My recent visit to the Wok of Asia at the Lathrop Food Plaza in Lathrop offered a mixed dining experience that left me with a blend of satisfaction and slight disappointment. The garlic noodles, which had piqued my curiosity, unfortunately, fell short of expectations. They were overly oily, making each bite more about battling the greasiness than savoring the intended garlic infusion. The silkiness of the noodles was overshadowed by the heavy texture, which clung stubbornly to my palate. While the flavor was there in theory, it was dampened by the oppressive oiliness that made the dish feel unbalanced and a bit overwhelming. On the other hand, the sauciness of their wings stood in stark contrast to the garlic noodles, renewing my enthusiasm for the meal. These wings were a delightful surprise, coated evenly and generously with a rich, flavorful sauce that hit all the right notes. The texture was perfect; the outer crispiness adorably held the sauce, offering a burst of tangy and sweet flavors in every bite. The meat inside remained tender and juicy, a testament to careful preparation. This dish reassured me that Wok of Asia has the potential to deliver compelling flavors when they get the balance just right. In sum, while the garlic noodles lacked finesse, the wings showcased the culinary promise that this modest plaza eatery holds.Service was rushed -- we had to wait 20 minutes for soggy noodles. We felt judged and honestly I didn't like the vibe of it at all. I would come here for really hungry stomachs, but if you're wanting to enjoy the food, I'd find somewhere else.

The crack fried rice really is cracked. The people that operate this food truck are super friendly and the portions are generous. Also tried the drunken noodles and it was really good. Really well seasoned and a good balance of flavors. Worth trying at the Lathrop food plaza.

Food Truck #4Recently tried this food truck out. This place offers some Chinese and Thai cuisine. After checking their IG, we decided to give this place a try. Orange chicken ($14) 4/5 - crispy chicken coated in sweet and tangy sauce serviced with steam rice. I liked how this dish tasted. Mongolian Beef ($15) 5/5 - wok tossed ribeye with onion, roasted peppers, Chinese broccoli serviced with steam rice. This dish was so flavorful. Usually this dish would be spicy but it was not spicy at all. Never had a ribeye version and this was a hit, meat was tender. The only complain that my boyfriend had was that there was not enough rice.Overall, great food! We enjoyed what we ordered. Gonna have to come back to try out the other dishes.

We ordered the Chef's special shaking beef crack fried rice, the chowmein, fried rice and fried chicken combo, and the salt and pepper wings. The crack fried rice with the shaking beef was my personal favorite. The shaking beef was legit; juicy, tender and paired well with the heat from the crack fried rice. The kids especially enjoyed the combo plate - the chowmein was made with really fresh noodles. The fried rice was also delicious. Flavorful but not overpowering. The chicken wings and garlic chicken were also yummy. We demolished and enjoyed everything. No leftovers made it back home. We can't wait to go back for more and to try some of the other dishes! The staff was really sweet and quick and provided A-1 service. The food truck plaza had so many great options for foodies. We are glad we kept walking towards the North End. Highly recommended!

Ordered stir fry chicken a with half fried rice and half chow mein. Just plain salty chicken and even more salty fried rice and bland chow mein. NASTY FOOD AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Avoid the fake reviews people put here.
