you have ice cream!

FAIR PRICES!!There are a ton of options that should satisfy anyone's cravings. My cravings led me to order the Strawberry Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae. I thought the sundae was priced better than some ice cream shops. There was plenty of each ingredient. I was happy the whipped cream was not out of a can. I am excited to come back to try more treats. Overall, if you want dessert you should try this place out.

We promised the kids a treat post dinner and I found this place searching on yelp. The strawberry shortcake was awesome and the strawberry soft serve was an instant fav for the kiddos. Great spot for a quick and tasty dessert post dinner!

I saw this place on Instagram and thought it was such a cute concept! I loved the aesthetics and the fact that they play strawberry themed songs. However, I thought the desserts were overpriced and not that good.

Ok so I love strawberries !! My middle and I saw this place our last trip in Carlsbad . It's just a little walk up and order kind of place. Everyone seemed nice and quick about getting items made. We tried them twice during our visit and the first time we tried the strawberry shake shack $7 each and I will say it was good but not my favorite, it's more of a smoothie than a shake. We then tried the strawberry dole whip $5.50 and the strawberry lava cake $7 both so yum !!! The lava cake was strawberry flavored with chocolate flowing from the middle with fresh strawberries on top

My girlfriend and I love this place! One of the best little shops to get a unique treat in Carlsbad. The quality of certain items can be hit or miss depending on who is working, but it always hits the spot! I highly recommend checking it out if you are in the area and craving soemthing sweet.

everything is strawberry. They have a variety of sweets from strawberry starburst to even strawberry premier one protein shake. We had the milk shake and the custard and it was really good. There was a line, it has no seating but does have tables you can use

Strawberry shack is amazing!! To share, we got Chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry shortcake, and strawberry cheesecake. All were refreshing, not to sweet, and of course, delicious!! It's a great desert spot and they have many options to satisfy your sweet cravings especially for those strawberry lovers.
