Yosemite Westgate Lodge

We liked everything about this place, it's proximity to the Big Oak Flat entrance to Yosemite National Park, the room (clean, spacious, comfortable), the Lucky Buck Cafe next door with great V/VG dining choices, and even minor details that others have mentioned (piping hot water in the showers, the playground for kids, the large number of charging outlets for our phones/laptops), and the breathtaking view of the stars if you drive just 2 mins away..We would most certainly stay here again, and heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to stay close to Yosemite !

Lodge is in a great location, near Yosemite. I have stayed there many times and the room is very nice.

I was charged double for the room despite a clear error in the booking system. Even my credit card company called to help clear the error, but the manager would not refund the charge. Taking money for a service not rendered is disgraceful, and I would never recommend the company to a friend. There's no telling what other poor business practices are to be encountered there. We visit the area regularly, and thankfully there are many other local businesses we can support

We booked with AAA and we checked with this lodge's $150.00 deposit to get our reserved room which the desk representative gave us a handicapped room. The room was spacious but the floor could have been cleaner especially under the beds, (I dropped an earring which rolled under the bed). The property was cleaned and quiet since the winter season started, we felt safe. The lodge served our needs for economical stay so close to Yosemite.

First time to Yosemite And we stayed here. Not too far from the entrance to Yosemite. It's a cute little hotel. Has a little playground for the kids to play and the room was beautiful and well kept. I would have to say the bed was hard for my liking but everyone is different. I would deff stay here again

This review is half and half, part good, part bad. And I don't like giving negative reviews.First, the good. This motel is very clean, rooms are updated, all the bedding linens, pillows and bathroom towels are fairly new and very respectable. The water pressure is strong, hot water immediate and the bathrooms are huge. The grounds are well kept and overall, this is a great place to stay, especially if you're a Yosemite visitor. It's only about 40 minutes from the gate.Now the bad. I find the management to be rude. It's not the best trait to be in the hospitality business and this is after an encounter with the same man on two different occasions months apart.A quote from Stephen King, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, shame on both of us." There won't be a third time, unless I'm stuck in a snowstorm and there aren't any other choices, but it'll feel like walking barefoot on broken glass.Good luck to you future guests. Maybe this review might dull the edges of the not-so-nice guy.

Tried canceling reservations day before "I get that's a bit too soon to cancel" still get charged full price "which was fine" then got charged another $120 for not showing. Would not ever step foot in a business that greedy.

We really loved staying here, plenty of towels, clean & the best lil cat came to visit. Also Pamela, what's not to love, she was so great!

The room was modern and clean. The people at the front desk were unfriendly and tried to scam us into paying extra fees. Looks like other reviewers had similarly negative experiences with management at the hotel. I'll pick a different place to stay next time.

Very rude and would not recommend! I came to stay and accidentally locked myself out of my room. I went down to ask for help to see if he would come down and open my room. He, the middle eastern man, replied with, "It's not my job" in a very berating manner. It's overall not a bad place to stay, but him scolding me like a child after I spent almost $1,000 left a very sour taste in my mouth.
