Very fast service and reasonable pricing. Every time I go in, there is no wait just in and out within a few minutes. The salesman Andre seems to be very knowledgeable as well.

My mother has a signet ring, she bought with her very first paycheck when she was 15. That was 57 years ago, and the company she bought it from is no longer in business...and even if they were, they'd be located half a world away. She had a medical emergency recently and the EMT's cut the ring off her finger, because arthritis made it impossible to remove it normally. It's not an expensive ring by any standard, but it's sentimental value is priceless! And not to just to my mother, but everyone in our family. I brought the ring to Ybarra Bros and asked if they could fix it and make it a little bigger, so it could go on easily despite her arthritis. Andres was very helpful and definitely understood the personal meaning of the ring to me and my family. I was given a week estimate and a very fair price for the work I was asking for. I agreed and left the ring in their capable hands. What I didn't know yesterday, when I dropped the ring off, was that Alphonse was listening to the story of the ring from his office and decided to make it a priority job. Alphonse called me today to say that the ring was ready and I was shocked. I rushed over to Ybarra Bros and sure enough it was and Alphonse told me that he had made it his priority job.Ybarra Bros treated my mother's simple signet ring like it was a priceless piece from the crown jewels. And it works out even better, because today is my mum's birthday and she got her ring back, in better shape than it was. I will definitely be shopping there myself and I know that if I need a piece repaired, where to take it.

If I could give it a zero star I would. I don't even know where to begin. We took two necklaces in, one for cleaning and one to be extended. The one to be clean came back tarnished and rough textured. They said that use an ultrasonic machine but I believe it was something more like being left in chemicals for far too long. The other necklace, which had a fine thin silver chain attached to both sides of the pendant, came back with the extension of a much larger chain that looked like it was for a mans necklace. It looked like 2 different necklaces joined at the clasps, and tacky as hell. I wouldn't even ware it out, they should have been embarrassed over the rigged job. They did not even bother to finish the chain link with a ring at the end for the clasp, I had to request that at pickup. And when I went to my car, I just kept looking at how tacky the thick chain looked and how unhappy I was with how dull and cheap looking the supposed silver chain was. I decided to test it with a magnet and lo and behold it was magnetic. I walked back in and told them silver is not magnetic, the chain is not silver, and there must be something wrong with their supplier. Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. But let's be honest, looking at the reviews, they are no strangers to scamming. The gentleman behind the counter asked to see the chain and then said that he put the wrong chain on. He said he could fix it by the end of the day. I declined and said I would do it myself just give me a refund. Paid $96 for a fake chain that was just cut off a cheap spool. After I got my refund, the gentleman behind the counter started putting some broken rock looking magnet over it claiming it wasn't magnetic. I explained to him that it's obviously coated with silver, a very thin coat, but it was not truly silver. I brought my magnets out of my pocket and showed him that it is in fact magnetic. And then he continued to try his weak magnet, so I gave him my magnets and told him he can keep them. And then I walked out with my refund and my necklaces that I now need to fix before I can even wear them. I may have got my money back but I didn't even get my jewelry back in the same condition I dropped it off in. But my question is, if you admitted to me out loud that you put the wrong chain on, then why would you continue to even try to convince me that it's real silver... Either its the right chain that's silver, or the wrong chain that's fake. That's when he really gave himself away, they didn't expect me to check their work. Do not take your business here (without a magnet at least) if you value your money and your time. We all work hard for our paychecks, and our time is valuable, so don't waste it there.

Called for a quote to change the glass, and bezel of a watch that I have. I specified that I'd be supplying the glass and bezel. After agreeing on the price that THEY OFFERED, I was told a price 4x the original quote when I got there in office. The jewelry business is full of scum. Stay away from this place.

Looks like a great spot to buy jewelry. They seem friendly and professional. But do not try to sell to them. They offered me about half the melt price for a ring. My guess they weren't aware I know the price of gold per gram. Instead I posted my ring on OfferUp and got three times what they offered me. Just trying to help people not get lowballed.

Beware: I took my wedding ring to Ybarra Brothers to get the tips smoothed. It was $300. It appeared to have been done when I picked it up. I then took in a silver ring with blue sea glass with a cracked band. They said the repair would cost $39. I paid for the repair and when I picked it up afterwards, I was so excited to have my ring back that I put it on right away. When I got home. I realized the blue sea glass was now almost black in color. I called them and they said it was from heating the metal up. It would've been more money if they took the sea glass out. You can also see that the metal is bumpy at the seam where the silver was fused together. I told them they should have called and given me the option to remove the stone first and they should not have made the final decision on my ring. As I completely lost my trust in them, I took my wedding ring to Devon's in Stockton to be inspected and they said the work was not great on the ring as the tips were still pointy. They then did a buff on the tips at zero cost.

This guy Alfonzo Yabarra is a false prophet, but he would call himself a businessman because he sold me and my wife jewelry that was appraised for far less than what it was worth. As the Jewelers Appraiser would said, " That cheap stuff looks like it was purchased out of a mall in the center isles where they sell the plated jewelry". I I'm going to walk in his establishment and give him Back ALL THAT GARBAGE!

Came in with a brand new ring for a resize that I planned to use for a proposal the next week. Gave all the ring details over the phone and they initially said no problem but when I got there said they couldn't do it. The guy helping me (I assume he is the owner) first belittled me for not having a real gold and diamond ring, which I unfortunately can't afford right now. Then he said he had an idea and without explaining what he was doing wrapped a sharp-edged metal ring guard around both sides of the ring with pliers. He didn't charge anything and while it didn't look great I initially trusted his judgement. My mistake. When I got it home and did a fit test on my partner it was very uncomfortable and also noticed that he had scratched and gouged the band, completely ruining the band. I returned the next day and he said it couldn't be fixed and accused me of damaging the ring. He asked what I wanted and I said if it can't be fixed he should make me whole for ruining the ring. He threw a fit, started yelling, and again insulting me for not buying a real ring; told me he wouldn't do anything to compensate me and to call the cops or take him to court. As a jeweler he should understand and be more compassionate about the fact that not everyone can afford expensive jewelry and regardless of whether he thinks the customers jewelry is quality or not, be respectful. Unfortunately he is a low class individual and should be ashamed at how he talks to potential customers and does business. There is no accountability here, think hard before spending your hard earned money with Ybarra.

I brought my family heirloom watch here, while it was unfortunately far too gone for them to service, they offered to help me with using a third party. The third party lost my watch, but Alfonso and Andres took care of me. I felt taken care of and they showed great knowledge. Thank you Ybarra Bros Jewelers!!
