Wild Chinese Buffet

3.5 StarsTakeout/buffet Chinese spot in a Lodi plaza -- decent if you are looking locally for large portions of the usual chow mein, orange chicken, sweet and sour pork, beef broccoli etc fare at a cheap price.I usually get takeout here for home, but for a similar price, they also have the buffet to dine in and sit casually. Pretty clean. I really like their beef broccoli, but it can be hit/miss how much meat you get depending on what is in their generous scoop. The chow mein is actually pretty good in terms of flavor--I usually have to take out some of the cabbage though because they go pretty heavy handed in their stir fry. Most of the other options are fried and not bad but if I just want to get something to remind me of home in the Bay, I just go double beef broccoli.

I'm definitely not wild about this buffet. Now, I will say it's priced well...$9 for lunch, $10 for dinner. But it's far from a perfect buffet. It's a take-out setup, about 16 items, 14 of which are fried items. The exceptions: beef & broccoli and chicken & broccoli. It's literally the most unhealthy of foods, ever -- that's Anti-Chinese is what I say.For what it is, it's okay. Nice and efficient service. Well priced. It's a fix, but just not a good one.

The place is a quaint, little unassuming mom & pops place but the food is the best in town for the price. The egg flower soup and tempura veggies are delicious. The food was very fresh. The chow main was a little bland and the noodles were a bit overcooked. The shrimp was seasoned well and tasty. The pork fried rice was good and had a nice charred flavor, but I picked all the pork out because I'm Pescatarian. There was also no fish on the buffet, but they had items with both chicken, beef and fried chicken. Service was no frills but friendly, and the place is clean, including the bathroom. The quality cannot be beat for the price $8.99 Lunch & $9.99 Dinner.

Great garlic chicken and beef chow fun! The beef is tender and the pieces are plentiful and a good size too. The garlic chicken os boneless but the taste of the batter is delicious. Great prices! Nice servers. Mediocre ambiance but many take it "to go" if they don't like it.

Amazing value and friendly service! Discovered this place while passing through Lodi and could not even believe that the price was supposedly $8.99 for a lunch buffet. It turned out to be true and my friends and I treated ourselves to an extremely well priced tasty lunch!

Thanks Yelp, was in the area and wanted fried cream cheese wontons. Lunch buffet for $8.99 and great reviews?! Figured even if I only eat the wontons it's worth it so the we gave it a try. Place is clean, owners have it down, looks like the husband cooks and the wife runs the register, to-go orders and busing. Food is on point for flavor, limited menu but all your classic items for an American Greasy spoon are there. This is cheap tasty bites done well. You get a LOT if you order to-go. Dine in is all you can eat but you really can't eat more than a plate. As other reviews have indicated, there's only a couple of beef dishes, but the beef is very tender. The broccoli beef was very good with tender pieces of beef and perfectly cooked broccoli. I'm all about the rice and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the fried rice was very tasty, looked and tasted how fried rice used to be with lots of bits of barbecue pork and veggies, unlike the spattering of scrambled eggs and a few pieces of frozen veggies that you get today. And amazingly, they use good quality rice not the cheap stuff that has the texture of dried grains. The Hubbs actually cleaned his plate which rarely happens. One of the chicken dishes had hints of ginger which was fun and the salt & pepper chicken tasted like 5 spice. Most of the dishes were fried options. This would be a great place for party platters to go. Nothing fancy down to their styrofoam plates and cups but you won't leave hungry.

For the price, the food was really good hot and fresh and the staff was friendly and restaurant was clean I would recommend it.
